I am a loyal Starbucks customer since they first came to California in the 1990s. I frequent about four different locations in the Coachella Valley this one being closest to my home. I also frequently travel around the country and other parts of the world where I go to Starbucks. For some odd reason, this particular location never provides sleeves for their hot coffee drinks. Every time I go there, the drink is sitting there waiting because I ordered it on the mobile app and then I have to stand there and wait for five minutes for someone to acknowledge me and to ask for a sleeve for my hot latte. This is the only location that this ever happens in. Today after multiple times of dealing with this, I finally asked the barista why they never seem to provide slaves and he said that their policy is only to provide sleeves on Venti size drinks. I'm not sure why a hot drink of one size can warrant a sleeve over another size. They're both hot to hold onto. I think this is a ridiculous rule. That seems to only be in this location and it's annoying. While I am doing the review, I'll also mention that in any other state and country that I've been to a Starbucks since Covid ended there our stands in each location where you can put your own sugar and put your own vanilla or chocolate powder. Except for in California. I'm not sure how a global company like this can have one rule for California And different rules for everywhere else. Especially when all the other cafés in California have stands where you can doctor up your coffee the way you want it. It's inconvenient and outdated and it's slowly making me want to frequent other non-Starbucks locations, especially when I am in California. read more

I knew there was a reason I don't go to Starbucks and it's not because I'm not a regular coffee drinker. The service is complete rubbish. Sorry, I'm not British, but it was so bad I'm indignant. There was only one person before me so I didn't think it would take to long but I was wrong. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a small (tall) Americana. My sandwich came up right away. But it was clear that my drink got put to the back of the drive through line. Because I watched them serve close to 10 cars at the drive up window before my drink came up. By that time my sandwich was cold and I was steaming mad. Of course as usual, the coffee was burnt and the microwaved food was bland as mincemeat pie. Has a drive through, the ability to order ahead. Definitely walking distance from the river if you're looking to spend some time waiting for your movie showtime or for meeting up with friends. Clean cafe and bathrooms. Depending on the time you come the wait isn't too bad. The baristas are nice, the food is pretty known across all the Starbucks. Never has any drinks and when they do they don't make it correctly. My frappuccino is all milk and no chocolate!! Takes 30 minutes to go through the drive thru even if it's empty. This location is NOT worth it! The employees are nice tho! read more

Another great Starbucks location. I have yet to find a bad location except for one in Northern California. This store, like the others is immaculately clean inside and out. Staff is well trained to make everything in the right way, so the drinks are always delicious I also appreciate the snacks they have to offer like the cake pops. Or the chocolate rice krispie treats. While I was power shopping in Stein Mart, Dear Hubby decamped to this Starbucks. Once I finished across the parking lot, I drove over. At 112 degrees, it was too hot to walk back and forth! This appears to be a newer venue, per the contemporary architecture. It has a large interior space, plus an outdoor patio. They got me fixed up with an herbal iced tea with a splash of lemonade, which was super-refreshing on such a brutally hot day. DH was happy to have a cool indoor spot to plug in his tablet to recharge while enjoying a Frapuccino. This was very conveniently located on Bob Hope Drive near Highway 111. They had a fair amount of customers in the middle of the afternoon, despite the weather. read more

I start off my work mornings with the mobile pick-up app (order is placed under my Husband's name---so most of the staff think my name is Scott). Everyone has always been really friendly and my coffee is always ready before I go to work. I had a busy, hectic lunch today and had little time...so I went through the drive through and had the most enthusiastic greeting at the ordering kiosk...MATTEO was so friendly, nice, cheerful, and totally made me forget about the stress of preparing for Easter Weekend. Apparently if you are not a daily customer here you don't get the same customer service. All I ordered was a Venti dark roast coffee with extra cream. The first one came out and it was cold the second one came out and it was colder. They told me that's because I ordered extra cream. I ordered extra cream and every Starbucks and my coffee is always hot! So for a pre-ordered coffee, not a fancy drink, took 15 minutes inside the store after I had pre-ordered it for a grab and go. Ordered at 8 am through the mobile app and got our items at 8:35. People that walked in ten minutes after we went in to pick up our items received their items before we did. Ordered online for pick up and go. I get there one of my drinks is made the other one the girl spilled on accident. Didn't clean it up left it on the counter and proceeded to make someone else's drink from the drive thru. I sat there for 5 mins before asking for the drink that was already there sitting melting. They handed me the drink I walked out to tell my Bf why it was taking so long. I go back in to check on his drink. One of the workers ask the girl if the drink was ready she nonchalantly states "yea but I think he accidentally took it" referring to the guy working the drive thru. She quickly grabs the drink from the line up and hands me my drink.....ugh I will not be returning here. This a very new Starbucks here in the desert and I would like to give them 5 stars. Super friendly staff - they will always make you feel welcomed in the café and same when using drive-thru. Café ambience - very nice atmosphere where you feel like just sitting there and stay for a bit no matter what you're doing. Cleanliness - spot on! Restrooms are squeaky clean too. Unfortunately it's the most convenient location which is why I come here but there is always a huge line in the drive-through I just waited over 20 minutes for my drink and when I got up to the Window the girl didn't greet me gave me gave me a bag of food which I didn't order any food and then on top of it after waiting that long in line she didn't even have my drink ready. What are you doing all this time? And then after all of that to not even thank me or anything after giving me the drink. What kind of customer service is this?
