I really love their birthday cakes and ice cream cakes. Especially the mint chocolate chip wrapped in a cake roll. I usually order that for my birthday. It is so sweet and delicious. But they have 31 flavors to choose from. Something to please every taste. I really love the rocky road too. It is so choclatey and delicious. I just plain love this place. read more

A special shout out to Angelica who works at this location. She was super patient, helpful, and creative in helping me order a photo cake for my son's birthday. I had a few unique requests that she didn't have a standard solution for but she was willing to Think outside the box and help me solve them instead of saying "sorry we can't". Regretfully ordered a cake here for my kid when we were out this way on vacation. They happen to employ some of the most inefficient, inept people I've ever seen. If you want to feel like you're invisible and then waste a bunch of time standing in line watching someone slowing scoop ice cream and slowly wash dishes after every single person places an order then you should come here. Unfortunately time is something that can't be returned so if you want to waste a bunch of yours then come do business here. read more

We came through on Sunday. It was PACKED with groups and there were only two people to serve us. They are really slow here, but they gotta figure out that schedule. Like if you know a holiday is coming, plan staff for it. That said, I gave them 4 stars. I was in line for prob 20-30min but they had 4 separate groups of people ahead of us and 2 of those groups had to taste every single 31 flavors it seemed. *sheesh!* The portions were good, the chick was sweet and the price was hella cheap! I was like, daaaang I need to come here more often. lol read more

Today Door Dash delivered 2 quarts of ice-cream I ordered from Baskin Robins that was in a sealed bag. When I opened the bag it ripped the paper when I removed the seal. When I open one of the ice creams (Immediately after it was delivered) it had been opened and half eaten. You could also see it had melted and had refrozen. When calling the store the employee relayed the message from the Manager. "These items were delivered today and it must have been the driver". End of discussion. The order was picked up at 6:30 and delivered at 6:40. The drive is 10 minutes. That left very no time to eat the ice cream. The other container of ice cream was rock hard so you could not scoop out any ice cream even if you had the time. In addition it had melted and refrozen which is impossible in a car. Baskin and Robins refuses to take the blame for this. Beware before you buy here. read more

Today was my daughter's 16th bday we just cut the cake and we found a hair in a slice then another guest found another ... long story short my daughter ended throwing up from it ! Ice cream was great, but we waited about 20 minutes in line. The ice cream is so expensive. It's close to $5 for a scoop and we waited a long time. Several other places in the desert have the same quality ice cream with better service and better prices. read more

Ordered online for a triple decker and they canceled my whole order so I thought are they out of ice cream . So my wife called and the only reason they cancelled was because they didn't have that one topping she picked for me. They suck for doing that because they didn't even bother calling and tell us it's not available instead of cancelling the whole order . Now I can't even get ice cream because the refund takes up to 3 days and I don't have enough to re order. read more

I'm giving this 1 star. Every time my husband goes on a ice cream run, from Coachella to La Quinta they always do this. I can go down the street to get Thrifty ice cream, pay less for it to be full. But growing up its like traditional, Baskin Robbins. Also when my husband asks for hot fudge they always give him a hard time, and we don't mind paying for it. I too need to jump in here. I have been going to this Baskin Robbins for 20 years. However. They refuse - even when I write it out for them and even was lucky enough to have the delivery driver call me because they were out of a children' s scoop ice cream - I also bought through delivery. I managed to pick a new flavor from driver not even them calling. Also every time I can't get there so I order delivery the staff chooses to ignore Baskin Robbins protocol. So Many times I receive a cappuccino blast with NO ROUNDED LID EVEN THOUGH THAT WHAT THE ROUNDED LIDS ARE FOR - WHY? Hope the girls read this... Because those rounded lids are for being able to top off with a good amount of whip cream ON TOP OF ALL CAPPUCCINO Blasts because whip cream and ( cinnamon topping) are "INCLUDED" not special request. Also why are they sending home in the bag small spoons when the store has spoons made to serve with the cappuccino blasts on their menu as is the free topping of cinnamon. Or other topping if people choose to add. Also stop sending home straws that don't reach past the lid. Those straws u are sending are not the ones you send with a large cappuccino blast size as it doesn't fit. The driver called me from there and STILL THEY HEARD HER SAY A LONG SPOON AND LONG STAW. Employees for new jobs are out there there and you are replaceable to the employee purposefully sabotaging Baskin Robbins. The owner or district manager of this location really need to talk to their employees that are working there NOW AT 3 pm on 6/19 th afternoon shift. She LITERALLY heard me in the phone and still didn't bother paying attention on how both utensils she DID provide are useless and unable to use n this size. So please. Whoever is doing this as it's happened multiple times in the last week as I have been ordering delivery a lot due to a surgery. Whoever it is knows better hears the requests or complaints and still chooses to continue brinier to make you loyal customers happy. I have been going there longer than she has been alive probably. SOMEONE DO SOMETHING YOU HAVE A SABOTEUR ON YOUR HANDS THAT CONTINUES TO PISS OFF YOUR CUSTOMERS. PLEASE NOTE THIS SHIFT SPEVIFICALLY AS ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN YOUR STORE 4 hours ago just complained to. And to the employee who keeps doing this I have something to say in person directly to her and will when I see her next. She is not having Baskin Robbins reputation or appreciation for you regulars that know better yet she continues. She sent the driver home with a smal little spoon not much larger than your tasting. What's someone with a LARGE MILKSHAKE GOING TO DO WITH A LITTLE SPOIN MEANT FOR SCOOPS. IS SHE NOT TRAINED TO YELL THE DIFFERENCE. SHE MADE NO REMARK ABOUT BEING OUT OF THEM WHICH OS WHY THW DELIVERY DRIVER CALLED ME WHILE THEY WERE IN THE STORE SO EMPLOYEE HEARD MY REQUEST AND STILL CHOOSES TO IGNORE. Very nice employee, horrible scheduling. I understand we are in a pandemic but if you're going to have an establishment, that isn't an essential, schedule enough people to cater the business. I went in there and there was one employee, she was so sweet, I believe her name was Mia/Lia, what a doll. By the way, who was handling everything herself. Which ever female worked in this store on July 5, 2020.... is ridiculously rude. They got my order incorrect and on the wrong pick up date then refused to refund my money or help my mother who was picking up the order for me. So now my 11 year old daughter doesn't have her birthday cake and we have this rude woman to thank for that. We will be contacting everyone possible to make sure this woman learns a lesson. read more

Been going to our local Baskin-Robbins in Cathedral City for their ice cream cakes for at least 20 years for every birthday in our family. Last few years the service has gone down the drain so we decided to try this Baskin-Robbins for our usual ice cream birthday cake. MISTAKE!!! I'm not sure if the employees are aware what Baskin-Robbins cakes are supposed to look like; even though they are floor to wall postered onto every window and wall throughout the store. But the cake we got was just flat out sad !!! I'm embarrassed to put candles in it and say we got it at Baskin-Robbins. If you can't make a cake, don't sell cakes. When I visited palm desert last week I was in the mood for frozen yogurt but I ended up at the Baskin Robbins in LA Quinta. They have the most amazing ice cream cakes I've ever seen. I have friends who live in rancho mirage and they drive to la Quinta Everytime they need a cake for an occasion. Next time I am in town if I stay in indio or Palm desert I will make Baskin Robbins la Quinta part of my itinerary. The ice cream is amazing and they have all of my favorite flavors plus new and exciting flavors. They also have several flavors of ice cream in pre packed quarts that you can take home with you. The new polar pizza is awesome! It is perfect if you need a treat for a kids school party or sports game. It's easy to serve and kids LOVE it! The price is reasonable too. read more

Awful Service!! And place looks filthy. I got a cookie ice cream sandwich. They of course didn't have a variety of cookies just two chocolate peanut butter cookies that looked like they had been sitting there all day. They were hard as a rock!! And she asked me if I wanted for her to warm up the hard stale cookie. I said yes I didn't know the cookies were hard and stale. The girls that work there look so angry and bitter. I don't understand why they are there if they don't want to be there. Service is awful and that ice cream cookie sandwich was disgusting!! Sugar over kill and the cookie hard as a rock and stale!! This is THE spot for Ice Cream Cakes and everything Baskin-Robbins has to offer. I have family living in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indio, Palm springs and Coachella and they all come to La Quinta just so they can get a piece of this deliciousness. Honestly, no se donde empezar. I was pretty much a regular at this place and had to get used to the racial remarks/jokes from their white staff. Whenever I entered, the white staff members would make remarks like, "Hide your green cards everyone" or "Here comes El Chapo" and would burst out in laughter. At first I would just awkwardly smile, but after a while it became quite excessive and was making me and other latino customers super uncomfortable. During my last visit, one of their employees named Kim refused to accept my cake order and said "we don't make those cakes in America" - referring to a piñata cake design. When I asked to speak to the manager she said "good luck hombre" and walked away. I reported this behavior to the store owner directly and she insisted that there was nothing wrong with the conduct. That it was freedom of speech. When I attempted to level with her, she laughed and hung up. It's quite a sad and unbelievable story. With this in mind, I would like to personally say that this account is strictly and entirely alleged and not meant to be taken as fact in any capacity. This place is a dump and the service is awful! I think the ice cream isn't even legit Baskin-Robbins, it's always melted and once this worker named Aiden served me from a Walmart 'Great Value' pint and insisted it was from BR. When I attempted to cancel my order, he refused! He screamed at me and said it was too late. Not to mention the fact that he had a full beard and WAS NOT wearing a hairnet and sticking his entire head in the freezer when scooping. All their ice cream was littered with beard hair! GROSS! Unfortunately, my son found several facial hairs in his mouth as a result of the ice cream and was forced to toss it. We reported the incident to the supervisor at the time, Angelica, but she said that Aiden's mom was the boss and that there was nothing she could do. For the record, this entire experience is alleged and to my recollection it was so sad and so gross. I think this place is in need of a serious change of ownership or a possible exorcism. Im a single older guy who likes to bring my dates here for some ice cream after a long one. Let me just say this the young boy working there shouldn't be allowed to have a food handlers card. There was a pubic hair he calls facial hair in my sugar free pineapple coconut scoop turned my date right off. Then when i asked for another scoop to replace my tainted pineapple coconut scoop he said "we don't do that here old geezer" he then laughed maniacally in my face. I have high blood pressure and this event made my blood pressure rise i had to go the ER because i was so embarrassed and angry i could have died it was so high. The doctor said i cannot be getting angry also my date never called me back. A little rude boy who clearly was never taught manners by his parents could have cost me my life over a hair in my sugar free pineapple coconut scoop! I had the most frightening experience at this location! I remember one of the employees threatening to pull a knife on me if I asked for another flavor sample or if I didn't hurry up with my order. I wasn't too sure. The store was relatively empty and while I was looking at the flavors I think he said something to me like "if he doesn't hurry, I'm going to have to pull out my knife". Before leaving I asked his coworker for his name, she said it was Aiden. After the incident, I called back the next morning and spoke to a rude woman named Kim. She must have been a chainsmoker by the sound of her voice. She refused to document my account and called me a liar. I told her I would be contacting the store owner and she said "good luck, I'm best friends with that dummy". I am in disbelief. I brought my 7 year old daughter here for some ice cream after her waterpolo practice and I think the store owner was in, I'm not sure. But to my surprise the rudest, old white woman approached from the backroom and offered my daughter free ice cream. We were grateful at first, but then she said, "You Mexicans are too quick to accept handouts." Are you kidding me? I was shocked, as a third generation Ecuadorian woman I was extremely offended! Holding back tears, I grabbed the ice cream from my daughter and placed it on their counter. As we rushed out the front door, the lady shouted "Snowflakes", "BUILD THAT WALL", and "TRUMP 2024". We have not gone back. I think this location is notorious for this type of behavior and I hope Corporate catches wind. SUCH BAD SERVICE! My little sister and I were assisted by a worker named Aiden who made us feel extremely uncomfortable. His entire demeanor was OFF and he refused to serve us our ice cream in cups. And when we asked for spoons, he sighed so loudly. When it was time to pay, he threw my change on the counter and when we began walking away we could hear him laughing and making fart noises. Needless to say, my sister and I have never been so humiliated in our lives. I don't plan on returning. BEWARE! ROACH INFESTED!! My friend and I went in for some ice cream today and were absolutely SHOCKED to find the place crawling with roaches! Even thinking about it now gives me goosebumps! There was an older lady in the back crouched in the corner with two tall Raid cans fumigating the place as we ordered. Not long after, she came running out and screamed at us to move aside as she chased down two roaches - SPRAYING THE BACK OF OUR LEGS WITH RAID! YES! YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! So disgusting! Omg can I just say customer service is fantastic. Way to go. The girls there are definitely hard-working young ladies. They got through my order fast no wait for me and my family. The three girls working Tuesday were very welcoming that I can't wait to come back for more ice cream. And there cakes are gorgeous!! Cake decorators definitely know what they are doing. Brava.
