That glowing review changed quickly. Today I was first in line at 2:00 p.m., with five people working behind the counter. I ordered a small Strawberry Wave and a PB & Strawberry Toast. The greeting was non-existent, so I left no tip. Fifteen minutes later--still no order. Several customers who came in after me (including one who ordered a medium Strawberry Wave) received their food and left. I asked for a refund. They said they needed to call the manager, who wasn't in the store. I was told it would take five minutes. Five minutes later, they said I could leave and the refund would process--no receipt, no documentation. That wasn't acceptable. I asked for proof of the refund. I was told, "We can't do that." They called the manager again and handed me the phone. I declined--I didn't need a conversation, just my refund. Six minutes later, they needed my cell number to text me a receipt. I finally left at 2:26 p.m. No food. Just a texted refund receipt. This place is now permanently off my list. read more

The rating is purely upon their products. Fresh, healthy and made to order. When we visited it was moderately busy and the young lady workers were going a great job making the smoothies. If I was the owner of the store I would have to give the young man who supposedly "greets" the customers and takes the orders a major attitude adjustment. No greeting, no asking what products we would like, just silence and a cold, bored stare. He must be costing the business quite a lot of sales. Why not replace him with a self order screen or two? Came to get a refreshing açaí bowl and had to try a smoothie! The Strawberry Wave smoothie was so delicious I high recommend. The flavor of the açaí bowl was good but was disappointed about the consistency of it and was lacking the thickness of what makes an açaí bowl an açaí bowl. Instead it was more liquidy right from the start and that itself made it harder to enjoy. Other than that the staff was nice and the place was welcoming and clean! read more

Who's the Owner(s) at this location?. This place is probably loosing $$. I placed an order for 2 Acai bowls and when I went to pick up my order I received 2 bowls with the consistency of a slushy. When I told the Smoothie Artist about the issue I was given an attitude with a few eye rolls. I called the LA Quinta store where I spoke to an unapologetic Manager or at least that's what I was told. I have never heard of walk in orders being turned away before. Myself and one other customer were the only people in there so it wasn't like they were super busy. What a delicious and refreshing smoothie! I was melting from the dessert heat, and thankfully stumbled upon this smoothie shop. I ordered a strawberry mango smoothie, simple, not very complexed. There was not a long wait, and it was made fairly quickly. The smoothie tasted great! I wish I got a bigger size. It was very sweet and a good ratio between strawberries and mangos. That's right; you're peanut butter 'The Zone' lacks all texture and consistency. The smoothie, if one would even consider it that, could be poured through the worlds finest strainer, and leave no substance behind. Our smoothies were great! My friend ordered two different drinks; a smoothie and a beet juice. And I ordered a juice- I believe it was the energizer or revitalized. I absolutely love their juices. So healthy and tasty! I'm also a big fan of the bowls with all the nuts and protein in there. This was my first visit and it was a great success. Simple, quick, solid operation. I sometimes stop here when I'm on my way to work and need something to help get me through the hot desert summer days. Service is friendly, quick and all the staff appear to execute their duties appropriately. I never have to wait an unreasonable time or receive the incorrect item so I appreciate that. I haven't had any negative experiences here yet, but the reason this isn't a 5 star review is because honestly im not crazy about the taste of most of the drinks I get. I've tried something different on all of my visits I haven't gotten the same thing twice and still can't find the one that stands out for me. No big complaints, just not my favorite for flavor.
