This was my first visit to this location as I was looking for a quick pick me up before dinner. I wanted to try a drink that I have not tried before and Mackenzie went above and beyond and made a few suggestions. She was very cheerful and professional. I also got a hot tea afterwards and she was very thoughtful to ask if I wanted honey in my tea. Kudos to Mackenzie, I had a great experience during my visit!

My husband and I stopped by on Sunday, 2/5/2023 right before 3:00 PM for an afternoon pick me up and also because quite a few Starbucks in the area were closed earlier on Sunday. The store was rather empty and there were a couple tables that people were using to study. There is a standard long table right in front of the counter with wireless chargers. I had placed a mobile order before and by the time we headed to the store, it was ready for pickup. I had gotten a slightly more complicated order since I was redeeming my bday drink :) I got the following: Trenta Strawberry Acid Refresher Light ice, strawberry puree, add peach juice, 2 scoops mango dragon fruit, blended. -pretty good, I've never tried this before and usually got coffee drinks. My husband said it kind of tasted like a sweet fruity starburst. If you get this, get it with more ice and water cus it was kinda thicc lol. Customer service: Good, I didn't interact with them too much. Just went in to ask for my order and they happily handed it over haha. All in all, I'd come back if I was in that area!

It's hard to write a review for Starbucks as they are those who love Starbucks and those who don't. I like Starbucks for their convenience, choices and quick service. I stopped by this Starbucks on the corner of Lake Ave and California Blvd last weekend. I got a hot latte ($4.95). The coffee was made fast and tasted good. They still had their holiday menu displayed as well as some holiday merchandise. The only thing I didn't like and took a star off is cleanliness. Tables were not clean and there were a lot of crumbs on the floor. It only takes a minute to wipe down tables and sweep the floor. Cleanliness goes a long way...

The store is organized & clean. The merchandise display was very well kept up. My cashier & barista Breanna was very accommodating & took my order right away. Drink received within 5 mins. The staff & clientele are mellow; nice quiet atmosphere for @4ish on a Tuesday afternoon. Nice

Way to surprise and delight. This may be the cleanest, friendliest Starbucks I have been to in Southern California. That says a lot. Great staff and a free sample of some type of coffee pecan goodness. My day is off to a good start. Thank you. PS, I should have brought my go cup and Starbucks may want to ditch the plastic spoons for compostable spoons. We can all improve.

This is a great Starbucks, it is super well maintained and very clean. Their restrooms are super clean as well and they have an efficient and sleek design for such a small sized store. The staff are polite and respectful, and the lines are never crowded. The baristas are very fast at taking and making your order, and they are very efficient. This store is well staffed as well and they are very eager to add or change ingredients if you need it (eg whipped cream, oat milk etc) Their coffee is really good, like all Starbucks coffee is. You can never really go wrong with an iced cup of coffee on a hot summer day! The parking lot is very spacious and they share the lot with the small plaza of shops.

I always come here and it seems to always happen. Quarter of the cup is foam. Sloppy work.

Rarely people get my name right, but loaf in a plastic bag? That's a first for me...

We arrived just after they opened at 7am and were quite literally the first customers of the day. Thanks for opening your doors to us! This place is such a unique blend: part hip-hop vinyl shop, part artsy cafe, and all-around good vibes. The music selection is top notch, and I loved browsing the cute merch and randomly awesome stationery items. Service was super friendly. My husband had a great conversation with one of the guys behind the counter about the shop's minimalist decor, and we learned Two Kids has been thriving for 10 years. I hadn't been in since right around the pandemic, so it was heartwarming to see they made it through and are still flourishing. The espresso was absolutely luscious, and as a bonus, we got the prettiest latte art with hearts in our drinks, big love for that! Really wish I had more time to hang out on the comfy couches in the middle of the shop and soak in some vinyl tunes. Can't wait to come back and spend a morning here the right way, highly recommended!

However, still a great spot for reading or socializing! I didn't try and pastures but they looked good and the staff was super friendly. Menu is written for people who mfiht not be familiar with coffee shop terms, but still the same items you'd find at any cafe! I'm not typically an Almond milk person, but their house made almond milk is so good! not too early - perfect for an Iced Matcha Latte.

The popcorn chicken, fried tofu, and orange green tea are what I usually order. They make those very consistently so you know what to expect. It gets busy here when school kids are hanging out but if you are outside of those windows, it doesn't take too long. Service ranges from friendly to standard, so no complaints there. The one issue I have with them is they show a loyalty program in terms of entering your phone number -- if you order online as well as the register. But I've never gotten any points. I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. It's not a deal breaker but it's strange.

Right next door, find Uncle Fung Coffee Stall, his daughter's tribute to her Indonesian roots. Here, relax in the retro-modern space and enjoy coffee and tea with an Indonesian flair. The vibe feels timeless. The paint-speckled brick walls and polished tiled floors starkly contrast the heirloom porcelain and framed Indonesian memorabilia. Small square tables and metal chairs are crammed into the narrow space. Close to opening, seats are plentiful, and serene pop blends with the espresso machine; later in the morning, the air is filled with chatter, and the queue stretches to the door. Of the drinks, our go-to has been The Putu, a pandan-forward latte that isn't too sweet. But don't sleep on the Indonesian pastries. I particularly enjoyed the Dadar Gulung, a vibrant green pandan crepe filled with sweet coconut. The scarlet, tortoise-shaped Angku Kueh is stuffed with an addictive mung bean filling. The Talan Ubi sweet potato-and-coconut treats tasted like fall. The Kueh Lupis, a sticky rice triangle with a side of palm sugar syrup, sports a spot-on Q texture, but is one-dimensional in flavor. Service is friendly and efficient. Pastries cost about ~$3-5, while specialty beverages run in the $7-8 range. The location is stellar (just steps away from the Alhambra Farmers Market), and the coffeehouse fare is uniquely crave-worthy. In all, Uncle Fung is a key member of Alhambra's specialty coffee scene, and it cracks my regular rotation.

The coffee shop is very spacious with lots of seating and there's something interesting to look at every corner. There was a short line when we arrived but it moved pretty quickly. The servers were very friendly, warm and efficient at their job. You see a fun selection of Indonesian / Malaysian desserts as you get to the counter, and their drink options are unique and plentiful. We tried two of their artisanal kopi, Kopi Susu and The Putu and tried the Putu Ayu dessert. The drinks were absolutely incredible! The flavour combination and sweetness level of The Putu was perfect. I love that the bold delicious espresso came through, it wasn't overpowered by the sugar, pandan flavour or coconut cream. The drink wasn't too heavy or creamy, it was just so well balanced it left me wanting more! The Putu Ayu however was just alright. The cake flavours were fine, but it was just a bit dry for my taste. Highly recommend coming by to check this place out! Knowing how good their coffee is, I really want to come back for a pour over. Thanks for a great time!
