Quite possibly the slowest Starbucks! They can't seem to get an iced tea and a slice of banana bread ready in under 15 minutes. You either have to wait for your food or for your drink. Do better. read more

To preface, I've been coming here for the past 7 years. First off, the product/food/drinks - NEVER have I had an issue with any item I've ordered. I've been to this location A LOT and only once or twice was my coffee just a little too sweet but again that's out of the thousands of times I've grabbed coffee from here and tbh it wasn't so bad to where I felt like they needed to redo it. The amount of times they get it on point is BEYOND those 1-2 times. I'd give them a 10/5 on the quality of food/drinks. This has to be the BEST Starbucks I've been to and I've been to TONS in various states. Second, the service. I don't know what's going on in that building but they ALLLLL deserve raises including the managers of course because every employee always seems so happy to be there even if they're exhausted from being up so early in morning. They're welcoming, friendly, and I've had a few who have known me from my order, voice, or once I got to the window. They go BEYOND your average customer service. Third, atmosphere. Because they're happy with their jobs (or faking really well) it shows in the vibe you get when you walk in. There's high energy in there, it could be the caffeine, but I'll take it. That's what I'm there for anyway. Either way, there's great, positive energy when I walk in and that's what I'm all about. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this location. 10/5 on everything! read more

Went into Starbucks on Dove Valley, picked out two mugs they had out for sale. Cashier couldn't ring them up because they weren't "released yet" and wouldn't ring up on the register. Was told I couldn't buy them until Monday. I asked if she could hold them for them, was told they can't hold products, and to come back on Monday. What!? First they wouldn't manually ring them up, second they wouldn't hold them for me. They wouldn't break the rule to sell something before it was released, but it was okay to break the rule of putting it on the shelf before the release date. The girl offered us a strawberry acai, and said "It tastes the same" (uhhhh no but ok). When ordering I knew what I wanted, but after each item she seemed like she wanted me to stop ordering (I order three drinks and three pastries) We sat at the window without a greeting and she wasn't friendly when she opened the window... The staff are great. However, it's so loud - blaring music - indoor and outdoor. To top it off, it's not chill music. Always feels more like Club Starbucks. It's not a relaxing environment where you're going to linger, stay, and in turn, buy more. It's a get in and get out situation that feels like nails on a chalkboard due to the sound. I think a lot of us are over the loud music or any music at all in public places. We're bombarded with sounds and technology all day. And outdoor music? Why? What would be nice is listening to the birds chirping in the trees and getting some peace and quiet while enjoying a coffee. Can't stop progress and hell, we have so much desert left to pave over-we can't stop now. That pretty much sums up this little corner at Dove Valley, out in front of the new Fry's shopping center. Ok, little rant over; let's talk coffee. Talk about a job I could never do, keep track of the shots, flavorings, iced, hot, upside down, thingamajig. They always do such a great job and with a wonderful attitude. I'm sure they have their moments like we all do but by and large, you can pretty much count on a smile and great service at Starbucks. Iced Americano and Nitro iced coffee have been my go-to's lately. If you haven't tried the Nitro yet, it's definitely worth the splurge. So incredibly smooth and tasty, no need for added flavorings or sugars, stuff is amazing. Quick hit for the Starbucks app. Truly a great app and a huge timesaver. I can place my order as I leave Apache Wash trailhead four miles away and my order is ready by the time I get there. I stopped going as frequently to Starbucks around the country because the partners didn't seem thrilled to be there and would often get very basic drinks wrong. I had placed mobile order that said it was going to be ready at 7:06. I am just now getting in the car from getting my drinks at 7:30 which school starts at 7:30 and I rely on Starbucks to be truthful and have the drinks ready at the correct time they say. I went to this location at 12:45pm during the week this week and not my first time here so I am a repeat customer (but not after what happened, will not be back here again). Walked up to the counter, the person working the counter was a tall woman, with brown shoulder length hair. I ordered a brewed coffee and she informed me that they do not brew coffee after 11:00am. WHAT??? Starbucks, a coffee house does not brew coffee after a certain time of day? I asked her if they had ANY flavor of brewed coffee, I was not asking for anything particular and she said no, I can only do a pour over. Now, not everyone works a 8-5 or 9-5 job so someone else's morning cup of Joe may not always be consumed in the early hours of the day. I have been to several other North Phoenix Starbucks locations and ordered coffee at lunch and mid-afternoon and NEVER have I been told they did not have ANY brewed coffee at those times. I left and will NEVER come back to this location as I feel I was provided zero customer service! For those of you who know this location, you know there is also a Starbucks stand inside the Fry's across the parking which is where I went next. I went up to the 2 ladies working and asked them IF they had any brewed coffee and they looked at me like I was crazy for even asking that question. I laughed and told them what had happened to which they both replied to me that Starbucks is to always have at least 1 brewed coffee option available throughout the day. I really try to give this Starbucks a chance but yesterday was final straw. I did the drive through and tried to order a peppermint mocha- they are out of peppermint (and we all know they are always running out early if seasonal flavors). I asked if they still had pumpkin spice and the employee on the speaker very rudely said "No that's been out of season for months! Is there anything you want?" There was a line behind me so I said I would just pull through and he's like "great! Have a good day" but very sarcastically. I worked food service for years so I get having bad days but being a total jerk is not cool. I get around the curve and we are 4 cars deep and I knew I wouldn't have time to get to the other Starbucks before my 4:30 appt. So I tried to order on the mobile app and that location had it turned off. So I get to the window and asked if I could order a grande caramel brûlée latte. "lijah" does a sigh and say "so you don't want the Carmel macchiato now??" I tell him that I was the one trying to order a peppermint mocha and was going to drive through but had decided to grab the latte instead since I was stuck in the line and I apologized for the inconvenience. He literally rolls his eyes, sighs and then loudly exclaims to his coworker that "she didn't want a drink and now she does" then he closes the window and takes off his headset and starts talking to her. And you don't have to read lips to see he wasn't being nice. Then he comes back and says "well yea it's going to be awhile" and closes the window again. I tried calling the store later and today but the line is busy. Hoping a manager will read this and speak with this kid. Customer service is not his forte and something he can work on. I love coming to this Starbucks as the morning crew know me by name and already start working on my order. Don't be fooled by the long lines, unlike the drive-through up in Anthem, they are super quick. If your really in a hurry, you can order through the starbucks app and pick up your order.
