She was very rude to people attempting to get yogurt telling everyone to stop that hadn't set up yet. We left and went somewhere else. The dole whip flavor was perfectly refreshing with some fruit toppings. They have many different types of toppings depending on what you want to add to your yogurt. You can also choose from different type of yogurt flavors or mix two flavors together. They rotate their flavors so you have the opportunity to try many different types. The lady at the register is always polite and helpful and so is the other gentleman there helping her. I saw the man constantly cleaning and he even gave me kids chalk to write on the board. The place is quiet and relaxing. This is our favorite frozen location, so we will continue coming here. read more

GETTING HERE: This Menchie's is on Victoria and Telegraph, in the CVS and Vons shopping center in Ventura. REVIEW: I mean, meh. It's OK. For one, I am glad they have made it through the other side of c 0 v 1 d. That's a win and even for that reason alone, I will seek out this froyo to help support this small/local biz. Sadly, they don't give out sample cups anymore, but one can infer, right? Small layout inside, a few white tables which kind of spruces up the area, keeps it well-lit. At one point in time, I recall they did have merch for sale. I think there still might be a few random items on the wall. It's a very basic froyo shop, probably one of the very few left in the county. :( Customer service is minimal. I believe the last few times I went in I was helped by the owner. There was a small language barrier, but it didn't deter my order or payment. In this type of business I don't think the customer requires much service other than that. I would recommend. Let's do what we can to help keep small/local businesses running. Plus, who doesn't love froyo? :) read more

We have gone here for a long time. I will drive from Ojai to this location often with my kids. The recent experience has stopped that forever. I will say their Frozen Yogurt is awesome and the place is super clean. However the service is horrible. We went in there and got our usuals and went to pay for two small 18 total ozs of yogurt at .70 per oz. Equals roughly $12.00. The owner I believe as working and he said "$26.00" I was like wait huh? So I looked up to see if the prices had gone up and quickly saw it says .70 per oz. I'm not a mathematician but I know it's not that much. I told him and he said "yes that is the price" .. I paid for it and walked away still very confused. So I turned back and said "wait 18 oz times .70 is like $12. Not $26. He shows me the computer screen and said yeah I charged you only $12. I was even more confused as I know what I swiped my card for. So.. I left outside to eat my ice cream. I kept refreshing my menchies app to see what he charged me and sure enough he charged me $26!!! I went back in and he had an attitude and said "what do you want a refund of the difference?" I told him yes! He blamed the POS system. I complained to corporate which got me no where but they would tell the owner. Be very careful for this tactic. Who knows how many people this "accident" has happened to. The fro yo is very good and mostly kosher. It's clean and the sides seem fresh. The only weird thing at this location is that the people working stay in the back right up until you pay, then go back to the back after paying. It feels odd to be in the shop without any staff visible. read more

Great spot for froyo in Ventura! Pineapple Dole whip flavor is great and their toppings are always fresh and clean. Their service is always friendly and my kids and my wife love it there, so I have no complains. I was in Ventura and looking for some frozen yogurt and this is what showed up as one of the popular search results. I've been to this plaza many times for Starbucks and the dippin dots when it was still there on the other side of the plaza. This is like any other Menchie's location but everything was very streamlined. I first walked in towards the back and chose a cup. There were 2 different sized. They had the standard cup and also a larger one that was available. What was good was that they're socially distancing people and there was a family ahead of me so the worker told me to wait until the guest was past a certain machine to go over to that side. I was very glad that they had Dole Whip up here and they also had the original tart flavor. Those are the ones I went with and I also got a lot of different fruits another toppings to go with my froyo. At the end I went to the register that was right in the middle of the space and I was able to pay very quickly and out of the store I went. It was very fast and efficient There's a bunch of parking here in the plaza because there's a lot of different shops and stores here. read more

We come here often. Its always clean and the owner and her family are extremely nice. Menchies has a reward system, so its nice when we find out that we reached our $5 credit. The owner is always excited about her new flavors, and she mentioned many people call in to request certain flavors and if she has it, she is willing to have it ready when they arrive. Overpricing and misleading weight. I decided to buy yogurt in a 40 oz giant bowl. When I took the bowl to the scale, it weighed 37 ounces and I ended up paying $26.26. I was surprised. It did not make sense because if we multiply 37 ounces by $0.61 per ounce plus taxes is 22.57 +2.03= $24.60. I spoke with the store cashier who said that he needs to add 1 ounce more for the bowl's weight itself. It does not make sense to add one ounce more when the bowl's weight was already included in the original weight of 37 ounces. I think Menchies should change their policy in relation to their price per ounce and also train the cashier to be more friendly to their customers and to provide business cards with the owner's name and number to complain. I did not feel welcomed moreover when he mentioned when I asked him about the price issue. He unnecessarily mentioned that he needed to clean a little yogurt left on the table and floor by my daughter. Incredible! He never provided me the business card and manager's name. Owner/lady was so rude. When first arriving NO ONE was there to greet us. We we there for a good two minutes waiting to be helped out, we were confused and didn't know what to do. Finally, she came out with a phone in her hand like she had been talking to someone or left them on hold. Woah, this place is a trip. We went there for the first time today. The windows are filthy, the yogurt comes out half melted and apparently the "Wi-Fi was down" so she had to use her Apple Square. I'm directly comparing Menchies to 4 other places all 4 will receive a review and Menchies is pretty good. They change their flavors up constantly, they have small gimmicks about current movies which is cool. Theirs toppings bar is decent. There's a good selection but in the end it's what caused them to take 2nd place. There just doesn't seem to be enough. They change up their side bar of toppings every so often but it's usually stocked with fruit, whipped cream, brownies, and boba (at least they're calling it boba I don't classify it as boba) read more

The lady was rude , she told us we had to wear a mask even tho we're are fully vaccinated but we understood her decision and did as said. When he did, he was rude. There weren't any sample cups, and I asked for some. There were 4 of us and 2 others in the store. He put out two, and seemed annoyed when I asked for me. He put out 3 more.
