I'm sort of in denial about living in Ramona, and this Starbucks helps ease the ennui. The baristas are friendly and the place is always clean. Everytime i come here i order the same drink for the past couple months they never EVER make the drink the same all i order is a vanilla bean with raspberry Syrup something so simple i don't understand how they always mess it up or even give me the WRONG DRINK. i've ordered carmel crunch frappuccino and it tastes nothing like it they used to have the best service and make the drink's perfect ever since they remodeled and got new workers in there no one makes the drinks correctly i'm disappointed they need to do better. read more

The male employee with dark hair needs to learn how to make drinks. He filled the drink entirely up with ice and the venti drink was only 3/4 of the way full. After trying to get it remade, it was still the same. He insisted that this is how it is made. I've ordered a ton of these and it's never completely full of ice and only 3/4 full. 100% WASTE of $6! DO NOT TIP UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR BEVERAGE IF ORDERING ONLINE! I was able to retract my tip, thankfully. No other employee tried to improve the situation. I'm sure a "manager/supervisor" was there. I am utterly sick of this location messing up my oatmeal each time I come through. That's 4 dollar waste every time. They either put to much water so it's soupy, or they forget the blueberries. This time the girl put what felt like Luke warm water ana the oatmeal never actually softened much and was to soupy. Great coffee and friendly workers. They do tend to always be super busy during peak hours and it can take upward of 20-25 minutes in the drive through. So leave an extra few minutes early if you're on your way to work. They sometimes get the food items wrong. But overall a great Starbucks location read more

This is one of the nicer Starbucks I have been to, and I am no stranger to Starbucks. I love that they have a drive thru. The outside has ample seating with nice places to sit and not too much sun. The inside is really spacious and again has nice seating. The staff are really helpful and did not get upset at my large order. They were also really quick! I know there are some local places for coffee and I haven't yet had the pleasure of checking them out. However for a chain you could do a lot worse, and for a Starbucks this one is really nice! read more

Ordered three paninis thru the app, a Turkey Pesto, a Chicken Bacon, and a Chicken Caprese. I went to pick them up and only the Chicken Caprese had been toasted. Im not being dramatic. It's not that they undercooked them. They literally put two paninis from the cold case into the bag. I had to unwrap them from the plastic package they come in. In this case it was okay because I was taking them home and could heat them up, but if we were road tripping and they were cold it would've been pretty irritating. Double checked my order and nothing was incorrect. As far as I know, paninis come toasted as standard unless ordered otherwise. Used to be a former barista partner so this particular interaction just felt lazy to me, especially since the paninis are pretty expensive. While the drive through it's self appears long at times in appearance, it goes extremely fast. I am reviewing on my drive through experience only. I have two locations between my home to go to, and usually choose to go the opposite direction due to service here. While most the employees are friendly, some go that extra mile with the contagious smile, happy attitude, and appear to go that extra mile to start your morning off with a contagious Positive attitude. Ordered a trenti peach green iced tea with one pump of sugar. 5 miles down the street I take a sip and it's a trenti green iced tea. No peach. No sugar. Grrrr. One of the most beautiful Starbucks' in the area! Beautifully designed! The baristas are wonderful! So friendly! I had one experience where it was pretty busy and it was taking a little longer than usual, but I don't mind waiting for Starbucks haha. I was standing by the wall when one of the employees walked up and handed me a treat card. To use for any drink on my next visit to any Starbucks. They apologized for the wait and were so friendly. This Starbucks continues to get worse. It used to be just a horrible service where they would get your order wrong and then get mad at you for saying something. But now I believe they have started to water down their coffee or use less beans. Just now I went in and decided to get a blonde pour over instead of drip coffee as I find it stronger. But surprise surprise it's just as watery as their normal drip coffee and such a waste of my time. I decided to add half-and-half so it had some flavor and of course even with the manager sitting there and seven people behind the counter it's empty. I feel like the latest batch of baristas here honestly do not have proper barista skills to be making drinks. READ the sticker of the order! So often I get handed my drink sweetened with 6 pumps of disgusting sugar when the sticker clearly says no liquid sugar aka unsweetened as I ordered. Do your job and read the label before you throw the drink together and hand it off to a paying customer. Being busy does not justify not reading a simple order to get it right. It is so frustrating to be down the road, take a sip, and realize my tea was fully sweetened, therefore wasting $3+ on it. (Teas should never even be sweetened in the first place.) Another major issue is when I have ordered a drink and specified a non-dairy milk like soy or coconut and then get my drink and it's cow's milk. This has happened multiple times. Imagine someone gets their drink and they have a severe allergy or reaction to dairy and had specifically asked for a non-dairy milk. Please please please start reading the order labels and ensuring the drink is made as the customer ordered. read more

I like the comfy chairs and couch. I sometimes come here in the afternoon and use the WiFi and people watch. The outdoor seating is lovely though there's the drive thru next to it so you always hear what others are ordering. What I like most is that the store came out for a full 24 hours to serve us coffee, tea, fruit and pastries during the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. They even slept outside at their booth on air mattress. They'll have my loyalty because of that! Yes, I like their coffee too. read more

I come to Ramona almost every day and stop at this one. They've messed up my drink only one time. They gave me a venti instead of a trenta, whatever. It was once and I got over it. I am usually treated well inside the store. BUT the reason I am giving three stars is the customer service in the drive thru. I almost always have an issue with the way I'm being treated in the drive thru. I understand it's a little less of a personal experience than going inside, but customer service should still be present. At least a hello, how are ya, or a little more than just taking my order and on to the next one type treatment. read more

Thank goodness for a Starbucks on Main St. My other favorite Starbucks drive through besides the one in Miramar. The ones in Point Loma were horrible had poor, unorganized and understaffed guys working as baristas who kept messing up the orders, or it just tasted like rainbow farts. The guys here are awesome enough to get the drive thru moving even through peak "happy hours" and no matter how hot it is or how tired they must be, they always seem so friendly. They messed up my order once, but a girl there was happy to whip up another frappe free of charge for us. Each time I've been to their drive thru they're oblivious to my dead tired face and ask me bout my day and etc. Their service is so much better compared to the drive thru Starbucks on Rosecrans St in Point Loma. read more

These folks will attempt to stick it you every chance they get, at an extra cost too (will explain later). Yes, even the guy who worked on my house, that I ran off, because he brings Heroin into our town. Locals know who I am talking about with all his handmade signs for services posted around town. Funny thing, this is a haven for our local, unemployed, junior college dropouts kind of folks, who's their parents may or may not have kicked out of their basements earlier that day. Drinking free Starbucks water and using free wifi, be prepared to be confronted "expertly" on ever sliding scale of their Social Justice Warrior Mores (our town is 78.3% White according to the last Census). Topics of confrontation with the company's failed "Race Together" program to the failure of implementing Bernie and Socialism here in the US, and other things. Look close, our "Experts" will even get the free extra lemon wedges, add sweeteners for "Hobo Lemonade." Update: Went in about a month or so ago, not by choice. There is a local woman that knits items to help pay for her deductible for her medical treatments. She insisted on Starbucks. So, I go in and ordered a Medium Dark Roast in a Large Cup so that while driving on Hwy 78 the coffee would not spill all over the car. "Betty" charged me for a large coffee and refused to budge when asked about the extra charge. Never before and never since have I been charged extra simply for a larger cup with the same amount of coffee as the medium. I have inquired at other Starbucks and their managers, and have been assured this is not their policy. I visit this Starbucks location several times each week. Over the past few months, I have had to ask that they "re-do" the grind on my whole bean coffee. Sadly, this is not an isolated experience. For whatever reason, they can't seem to get the course grind right (twice now in 3-weeks). While most baristas gladly honor my request to re-do, the Manager once acted as if I was making a false claim. I wished that Ramona had a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Got to the window and was blown away it was $4 something for a tea. Drive off and took a sip only to find it was a green tea latte. I didn't even know that was a drink until I was rudely told if you order a "hot green tea, that means a green tea latte" and was also informed if I wanted a hot green tea with a tea bag and hot water it's some other long name I have never even heard of nor can remember at this moment. They switched my drink out, but didn't refund any difference in cost and was told the correct way to order next time.
