I brought my own cup like I normally do and they knocked ten cents off, which is nice because not all locations do this anymore. But I bring my own cup because of environmental concerns. Claudia took my order and was friendly and helpful. The barista gave me a generous portion with lots of excellent foam so I was a happy drinker. I've been going to Starbucks for years, and unfortunately, my experiences at this particular Ojai location have been consistently disappointing. The customer service here is noticeably different from other Starbucks locations I visit. The employees often do not greet customers when they walk in, and the overall atmosphere feels unwelcoming and unfriendly. The half-and-half is also frequently unavailable at the self-serve area, which is frustrating for customers who expect the basic items to be stocked. One experience in particular really stood out to me. The store is supposed to open at 5:00 AM, and one morning another customer and I were trying to enter because we believed the store was open. The doors would not open, even though we could clearly see employees inside cleaning. The employees could also see us outside struggling with the door and looking confused, but no one came outside to explain what was happening. There was no note on the door indicating that the store was temporarily closed or that there was a delay in opening. Even if there was a legitimate reason they could not open the doors at that moment, it would have taken very little effort for someone to simply come outside and let us know what was going on. Instead, we were left standing outside confused while employees continued working inside. I understand that employees can have difficult mornings and that things don't always go perfectly, but basic communication and courtesy toward customers should still be expected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the customer service and communication at this location. read more

I used to be a daily customer at this Starbucks location, but as of the last 6 months, I have had zero interest in spending my money here. Within the last year, the entire team of staff has changed and the quality of their drinks has gone down significantly, their coffee doesn't even taste like coffee, it tastes like burnt, nasty water, as a matter of fact, its gotten so bad here at this location that I now will take a drive all the way out to Ventura just for my morning coffee, its just not worth the money anymore. Anyways, today I decided to visit this location basically just to "give it another shot", I arrived to the drive through and I ordered my drink, which I asked them to make with oat milk, i immediately noticed that there was no oatmilk in my drink, it wasn't even typed down on the label. I took my drink inside and asked them if they could please remake it with oatmilk, they did, however, I also had ordered pumpkin cold foam on top of this drink which was correct the first time, but after asking them to remake it, they had topped it with orange cream cold foam, so I had to go back inside again, as I was approaching the counter i heard a female employee shout out "OH MY F*UCKING GOD, WHAT NOW?" So I explained that my remade drink had been topped with orange cream cold foam instead of pumpkin and asked them to re make it again, they did but basically I wouldn't be surprised if she spit in it, based on her incredibly angry and negative attitude. I ordered 2 of these drinks which brought my total to $18.90, and now my boyfriend and I are left with a twice re made "coffee" that just tastes like burnt dirty water, that I am skeptical about drinking because of the employees aggression towards me. I wanted to go in and just ask for a full refund but I was already feeling so unwelcome and didnt want to be yelled at anymore by this employee. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS LOCATION!!! One of the employees in the Drive-thru shouldn't work with the public. When they couldn't hear my order at the speaker over my engine, I pulled forward to the window to better assist. I was met with a very nasty attitude and before I could say anything, the employee told me next time I would have to park and come inside and that it was Starbucks POLICY to not to take an order at the window. In the past, OTHER stores would just ask me to please pull forward so they can help. The employee at the window disappeared for quite a while only to return with the wrong order, showed me the tip button to pay and turned their back on me. Classy ;-) I parked my car, walked inside and nicely asked for my order to be made again. The employee at the counter looked at the sticker and confirmed it was not made correctly. Coincidence.....I think not. I guess the employee in the window not only has an ATTITUDE problem but a COMPREHENSION problem as well. This Starbucks has the sweetest employees who always make me feel so welcome. They remember my name, which in hindsight, might be apart of their job I can't remember. However this Starbucks is always spotless, they have AMAZING costumer service, they make great conversation, overall just the most thoughtful people ever! They are also great problem solvers and always have a solution too. I've been coming here since the location was switched over from the plaza, this place is just so amazing. This Starbucks is clean, had all tumblers in stock, are able to order quickly, and park at a pick up parking. Only odd thing was that the drive through was closed off with chairs. Parking is a bit small so be careful if you pull in and there is no more parking, pulling out will be a bit of a feat. read more

She was so confused that I had to repeat the one order three times and it still was wrong because I ended up with a Grande size. Coffee is great and on par with other locations. Current management regularly closes the lobby outside of posted hours and foc a you to pick up orders through the drive thru. In addition the posted lobby hours do not reflect lobby closures in the app. Better communication by leadership would raise this rating by two stars. Service and recognition of a 24 minute drive thru wait would have given another star for a full five star rating. I will avoid this location and pursue non drive thru locations in the future. read more

They open nice and early- 5am which is great for me. They have a drive thru so you can go on your robe but there is plenty of parking if you prefer to go in.
