You pay for convenience. This location was across the street from the hotel that I was staying at for the weekend. Got my drinks and sunscreen from here. It always helps to have a convenient store steps from where you rest. Parking was ample, though I didn't need it. It was clean and prices were reasonable. The owners of this place seem to really care about their store front. It is spotless and well lit. I'll be back again if in the area. read more

Hello. It's me. Apu from Kwik-E-Mart! I was walking about town this morning looking for my usual breakfast squishy. All of a sudden a karmic realignment occurred. Have I incorrectly chosen the wrong week to stop sniffing the contact adhesive!?! I stumbled upon a place, called "The 7-Eleven". I must notify at once Manjula and Sanjay! This great competition could have us soon floating "up the Ganges without a paddle!" They do business with such similarity to my Kwik-E-Mart. For example: 1) Selling the usual items at extraordinarily high prices -- lottos, expired milk, "big gulps" and $12 beers. 2) Continuous use of the novel "Take A Penny, Leave A Penny" tray!! 3) Weapon of self-defense below cash register. But, I am very grateful to the many arms of Vishnu! Our signature products are nowhere to be found here, thereby giving us a small advantage!! No Krusty-O's, Radioactive Man comics, or Duff Beer to be found! And NO Buzz Cola!!! And only the universe knows why they don't carry the highly pleasing to the taste: "Khlav-Khalash-on-a-stick"! Have they not heard our very original late night radio jingle?: "Two near-beef patties, special sauce -- no lettuce/cheese/pickles on a splinter-free stalk... Bada ba ba ba...I'm lovin' it"?!? This 7-Eleven is as good as it gets for a convenance store. It appears small on the outside, but it's bigger on the inside. Sort of like that British Police Call Box. It has everything you want. For me, out of town papers like the NY Post and LA Times. It also has a fairly large selection of drinks and Combos for the road trip back home. What more can you ask? Well, since you asked... they also have a huge selection of tube steaks, and various delicacies from south of the border. Staying across the street at the Riviera, I walked in around 1 AM craving a snack and refreshments. There were some characters around, like walking into the convenience store next to that bar in Star Wars. But I felt safe. Just a tall homeless-looking man with half his back end hanging out of his sweat pants and some wanna-be pimp styling loud mouth upset he couldn't buy alcohol because he couldn't produce a valid ID. The place was very clean and caught a few staff members cleaning the floors. The cashier was very nice and was looking after me by shooing off the regular night lingerers. Location, service, items get this place 4 stars but the local riffraff made it a little uncomfortable. There were plenty of conventionally nice-looking folks passing through too. I was driving, completely lost in Palm Springs. No idea how you can miss a 30 foot tall Marilyn Monroe, but apparently I had done just that. I passed by and did a doubletake of this building. I thought this was almost the coolest thing I'd seen the whole trip. Then I realized it was a 7-11. After getting turned around and lost again, I passed it a second time, I knew it was fate intervening and I had to stop. I pulled in, and snapped a photo. I reached back into my car for a lottery ticket I had forgotten to check earlier. I might be living on easy street and not even know it. I entered, and asked the ladies behind the counter where the lottery ticket machine is. "You know, the one that tells you you're a loser." They laughed at my dumb joke and pointed to the machine. I'd walked right past it as I walked in. I checked my ticket, and it told me I was a loser. Big surprise there. I meandered about the store. It was a neat store. With many of the same things that all of the other 7-11's that I've been to had. But this one had some different items as well. I'm coming to realize that all 7-11's are not all created equal. Each store should be explored and cataloged for scientific knowledge. The store was neat and tidy, and everything in its place. There was no visible trash or grime anywhere. I poked around a bit, and went with the big Sasquatch sized Slim Jim. (The meat stick, not the car-breaking into metal strip) After all the hiking I'd done on top of the mountains, I was kinda hungry. I walked up to the register and paid for my snack, and asked them if they could point me out towards the giant Marilyn Monroe. They laughed and they all pointed in a direction, and gave me some instructions to follow. I thanked them, and walked back out to my car, and resumed the search for giant Marilyn Monroe. Neat architecture, clean and exciting store, with nice ladies behind the counter. What more can you ask for? I'll definitely try to be back on my next trip to Palm Springs. read more

First of all, let me say I am not one to frequent convenience stores. A good friend was in town staying at the Riviera and wanted to run into 7-Eleven to "pick up a few things". I leave my food shopping to Gelsons, Whole Foods, Jensens and the like. I don't have a lot of experience with convenience stores, but I do have some baseline expectations: 1. Cleanliness. This place was pretty grimy. There was litter all over the coffee area and overall the store looked pretty dirty. 2. No Public Urination. As we were leaving we were met with a man urinating in the parking lot. This is just plain gross. Even after 27 years of marriage, I still demand that Hubby close the door when relieving himself. Do yourself a favor. Ralph's is just a few miles away. Take the extra time and shop there. You'll save a few bucks and won't be startled by Peter's peter. read more

I live, seasonally, right near here, and remember the controversy when this 7-11 was proposed, and eventually built. I'm glad it's here. Very clean and well-organised. Great, fresh quality coffee without the Starbucks prices. Nice for the many hotel guests, near here, to get snacks,and sundries without the crazy in-room/room service prices. I wish more of the 7-11s, especially up in metro-LA, looked like, and were run like this location. read more

I love this 7-11. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and help customers quickly and efficiently. The store is clean, organized and always well stocked with merchandise. It's very rare for them to be out of something. Hot foods and coffee are always fresh and the owner is there frequently working side by side with the crew. There is pride taken in the upkeep of this store and it shows. Of course, parking is sometimes a challenge but that's always the case for a great place that's frequented by visitors. Overall, this is the best 7-11 I've been to and it deserves all 5 stars. read more

An excellent Seven Eleven! This one is particularly nice and stocked because of its high volume. It is right across the street from the Riviera Hotel and close to other hotels. They have no gasoline at this one. Good selection of wine, liquor and prepared foods. Parking is generous. read more

I love this place. The crew here is always friendly. They recognize and say hello to me every time I go in. If you're addicted to the slurpie try the large refill cup. It's usually $1 plus tax. They have an ATM that's only been out of service once when I needed one. Also download the app because every seventh drink (fountain, slurpies and coffee drinks) is free plus they have give always through the app. They don't come any better than this one. read more

It appears that this 7/11 has forgotten about customer service. I have been going here every morning for years for my coffee. They are often out of the exclusive blend (most popular) coffee and I have to wait. However, I understand that mornings are busy and the morning staff is friendly. This past week they have been out of the creamer that is in the machine. This happens often as well. Previously, the morning staff has opened up a regular creamer from the cooler and placed it out on the counter to accommodate the customers (this was actually suggested by staff at one point). However, tonight when I was in for some evening coffee I had an unfortunate experience that no customer should ever have. I got coffee. Again the creamer was out. I used the creamer from the cooler and went to the register. When I went to check out, I was treated extremely rudely by the staff. Told I had to pay for the creamer. Told that I "always do this even when the creamer is not out." This was told to me in front of other customers and in a very rude and demeaning manner. As a result of this behavior, I will never, ever patronize this 7/11 ever again. Management needs to restock shelves and ensure that staff makes coffee regularly. Management should accommodate customers in the advent of their inability to stock the shelves with their regular products. And this evening staff should learn the first rule in business. It's about customer service, including not being rude, demeaning or inappropriate to customers. They have lost a good customer for life. read more
