Beautiful store and location - bad staff and customer service Visit on Sunday 1/11: the lady taking our order inside the store was on her first day and obviously struggled a bit (but was polite and asked us to be patient which we were since we realized none of the staff helped her when she reached out then on multiple occasions). Ok, the drinks: the lady making the order was clearly more interested in conversing with her co-workers then paying attention at what she was doing: our shaken espresso/half-and-half/extra shot of espresso had nothing of the customizations .... And wasn't even shaken, she just dumped all the ingredients and called it a day. Pike coffee: waited 10min as they forgot to hand it out: 'it'll be right there' was the reply 4!!! Times - patience we have but for incompetence not really. The restaurant looks beautiful and has a nice patio. For better reviews and more customers: change/train your staf! Stopped by here on a road trip and really like how nice the staff was and actually delivered on the order as well! Tried the Lavender Latte with Matcha and it was a really delicious drink! I was a little skeptical about the lavender and matcha combination but it went really well together. We got almond milk but it was still creamy and really lovely. This is the exact reason why I don't leave tips for fast food workers. I went into the Starbucks at 5:15 in the morning and ordered a large coffee, extra half-and-half and two Stevia's and I ordered a breakfast wrap with a Sriracha sauce. I got my food and I took off out of there cause I was in a hurry to get to work. When I tried to eat my breakfast wrap it had no Sriracha. But they charged me for it. And then I went to drink my coffee and it was totally sour. Something was definitely wrong with it. Also, it did not have any sweetener in it and basically they either dumped in theStevia and didn't stir it but that doesn't really matter since the coffee was totally sour. The fact that you actually advertised a message about supporting Veterans on Veterans Day with a free "Tall" drip coffee that's basically $3 dollars (yes, even that is shocking), to thank veterans for their sacrifice is appalling! You can keep your ridiculous tall drip. As a veteran, I will never order and support Starbucks any longer. This is coming from a loyal long time customer. This particular Starbucks has always been a third space for me, as I live very far from Ramona and many of my work and school obligations are here. I have often come here during gaps in my schedule where driving home just doesn't make sense but it's long enough to need to be somewhere. That being said, this location has taken a nosedive. First of all, the remodel has completely ruined the vibe. The big communal table with limited individual seating makes for uncomfortable interactions and isn't very inviting particularly when shady people decide Starbucks will be their spot. Not lots of room to sit and work at all. Secondly, the rampant problem of their "customer" base. I get people need places to go, but drugged out homeless people sitting all over the place barefoot and doing gross shit is unacceptable. Today, I went in to do some work and all the spaces were full except this big communal table. At the other end, a guy clearly on drugs was sitting slumped against the wall. I tried to just ignore it and sit at the other end. I take me stuff out and the man gets up. Starts erratically moving. Grabs something from the counter which may have been his. Starts taking napkins out and throwing them all over the table. And walking back and forth and around me actually tweaking out on whatever drugs he's on. This wasn't the first time i've seen this, but it's the last. Employees did nothing despite there being several kids and teens in the store at the time. Disgusting. Starbucks has always had subpar food and drinks. That's not why i go, whatever it's Starbucks. But the vibe is completely ruined. This place can be hit or miss. When it's busy, it's a miss. I can't blame the workers. They're working their asses off to fill drive-thru orders, Starbucks app orders, and walk-ins. It ends up with long wait times, drinks made wrong, and unavailable stock. But when it's slow (anytime before 630am), it's a hit. I once placed an order on the app at 6am, and it was ready within 7 minutes or something crazy. But another time I came in at 830am, and not only was the order not ready for another 20 minutes, they were out the drink so I had to take the empty cup and get back in line and reorder something else. Again, not blaming the staff. They work crazy hard. But I do wish corporate would find a better system. Dealing with orders coming in from three different channels is just insane during a rush. My advice? Go before the rush or don't go at all. A quick note on the renovation, two bathrooms is great and the inside is roomy and bright! read more

Went in on a Tuesday not busy at all nor was the drive thru busy maybe 4-5 cars at most . Walked in just to get 2 cake pops and a venti ice water . You would think it'll take 5 mins at most to get my whole order done including transaction . NOPE it took 5 mins for someone to even acknowledge I was even there another 5-10 mins to even get helped and 15 mins to get my whole order . I had a long day and ended up getting some pretty upsetting news and by the time I was at the window, this sweet girl with curly hair(I think she was blond), saw that I was really right in the middle of a break down. She wouldn't let me pay for my drink and asked repeatedly if I was okay... and honestly, 1) I'm so sorry to her, I did not mean to be so emotional and 2) I'm so grateful. Even though it was just one drink, it was really the first nice thing I had gotten for myself in awhile and I want to thank her so much. I hate the way this store has the drinks that have been Made and awaiting pickup right next to the register. I saw several people touching the lids of all of the cups trying to figure out if it was their order. People who are ordering are breathing and coughing over the ready to go drinks. I went today, patiently waited because the my were slammed and after 9 minutes, my drink was made. However, I got very I'll after drinking it. I don't know what was going on but the baristas kept showing cups that had something gross inside them. I swear there was something in mine that made me sick. Why, you might ask and really what is the difference from Starbucks to Starbucks (if only it were as cool as placing a different space invader in each one)? It's the larger space, the higher cushioned booths, the cozy patio - the space just works here! Not everyone will be thrilled with this: but if you sit on the patio you will hear all the orders at the drive thru - it's kind of the day in a life of a Starbucks employee (just in case you are curious)! I don't know why they keep changing out the store manager when it's obviously the employees who don't care about their customers' preferences while ordering that makes me give it a 2 star. The last guy was great! Maybe start hiring people with good customer service skills rather than constantly switching out the management like that is going to help. The kids that keep getting hired don't give a Rats behind what we order, they're just programmed like robots to squeeze every cent out of you they can, but can barely manage to give out proper customer service.
