Yelp desert edition: I needed good coffee on my vacation but I found GREAT coffee! The baristas are friendly and helpful. The interior is cute, cozy and tasty baked items on display. I ordered the Cloud 9 iced latte with extra shots, oatmilk. It was superb. Later i ordered an iced lavender matcha with a lavender foam top. Probably one of the top five matcha drinks I've ever had in my life. A must try in hot springs.
Right when I opened the door I was greeted. I was able to order right away, I had checked the menu before getting there so I knew what I wanted. I was able to replace whip cream with cold foam on my caramel tres leches coffee. I also got two iced matchas, it was nice they let me know theirs was not sweetened but I could add sweetener if I wanted. My coffee was a little too sweet for my taste but I should have known when I ordered what I got! Excited to try other flavors when I go back. Loved supporting a local shop!
Cute coffee shop... but also pretty sure this is the only local coffee shop (besides 1 Starbucks) so because of the limited coffee shops in this town this one is PACKED. There was a line out the door which I knew it was going to be good! Staff is great and they also have online ordering too, but when you go to pick up your coffee you have to squeeze between & through all the people in line to get your online order. They should open a second location! It's much needed.
Glad I stopped by this place in Desert Hot Springs. It's a small location with a spacious parking lot, and incredibly friendly service. I tried their lavender matcha which was the right green color and actually tasted of matcha without being too sweet. I also tried one of their seasonal lattes that was too sweet for my personal taste, but well crafted and balanced for someone with a sweet tooth.
Came here everyday when I was on my trip in Joshua Tree because of how great it was. Creamy sweet coffee and friendly staff. The environment is also unique and cozy.
We stumbled upon this adorable mom-and-pop coffee spot and immediately knew we made the right decision when we saw the parking lot already half full. That's basically the universal sign for "good things (and strong coffee) happen here." Of course, we rolled in deep--13 people deep--and instantly took over the waiting area like a caffeine-hungry flash mob. I half expected them to panic or pretend they were suddenly "out of coffee," but nope. The cashier/barista handled it like an absolute pro--friendly, efficient, and somehow still smiling while staring down our chaotic group order. Despite us being that group, the drinks came out impressively fast. No mix-ups, no drama, just a steady flow of beautifully made coffee keeping the peace. I ordered the Spanish latte, and let me tell you--it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second before I even finished the first. Smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. Honestly, if I had less self-control (and fewer social norms to follow), I would've ordered three and just set up camp. The pastries also deserve a shoutout--fresh, tempting, and basically daring you to ruin your "I'll just have coffee" plan. Overall, this place nails that cozy, neighborhood vibe where everything feels a little more personal and a lot more delicious. Great coffee, great service, and a staff that can handle a small army walking through the door. Will absolutely be back... maybe with a slightly smaller group. Maybe
Staff is super friendly and even tho it was a bit busy when I walked in they were quick. I was disappointed in the coffee. It tasted more of milk with a toffee sweetener but I could not taste the coffee. Maybe it was the drink I got but I wasn't impressed with it. I did like the over all vibe and thought that the staff was great. I'll try something different the next time I am in town.
Did not take any pictures inside but it is pretty small. Has 3/4 tables to sit down but more of a grab and go coffee shop! They added a special menu with different flavor lattes and have some interesting flavors! I got the Mexican latte and it tasted like cinnamon toast crunch cereal haha. I love the coffee here but if you are not a local the price is around $10 for a latte :///
This was one of the worst coffees I've had in a while. It tasted burnt, bitter, and stale--like the beans were over-roasted or the pot hadn't been cleaned. I won't be ordering it again. Very disappointed. I did like their stickers and staff were nice.
Wonderful locally owned business! They have an extensive menu, there is something for everyone! We enjoyed both their Matcha as well as their coffee. Service was very friendly and welcoming, they have a bit of indoor seating and plenty of easy parking. I always love supporting local businesses as hard-working as these, great option if you're looking for a pick me up in the area!

Espresso self is located in Desert Hot Springs. I seen a sign while driving and thought to stop by before arriving at my final destination. I ordered the Lavender Matcha with lavender, lavender foam, and coconut milk. They have different packaged snacks available; I grabbed a vegan snack by Greyson bakery (sold in store) and It was delicious. Service was wonderful! It was not long before my order was brought out to me. The beverage itself looked delicious--it was green at the bottom from the matcha and purple on top from the lavender. I enjoyed it as it was not too sweet. There are a few tables and chairs inside but keep in mind it is a small space. Everything to tidy and in place. Next time I have my eyes on one of the refreshers and or the chai latte. Tip: Complementary parking lot and street parking "Love what you see in the mirror and life will change." read more

First of all, I have never seen a coffee this big!!! I got the caramel tres leches and my wife got the maple butter pecan. Both were delicious but they were huge!! We got large for both. Customer service was great. We ordered our drinks online and they were ready for us. Place is clean and tidy. Would definitely come back anytime we come back to Palms springs. read more

Coffee was SO GOOD. I am a bit of a coffee addict, roast my own, have a WAY TOO expensive machine at home, and the coffee rivals my own. 1000% percent better than any large chains that are coffee "experts". The staff was so nice, met the owner and she could not be anymore sweet and attentive. Place is super cute, seating is limited because the place small. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the area, whether locals or just passing by. read more
Amazing coffee! We ordered six different drinks since we are from out of town and every single one was better than the next. They were busy but quick! I wish they had a drive thru but I didn't mind walking in! They had plenty of parking and very kind and patient service despite how busy they were. Friendly and cozy spot for your coffee caffeine needs in the Desert Hot Springs area. Their latte was perfectly sweetened. Americano was flavorful. A treat to have nearby if you're chilling around the spas in town. They have a cash discount too :) read more
This little gem was recommended by coworkers and I wasn't disappointed! To start off, customer service is excellent. Staff are cheerful and extremely helpful for those of us that are indecisive at times. I of particularly appreciated the variety of sugar free options and milks. Tried this shop for the 2nd time. They make amazing lattes! They have a nice selection of sizes to choose from & even offer fresh pastries. I grabbed the most amazing loaf of fresh locally made sourdough bread on my first visit & it was so tasty! This is definitely my new favorite coffee shop when I come into Desert Hot Springs read more

The most welcoming coffee shop in DHS. The staff are always smiling and ready to take your order. Small establishment very modern has various snacks and treats to accompany your coffee. Beats sitting in Starbucks line that's for sure. TRY THIS ONE If you haven't your cheating yourself go on in and customize your drink and Espresso Self. read more

My wife introduced me to this spot and I'm so glad she did! I've been searching for a coffee place that could match the flavor and vibe of Avenue back in Washington, and this is the first one that truly delivered. The coffee is rich, smooth, and exactly what I've been missing. The staff was incredibly friendly and respectful, which made the experience even better. As a photographer, I just had to take a beautiful picture of the coffee--it looked just as good as it tasted. If you're a coffee addict like me, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend! read more
