This location is the LOUSIEST Starbucks we've ever set foot in. My drink (a simple espresso blended drink) cones to a grand total of $4.95 each day at our neighborhood Starbucks. Their extremely rude barista "Nikki" today demanded $12+ for the exact same drink our local Starbucks makes for $4.95. Manipulative "Nikki" kept me waiting around more than 1/2 hour to speak with her "manager Vicki" who ended up not even existing. Nikki happily skipped off from her ship leaving me still waiting to speak with "Vicki". Come to find the actual manager is "Kelly". Kelly stated up to me already annoyed that I'd dared to question her staff about the inflated cost of my drink. Kelly strikes me to be an immature person with a little bit of power. read more

Well, I would start with giving five stars to the staff because two different staff members greeted me the moment I walked in the door and that was very nice. Their shelf of gift items looked really good, and their bakery selection looked nice too. I bought a gift card for Mother's Day present for someone. There were many options for teacher gift cards, but only one Mother's Day card, which was fine. I did get two sweet treats from the bakery. Hands-down, the chocolate chip cookie is the way to go if you want something sweet and a traditional chocolate chip cookie. I don't know why the Dubai brownie bite caught my eye, but it did and I got that too. The Dubai brownie bite is not very sweet so be aware of that and I don't really know what was in the middle, but I didn't like it very much. It's like the brownie was trying to be healthy and trendy but it missed the Mark on both and it just wasn't delicious like the chocolate chip cookie was. But anyways, it was a nice experience in the store because of how nice the employees were. I just got the fastest made mobile order of my life. I pressed order while I was walking, less than 30ft from the store and it was ready almost as soon as I came in. Staff were nice, I didn't talk to them other than asking for a straw bc it was a mobile order but I was really impressed. Inside was nice and clean and I like the setup inside. Put in a mobile order on 1/1. All systems were running correctly. When I arrived no one answered in the drive thru, doors were locked. But employees were inside. Still was charged for my drink and food even though it was never received. Called the 800 number said that their hours changed and they would not be open until 1/2. At least block off the drive thru, turn off your machines. Horrible customer service they just stood there and looked at you, no I'm sorry we're not open right now. Nada nothing so unprofessional. This is one of my favorite Starbucks! For a drive-thru location, it has enough seating indoors and out. The baristas are helpful when I can't decide on a drink, and all of them have been very friendly! The sweets are fresh and delicious, too. The parking is pretty good because there is a much larger lot a few yards' walk away. I have found the bathroom to be clean also, which is a good indicator of a store. read more

I usually drive thru, but today my kiddos and I went inside to see one of the baristas and spend a gift card. Our favorite barista, Sarah, was as friendly as could be. As a frequent customer here, this is my go to place considering it's near my gym where I work out. This also makes go to place for studying. The crew here is very synergized, cordial, and capable of providing "A level" service. A staple of this place that I usually order is the "Nitro Cold Brew", and my favorite sweet treats is the Chai tea latte or Mocha Frappuccino. There has never been a day we're my patience has been tested nor a day of contempt at this location. The atmosphere of this aligns well with my values of humility and taste in coffee. There was a time when I would review more chain restaurants, stores, etc. However, I feel most people know what to expect on a basic level. Yet chain stores do sometimes have differences (the kind that can make all the difference of where you choose to go when you can). One may pay more in gas and drive a little further to get there. Some shops may have larger selections of merchandise and brighter teams. Many have improved service and better layouts. I'm more inclined to stay a little longer and enjoy the space when a place exceeds my expectations. I admit I will travel to a certain degree for exemplary service, I always have and always will. This week I was ecstatic because I found what I would call my "absolute favorite" Starbucks location in North County San Diego! Why you might ask? First, it's new with a wide open layout. I liked the seating options. Secondly, the team that served me were what I would deem a dream team! Maybe, it was a good afternoon. They were enthusiastic in their service, proud to show off their new location and quite knowledgable of their latest product offerings and specialty beverages. It didn't hurt that this new location had nitro on tap! The dream team offered me a celebratory opening shot that we shared! How fun is that! So, although a chain is a chain, no two are alike. There will always be one better than the rest. I know which McDonalds locally has the "hottest" fries, I know which Jamba Juice keeps their juice machine "running" till closing versus cleaning it early so the staff can go home. Really enjoyed my service here at this location has always been my go to spot. Today I ordered ahead on mobile and went in to pick up I noticed one item taking a bit longer so I just waited. Thankfully a staff informed me they no longer had that item and kindly asked how I would like my item replaced or refund. Very kind and giving myself options. I said no worries a pumpkin loaf is just fine since I only ordered a ham and cheese croissant. When they came to bring it out to me they handed me a lil courtesy gift card. I came in on a busy Sunday morning and was so impressed by the efficiency of the team. There were about 10 people working and all of them had great attitudes, fast-paced work, and it ran so smoothly! Names of employees are: Gretchen, Garrett, Aaron, Britt, Emily, Andy, and the others were at the driveway window so I couldn't catch their names. Garrett stood out with customer service and friendliness. Update: I dropped my straw and went back inside after 15 minutes or so and Garrett immediately says, "What can I get for you, Kelsey?" WHAT?! Knowing their tendency to under sweeten these sort of drink I have my order set for 6 shots of vanilla and 6 shots of caramel. 75% of the time it tastes "decent" - they don't give you full shots. But anyway, the reason I'm writing this now, is because I just came from there again and come home w/ my 12 syrup shot late and it tastes like a GD plain late. WTF am I paying $6+ dollars for. I spend my mornings at this Starbucks location. It's spacious, everyone is friendly, and they get the job done. They are very accommodating whether it's a mistake on their part or yours. Don't be afraid to speak up because they are absolutely willing to help make your Starbucks run a great one. My favorite crew member is Michael! I have a difficult name, and he has always made it a mission to get it write with pronunciation and spelling. He's the best! First off, as a new Starbucks this places is beautiful. Aesthetically pleasing. They have a bunch of succulents outside, and I have to stop myself from pickin them for my own garden, but they are beautiful. The inside is just as nice. It's big and spacious. Almost always pretty clean, except after a giant rush- which is understandable. The partners are trying to get everyone's drinks and food as quickly as possible so.. It can get pretty slow some times so usually between 10-2ish is a good time to come through and just enjoy the quiet of the store. And after 5pm too. It's p much a ghost town till they close. *i spend waaaay too much time here* The staff is great. They're very patient and accommodating. Even to the really mean and entitled customers- which I don't understand why they act that way, it's just a cup of coffee lady. Is it really gonna wreck your day? Maybe learn the name of the drink you want instead of comin up with a name. It literally says it on the name on the menu board. "Luxe Life Carmel Frappe?" This ain't McDonalds. This is a new location and has only been open for a month or two. It is very pretty, clean, modern, has patio seating, and is a prime location if you ask me. However, I do live super close so I am kind of bias. The staff are super friendly and the service has always been efficient and timely. Don't be fooled if you see 0 or 1 car in the drive-thru; you'll still wait at least 10 minutes for your drink, despite the 5 employees all "working." And by working I mean milling around and talking.
