I was excited to try the matcha since they have ceremonial grade and I tried the Graceful. I came here a decade ago and remember their drinks not being sweet so I didn't adjust the sweetness. It was too sweet for me and I realized I don't like lavender syrup because it's too over powering. Customer service was great. There regular matcha with cream top is sooo soo good. After about 6 times coming here, my favorite is the Courageous and Kind Hearted. Their cream top with salt and some cocoa powder my favorite add on if I have the room in my stomach since it's a little heavy. Their birria burritos are my favorite and I'm Mexican and have had all the burritos. The tortilla is fresh and chewy. The birria is perfectly seasoned. The beans are fresh and the molcajete salsa is so flavorful.

I love cafe de olla and as they say, it didn't disappoint. I got an exceptional cup of cafe de olla latte, thanks to Elijah, who was a very welcoming and and friendly young man who help me at the counter. He answered all my curious questions. It is such a small shop. There are no seating arrangements inside the small shop that has a lot of merchandise from T-shirts, sweatshirts, to coffee beans to mugs, etc.. from the looks of the mugs that are featured here. This shop has been in business for a decade, more power to you. I hear vibrant and cultural music that is faint enough for you to be able to carry a conversation, I really love that. This is right by the Metrolink train tracks street parking noted and there appears to be a public parking that's free along first street this shop is in the corner of first Street and Main Street. . There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention).
