Gouda egg

Didn't really care for the microwaved egg on the bacon and egg gouda breakfast sandwich. Starbucks version is better. The holiday white chocolate breve was overly sweet.

Stopped by for the first time for a for an iced latte. Black Rock Coffee has a cool and clean interior with natural lighting and wood accents. I was most impressed by the customer service. The barista was so friendly and helpful when I was deciding what to order. She also told me how to sign up for rewards and get a free welcome drink and annual free birthday drinks. Lastly, she offered me multiple cute fall themed stickers. I ended up ordering the Mexican mocha with oat milk and it was smooth, balanced in flavor, and not too sweet. This is a good spot for fun drinks but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for the highest quality espresso. Would definitely return if craving a fun drink!

I go here to get coffee usually before work as it is the closet one to our house. Every time I go the women have their long hair hanging down and not pulled back and I've always questioned how that is in line with food handling standards. Today my husband brings me home a coffee and after a few sips I look over to find a big long hair draped along the inside of the coffee cup sooooo gross. After coming on here to leave my review I see that TWO months ago someone else left one saying they found hair in their coffee also.

Cool logo.

The place was clean. First time here and just wanted coffee with cream. The person at the counter said "what? I don't think we have that". Handed me a brochure with all their alternate milks, almond, oat and the like. All I wanted was a splash of cream, nope. What is happening with this world when a barista at a coffee shop doesn't know that cream is. They do have a cool logo though.

$12.00 for a glass of MILK what a joke... this is ADD A SHOT of espresso too.... YIKES

Music way too annoying and loud to work from. Friendly staff and good drinks otherwise but I wouldn't stay long and work.

The iced Americano was as to be expected. Love that they have vegan banana bread! Went through drive through/haven't seen inside.

Parking was easy with both street and garage options available, which is always a plus. The space offers both indoor seating and a dog-friendly patio, giving it a relaxed and welcoming vibe. We ordered the Strawberry Latte and a vanilla cappuccino. Unfortunately, the Strawberry Latte was a bit disappointing since it lacked much strawberry flavor and isn't something we'd order again. The vanilla cappuccino, however, was excellent -- rich, flavorful, and served piping hot, which I personally loved. Even though one drink missed the mark, the atmosphere and the cappuccino made it worth the visit. Definitely a spot worth stopping into and trying for yourself.

The kitchen is in the middle of the shop, and with 6+ employees working there, it created a lot of noise. The matcha was okay, but pricey at $9. I also ordered the banana bread and was surprised there wasn't a banana nut option, especially for a bakery. Overall, the food and drinks were ok, but the noise level makes it unlikely I'll return when I need a place to study or have a conversation.

You walk up and order, get a number, grab a table, and they bring you everything. The coffee drinks are amazing. The lavender honey latte, the cookie butter cold brew, and the red velvet latte are downright addicting. The veggie wrap is awesome, as are the scones with brie. The butternut squash omelet is also a favorite. I don't know if they make their sourdough bread there, but I've never had better. We grabbed some pastries to go this time as well, so I can't wait to try them. It gets busy but they really hustle to keep everyone happy.

I would definitely give this place 5 stars for ambience. It totally reminds me of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants. The attention to detail was on point. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and asked if the matcha was gluten free and the server seemed a little annoyed and handed me the bag of matcha. I could not tell from the bag if it was or not but I ordered it anyways. I was really hungry but didn't want a salad at 8am. My latte came out in a paper cup and tasted ok. I wanted to love this place but it wasn't for me but definitely would be great for gluten patrons and for the atmosphere.

It is futuristic without being cold, elegant without trying too hard. Of every LUX I have visited, this one feels the most like a hidden gem. The staff welcome you with a kindness that cannot be designed into a building. It lives in the way they remember your order, answer questions with patience, and make space for everyone at the table. As someone who is gluten and dairy free, that kind of thoughtfulness never goes unnoticed. Different milk options and a willingness to accommodate make this little café feel even more like home. The soundtrack deserves its own applause. Walking in to hear Studio Ghibli melodies drifting through the room made the whole experience feel cinematic, as if a gentle breeze from another world had slipped through the front door. My lavender latte was delicate and comforting, floral without losing the warmth of coffee. The matcha with peach syrup was equally memorable--a drink that somehow tasted like spring finding its way into a cup. My mom enjoyed her Americano and pastry, proof that sometimes the classics are all you need when they are done with care. The art covering the walls, the copper glow of the hanging lights, the soft pink chairs, and the gentle hum of conversation create an atmosphere that asks nothing from you except to slow down. Bring a book. Put on your headphones. Sit with someone you love. Or simply sit with yourself. In a world always asking us to hurry, LUX Max Annex is a quiet rebellion. A cozy escape tucked inside the bustle of Scottsdale, where beautiful drinks, welcoming hearts, and thoughtful details remind you that sweetness still exists in ordinary days. Some places serve coffee. This one serves a little more hope with the foam.
