Tasty frozen yogurt flavors. Check! Great topping. Check! Fresh fruit. Check! Menchie's is always such a tasty treat! :) Today was a hot day here in Ventura so the best way to cool down was to come get some frozen yogurt!! The dole whip flavor was perfectly refreshing with some fruit toppings. They have many different types of toppings depending on what you want to add to your yogurt. You can also choose from different type of yogurt flavors or mix two flavors together. They rotate their flavors so you have the opportunity to try many different types. The lady at the register is always polite and helpful and so is the other gentleman there helping her. I saw the man constantly cleaning and he even gave me kids chalk to write on the board. The place is quiet and relaxing. This is our favorite frozen location, so we will continue coming here.

GETTING HERE: This Menchie's is on Victoria and Telegraph, in the CVS and Vons shopping center in Ventura. REVIEW: I mean, meh. It's OK. For one, I am glad they have made it through the other side of c 0 v 1 d. That's a win and even for that reason alone, I will seek out this froyo to help support this small/local biz. Sadly, they don't give out sample cups anymore, but one can infer, right? Small layout inside, a few white tables which kind of spruces up the area, keeps it well-lit. At one point in time, I recall they did have merch for sale. I think there still might be a few random items on the wall. It's a very basic froyo shop, probably one of the very few left in the county. :( Customer service is minimal. I believe the last few times I went in I was helped by the owner. There was a small language barrier, but it didn't deter my order or payment. In this type of business I don't think the customer requires much service other than that. I would recommend. Let's do what we can to help keep small/local businesses running. Plus, who doesn't love froyo? :)

I was in Ventura and looking for some frozen yogurt and this is what showed up as one of the popular search results. I've been to this plaza many times for Starbucks and the dippin dots when it was still there on the other side of the plaza. This is like any other Menchie's location but everything was very streamlined. I first walked in towards the back and chose a cup. There were 2 different sized. They had the standard cup and also a larger one that was available. What was good was that they're socially distancing people and there was a family ahead of me so the worker told me to wait until the guest was past a certain machine to go over to that side. I was very glad that they had Dole Whip up here and they also had the original tart flavor. Those are the ones I went with and I also got a lot of different fruits another toppings to go with my froyo. At the end I went to the register that was right in the middle of the space and I was able to pay very quickly and out of the store I went. It was very fast and efficient There's a bunch of parking here in the plaza because there's a lot of different shops and stores here.

Great spot for froyo in Ventura! Pineapple Dole whip flavor is great and their toppings are always fresh and clean. Their service is always friendly and my kids and my wife love it there, so I have no complains. I liked them, but I'm still partial to Yogurtland, because they have mochi and lychees as part of their selection and because I get a free scoop for my birthday month, but still since we don't have another froyo spot, I like them.

Terrible Frozen yogurt, watery like pee. Tastes like spoiled milk and sugar. Waste of money

We come here often. Its always clean and the owner and her family are extremely nice. Menchies has a reward system, so its nice when we find out that we reached our $5 credit. The owner is always excited about her new flavors, and she mentioned many people call in to request certain flavors and if she has it, she is willing to have it ready when they arrive. As a busy parent, I like to buy my little one some fro-yo, before we go to the vons nearby. It keeps our little one quite for a few shopping aisles.

Dear Hubby and I were at Ventura Harbor Village last Sunday to get a break from the inland heat,…read moreand just to hang out for a while. After a late lunch / early dinner I was in the mood for something sweet. Specifically, I was craving a root beer float. We wandered over to Coastal Cone to see if they could help with that desire. Indeed, yes they could. In the summertime, they are busier than ever, especially on a weekend afternoon. They have a newer system for serving customers, which works pretty well, if the customer pay attention to it. They have you queue up at the door closest to the water. There, a team member directs you or your group to one of three stations inside. Each area has all of the services that you might need, whether it's just getting a cup or cone of ice cream, or ordering fancier dishes like sundaes and much more. I noticed a few reviewers saying that the ice cream is pretty basic. That might or might not be true, but what I see them emphasizing now is that they can make you specialty creations above and beyond what many ice cream shops feature. They bake their waffle cones on premises - and you can enjoy the sweet scent of the results when they come out of the oven. Heavenly! I can't enjoy cow's milk dairy any more, so vegan frozen treats are my jam. They were able to offer me a scooped vegan vanilla ice cream in a cup, with a full bottle of root beer to float away on. It was just what I wanted! A slightly larger cup would have made the experience even better / easier to eat & sip, but it worked out okay. One serving was plenty for DH and I to share. The best part was refilling the cup as we drank the root beer, then every time we added more liquid, the ice cream would foam up. That magical foamy texture is such a taste treat. It was $10, which initially seemed high, but given how long it lasted, and how two of us got to share it, it was a great value. They sure had a lot of people employed behind the counter. Like a lot. The line seemed to move pretty quickly as a result of all that staffing. One last note of pickiness. Perhaps in the off-season the owners might consider doing some deep cleaning and interior refreshing. The floors are particularly beat up and don't have that clean, fresh ice cream parlor look that might be expected. DH and I sat off to the side on the long built-in bench inside the busy shop. It has some shelf space at the back/sides, and those surfaces look like they hadn't been cleaned well in a long time. Just sayin'. While I enjoyed our root beer float, I had time to notice some of the details of the place, and those are my observations.

The building is an original, 60s beach modern. It's a bit rundown, but it's clean and the staff is friendly, with plenty of parking and seating. Large menu of various burger shack food items: burgers, hot dogs, tacos, (fried!) burritos, chicken, fries, rings and of course, their famous soft serve! The soft serve is the thickest and creamiest, and comes in all shapes including cones, dips, sundaes, malts, blizzards and our favorite, their shakes. I have not had a better strawberry shake anyplace, including expensive ice cream shops. The crinkle fries are always hot and crispy and the food items are what you would expect - fast food but a notch up from the major chains. It's cash only and like most places, prices have increased over the last few years, but we will continue to return whenever we are in the area or passing through.

This is not a taqueria. Lastly for 5 dollars I can buy a pint of ice cream ffs. What a dissapointment. Not worth coming here to damage you car's alignment. If youre gonna spend money for ice cream, go to dairy queen or baskin robins. The places best days are behind it.

They seemed more interested in closing than helping customers, and the service reflected that. We ordered two twist cones with sprinkles, and each cone got a single spoonful of sprinkles. At the Camarillo location, the tops are always covered, so this felt cheap and intentional rather than an honest mistake. If serving customers 30 minutes before closing is a problem, the posted hours should reflect that. Between the unfriendly service and the noticeably skimpy portions, this location doesn't live up to the Mister Softee name. We won't be back!

They also sell original merchandise in the store, which was really fun. It's a fun place for both children and adults. There isn't much parking space in downtown Camarillo, but I was able to find street parking this time.
