The barista/cashier got this taken care of right away. The interior has a specific vibe, and while I may not be their target demographic, I can tell a lot of care went into the design and layout. My only real problem is that there was only 1 person working as both cashier and barista, so our drinks took a bit over 10 minutes to get to us. Hopefully it was just a one off for them.

BUT the past few times that I have visited the Cathedral City location have been a disappointment. I went a few weeks ago and waited for over 8 minutes in the drive through window behind another car with no one to assist us. I had groceries in the car and it was 110+ degrees outside. Finally, I gave up and went inside to see if there was an issue. I was told by the sole worker that the other team members were in a meeting. As a previous bank manager I know how dangerous it is to leave a team member on the floor alone for an extended time. I told the young lady to tell them to come out immediately. She didn't want to, but I insisted. When the others came out, I told them how dangerous it is to leave one person on the floor alone. I understand that a manager may need to speak to a team member, but you ensure that you are in a place that you can monitor the floor. I went back recently and there seemed to be confusion inside regarding the orders. Who ordered what and which order went to which car. I understand that it is hard to get employees in the valley, but I have never experienced this kind of service at the other Koffi locations, which lends me to believe that they are either way under staffed or there is a management issue. Either way please do better for the safety of your staff.

I also didn't realize I was getting a really good breakfast spot with it too. My favorite coffee is the abuelita Blanca. it soooo good. Food wise anything is really good on the menu. My personal favorite is the chorizo con papa. Everybody there is really nice and the service is quick. I feel like when you walk into this place you walk into a family's home. They have music playing, it's decorated really nice, and it just feels comfy.

Afterwards my partner and I discussed worrying the drinks would be sweet but they were PERFECT! Such great balance between the buttercup and the taste of coffee. Prices were more than reasonable!! They serve all drinks with Oatmilk which was perfect for us because it is what we drink daily. Their overall aesthetic was dreamy! I ordered a simple iced Americano with oat milk and what I believe was pistachio syrup (and yes of course-an extra fee for the oat milk as well as the syrup). The drink was so sour/bitter that I could not tolerate the taste and ultimately couldn't drink it. For nearly $8, I expected a much better experience. The customer service was equally disappointing. We arrived about an hour before closing, yet the staff were already cleaning the restroom and gave the impression that they were more focused on closing duties than on providing a welcoming customer experience. Overall, this was a disappointing first visit, especially after looking forward to trying this place for so long. Based on the quality of the drink and the lack of customer service, I won't be returning.
