We went in to this SB to get a cake pop for our daughter. This is the first I have been to this store. I was pleasantly surprised how huge it was inside. They had so many tables for indoor dining, all were super clean and glossy. I have rarely seen such spacious SB store. The merchandise shelf was close the register, but the condiment bar area was close to the entrance door. There was no line front of us. We went straight to the register to order the cake pop. The barista handed us the item on the spot. Super quick service. Other customers were getting their orders pretty quickly too, since there was literally no one waiting in the pick up area. I have been to this location a couple of times and each one has been mated with issues. This time I learned you cannot order an iced drink least you want 90% ice. Nor should you order food unless you want it to somehow be stale. Any money spent here would be wasted. read more

First time visiting this location. Only two baristas behind the counter! They were getting the drinks out quickly but the place was a bit untidy. When you're short staffed, something's got to give! Picked up a sandwich and decided to deconstruct it! The sandwich was, in my opinion, a true embarrassment! Two slices of provolone, on top of each other maybe an ounce of turkey off to one side. I have to update my review. I just witnessed a crazy encounter. Kudos to all the baristas in there especially the female on shift. She quickly de-escalated the situation by asking both persons to leave the store since neither had masks on. I ABSOLUTELY understand why this location only has 3 stars. Denise(may be a manger) is the rudest person I've encountered at Starbucks personally. I walked up to the register slightly unsure about the size of the drink (btwn grande and venti) and she walks away to put a croissant is the pick up area. (no problem) she comes back and I tell her the size and I'm literally in the middle of listing what id like in my latte and she walks away and starts making it. like I'm not sure how you can start something if you haven't heard the full order but umm ok. So upset, I walk away and proceed to try to pick up portion of an order ahead order. while I'm there she asked if I want the drink and I express to her that I don't because I'm not sure how it's correct if she hasnt listened to my full substitution and add ons. I never even paid so I know you don't have everything. she immediately becomes a victim and starts trying to debate. umm maam. the dif between starbies and dunkin is the cu service and customization. you immediately failed. i WILL NEVER darken the doorways of this location EVER again. Aside from the fact that this is one of the dirtiest Starbucks I have ever seen. It's also not that busy... I Work nearby and I go in for water every day. I've never had an issue asking for an ice water as I pick up my coffee. The last few times I've been told to go "order water at the register." Today I was told to order water at the register and there was no one in the store... It feels like people pick and choose what rules they want to follow and when. A customer asking for a cup of water should not be a big deal... considering I can't order it ahead of time, if there was a line I would have to wait to order when I already ordered online?? I have been given plenty of cups of free water here by staff and neverrrr scolded for not ordering it at the register. I love going to this Starbucks because the staff is so friendly and they always greet me every time I come. My coffee is always ready on time. You will always see the baristas smile and they are also helpful. I wanted a different type of coffee so gaby made me a small coffee to try for my birthday and it was good. She was very helpful. I stopped by this afternoon. Ordered a couple of venti traps. I was craving a Mocha cookie crumble all day. They gave me an extra drink. It was a venti Mango dragonfruit drink. I stop at this Starbucks location once in a while because it's near my job. I was extra tired a few days ago so I decided to grab a cup of coffee. I asked for the Veranda Blend but they said it was still brewing so I could either wait or pick something else (there were 2 other choices). I don't like trying new coffee so i decided to wait. Less than 1 minute later, my coffee was ready. I noticed that the 'barista' handed me a small card with my coffee. I read it when I was back in my car-- it was for one free cup of coffee! My review is on the on the pickup option. I easily, placed the order on my phone which is relatively easy. Once in the Starbucks, I was immediately asked if I could be helped. I was then directed to the cashier, told her I was here for pick up and then given my drinks. I would note the location is small and didn't have lots of tables. Filthy, hectic atmosphere. Slow service. Walked in to open stock boxes and chairs being used to hold stock, blocking the walk way. Open gallon of milk was left on the pick up counter being used for both customers' coffee and barista espresso drink use. Talk about service. This place might get busy but for sure, they know how to make a tasty cup of coffee and make excellent conversations. Everyone that works their is nothing but polite and respectful and it is a CLEAN place. The "other" reviewers stating and showing pictures of this place being dirty is taken when there are over like a million people in there. Not a fan of this Starbucks. There is always new staff whenever i go and they are just as bad as the last ones. They always look and act miserable. They let customers wait forever before even addressing them. I can understand if you are making a coffee when I walk in and you can't get to me right away, but at least acknowledge that you know I'm there ESPECIALLY If the place is dead. The last few times the coffee has been horrible. My last caramel macchiato was cold and tasted like brown water. I didn't sip it while I was inside and was pissed that because I couldn't even drink it and had to throw it away. Also, the store is ALWAYS in need of cleaning. This is by far my favorite Starbucks location in Paramus! The manager Kat is a gem and her team follows suit and make sure everyone is welcomed and feel at home. The milk canisters, sugars and toppings bar are always stocked as well as the straws and stirrers. Shout out to Jaelin who always goes out of his way to say Hello and Goodbye. This one is located off route four and early in the morning the team is always on point and ready to get you caffeinated. Service is sometimes inconsistent and not everyone is the most pleasant but the drinks are made correctly. The sometimes ask to heat up your pastries but we're always happy to take them anyway. read more

Store has recently finished its renovation which effectively reverses the flow of traffic, line now starts in the back of the store and moves to the middle. It's a nice upgrade, and in theory improves the layout for longer lines instead of piling at the door. However, many come used to the old layout, and rather than place a sign directing people to the back the baristas grumpily tell patrons to keep forming lines in the back. I think signage would help the legacy queueing issues. Speaking of the baristas, every Starbucks has its range of friendly and not so friendly staffers, and there are some nice ones here. But I get the vibe of people grudgingly working here or something, people won't look at you, don't smile and if you say hello or thank you, it's like talking to a wall. The most memorable interaction was when I brought back a s'mores frappuccino because it tasted strange, and the barista dude told me its vanilla syrup. I told him the graham cracker syrup makes the drink, and he curled his lip, stares me in the eyes like it was some sort of personal challenge and with the sassiest condescending tone said "we use vanilla syrup now. Because corporate." And walks away. I walked out of the store with my mood killed for the rest of day, thanks guy with chip the size of a boulder on your shoulder. Starbuck's official (and much nicer) response was that the drink had seasonally ended. To the Barista: maybe just let me know you can't make them anymore rather than passing off a fake drink and getting indignant when I notice. Granted everyone has bad days but for example the Route 4/Fort Lee (near GWB) store is consistently friendly and you feel very welcome. read more
