This Starbucks is a total standout. it's huge and right in the middle of Palm Springs down town area on one of the main streets, so it gets a big cross-section of the city, always buzzing with energy. The staff are lightning fast, and you can even order ahead, which is a lifesaver when it's busy. I grabbed an iced coffee, and it was good, just the right pick-me-up. The whole space looks really nice, modern, and clean, and even the restroom was clean though it is a bit busy since it's on a major thoroughfare, so a lot of people swing by just to use the bathroom. Overall, it's a great addition to this area, reliable, friendly staff, and just a solid Starbucks when you need a quick caffeine fix. I'd definitely stop by again! read more

Why is it that everywhere you go you alway end up at a Starbucks. Even though there's loads of amazing coffee places, Starbucks is a must. Especially this one, right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. A beautiful outdoor seating area but if you walk out, you have more seating that's along the courtyard. Shops, restaurants and hotels all seconds away. Inside is pretty big itself. A couple of large communal tables for sharing and small group tables. Just be warned that it's alway busy at this location. Service is alway great each and every time I've visited . Bathroom and wash area is alway pretty clean. FYI, people do come in often daily for the restrooms so just a heads up. Regardless if you're sitting inside or outside, it's a nice little break. So many people with their fur babies in and out. It's also a great place for people watching. We've literally sat for an hour once just people watching. It's Palm Springs, you come to lounge and relax. No plans but go with the flow. Solid stop in downtown Palm Springs I was excited to visit this Starbucks on Palm Canyon Drive because I thought it was a Starbucks Reserve, but once I arrived I was told it's now a regular Starbucks, which was definitely a bit disappointing. That said, I was already there and had a free coffee to use, so I decided to take advantage. I ordered the limited Valentine's Venti White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew, and honestly it was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The space itself is very spacious, modern, and mostly empty, and you can absolutely tell it used to be a Reserve at some point. Inside felt open and comfortable, and the outdoor seating area is really nice as well. While sitting outside, there were some... interesting people out and about nearby, which made for an entertaining and memorable experience to say the least. I've been coming to this Starbucks in Palm Springs for a while, and ever since it changed from a Starbucks Reserve location to a regular Starbucks, it just hasn't been the same. This is the Starbucks Reserve coffee shop located in downtown Palm Springs. I could be wrong but I thought they used to advertise it more that this was the reserve location but aside from an easily missed "R" outside on the signage, it was less obvious to me then it had been in recent years. This is the meca of Starbucks as it's truly huge and unique looking inside: You could fit 50-70 people in this Starbucks it's definitely gigantic and the coffee bar area is stunning. Wraps around into a large L shape they easily have to have at least 5 people working this location to keep it afloat I'd imagine. I got a kick out of the fact that they have exclusive drinks here and was eager to try the Palm Springs Breeze which essentially was a creamy version of their pineapple refresher. It was tasty and all of the other unique drinks that were coming out did look heavenly. The concept is cool and I definitely dig that it feels like a treat to stop here. The reason for the docked star are the crowds as it's just too big for me to feel comfortable frequenting here. There were twenty people hovering around waiting for drinks and the lines to order were deep. However, I was beyond impressed by how fast they moved here! The crowds thankfully didn't equal a huge wait time so that's a bonus, I just don't love a coffee shop that feels like a subway station. Also this makes me laugh as I type this but the writing on the board is itty bitty. I felt blind! I seriously couldn't read the majority of the drinks from the back of the line. Why did they write the exclusive drinks in such a tiny font?! Haha. I promise I am not that blind but I literally had to walk up to the front of the register (looking like I was cutting people off) which was the only way I could kind of see the menu. I didn't want to risk waiting until it was my turn to order as I would be holding up the line but I seriously don't know how the majority of people could truly read the menu board. My son needed to use the restroom, so we asked for the code. There was a line, and we politely requested it. Instead of a simple response, an employee--sporting some questionable makeup--dismissively told us they couldn't help since we weren't customers. With no other choice, we just jumped in line and had him go anyway. For a business that has thousands of people in line for a restroom, a little courtesy would go a long way. Customer service shouldn't come with an attitude, and gatekeeping a restroom doesn't make sense in an establishment like this. Disappointing. read more

I think ever trip I've been to in Palm Springs, I end up going to this Starbucks location which is right in the mix of the business of Palm Canyon Dr. I ended picking up some Reserve Coffee beans & Caramel Brulée Latte. I believe this is one of the winter Starbucks drinks which is not new and I do believe I've had it before. I'll mention like I often do that I like strong dark roast coffees and this is not really that. Not a bad flavor though, for sure sweet. I'd just think it was a caramel vanilla latte if I was given it. I wanted to again get the Iced Hazelnut Bianco Latte which they only carry at reserve locations and is probably one of the best (or best?) lattes at Starbucks. But I sadly did not see it on the menu and when I asked an employee he mentioned rumors that they are getting rid of all the reserve items, and this Starbucks will soon be converting into a regular Starbucks. Sad day.... Since it's Starbucks and it's located in the middle of everything, be prepared for it to be busy here. But hey at least you'll be walking distance from the photo op at the ever-so-popular heart PS sign. Oh and don't worry if you can't find really close street parking. I just gulped the signature Palm Springs Experience drink. It is so tasty and refreshing! It is an ice blended tea with lemonade, dragon fruit, plus another flavor(I believe it was guava). Anyway, I wish every location served it. I drank it so quickly that I forgot to take a photo of it. The large interior space is awesome, as this is a Reserve location with a fun atmosphere. We ordered: - Starbucks Cold Brew Malt (*favorite) - Tropic Like It's Hot - Iced Hazelnut Bianco Latte - Golden Ice Every drink that we tasted was delicious and a step above your regular Starbucks beverage. The Cold Brew Malt was a standout for us though - it is basically an elevated espresso milkshake with the perfect amount of creaminess. This was the only drink we just had to order twice because it was too good to not sample again. Just a note that this Palm Springs location didn't have the Cascara drink that's on the menu-I was disappointed, as that is one of my favorite Starbucks syrups and I was really looking forward to trying it out.
