It's been over 5 years since I reviewed this Starbucks. All I can say is if you are looking for fast and friendly, this is your spot. I noticed the drive thru line was moving very fast. I ordered at the sign and with cars in front of me I had everything within three minutes. Amazing. This crew has it figured out. My drink and sandwich was ready at the window. Picked up a drink Friday and got home before realizing it was covered in cinnamon, which I did not order. I called and planned to come a different day to get a replacement drink. The same drink, I told the manager what my drink was. Which they also have a way to look up mobile order's so there's no reason for it to not be correct. Picked it up today and not only was my drink wrong again, but the lady at the window was rude about it. Quick in and out. There was a little line for the drive-through. I was asking them to fill my cup so I had to go inside. Order was taken quickly and filled within a minute or two. Inside seems like a typical Starbucks. They had four or five barista's working. my order tastes correct. I was surprised to see the food case empty except for a few pops. We come through Oakdale every so often and I usually grab a coffee here. I will be back. read more

They have 3 in town. You can no longer sit and relax in the downtown Starbucks. Inexperienced staff. So the coffee is just ok if you're wanting coffee. They really ruined this Starbucks by taking away tables and chairs. They changed their hours. Not convenient for the early crowd so much now. Stopped going there. Peets is better inside Raley's. The bathroom was really dirty! The customer service is good. I don't remember the young ladies name that helped me today, but she has pink & purple hair. She was so amazing very gentle kind soul. I had a business meeting with someone here today, I usually don't have Starbucks but she was very helpful. This used to be such a clean location but the last several visits over the course of at least a year has proven that cleanliness and customer service is not in their vocabulary or in their scope of care. Tonight I came here to grab a coffee. The floor was sticky to the point my feet were sticking to the floor the barista just apologized but in the course of sitting at the equally dirty and sticky table I had to clean, one other customer commented on the sticky floor and between the three staff working not one could be bothered to address the issue. Makes me question their cleanliness in the back areas and sanitary procedures. Definitely the last time I come here since I can be understanding if they were busy at the time or if this was the first time but it's not, they were slow (6PM in the evening) and it's not the first time this place has been more appealing to the roaches than customers. Although I miss the ability to sit in this coffee shop, their new layout of the store is great. It is clean and offers. Plenty of space to wait for your beverage. On a tough morning it's a great place to get a hot coffee on the way to work. The friendly staff and timeliness are both amazing. Horrible customer service and cocerns over safety covid procedures. So we walk in as the only customers inside (masks on) and there are 4 employees there who look up. No one says hello. The older employee behind the register doesn't greet/say hello either when I placed my order. She had her mask hanging below her nose so if she were to sneeze it would be all over the food and your coffee/lid. She had no plastic gloves on while setting out food. She was rude and short with us...she might as well have clocked out and call it a night. Just sad that even when we are trying to be nice she wasnt picking up on it and giving it back. Usually Starbucks employees are friendly/upbeat even during these hard times but this location just left me uneasy especially how with her improper way of wearing the mask and not even wearing gloves while handling food. read more

The people at this location are always nice and friendly but they make terrible drinks. If you are going for a basics black coffee or cold brew with no additions or customizations then go here, otherwise set your expectations low. For some reason they taste very chemically, I don't know if they aren't cleaning things correctly or their syrups are old, but I will still go to this location over the other Oakdale one. If you have the time drive to Riverbank, that's the best one. read more

[Out-of-Towner Review] Just a small town girl livin' in a lonely world... ...looking for coffee before she drives 1.5 hours back home! Here for a quick work drip and in need of caffeine! We were going to use their drive thru, but at 2 PM on a weekday seemed to be a popular time in Oakdale to grab coffee. So we didn't and we went inside. The staff was super sweet and we loved the cute small holiday decorations that adorned each table. It was your average Starbucks experience, but I am assuming this is the only one in this small town, which is why it was so busy on a random Tuesday at 2 PM. No issue and my drink was just as I'd expect for a soy latte with an add shot! Small town feel, big city coffee flavor! read more

This Starbucks is not my preferred Starbucks. For some reason my drinks never taste good here . The drive thru is always long but moves pretty fast . When I went inside everything looked disorganized. When I have went through the drive thru the employees seem friendly . When I went inside it took them a while to get to me. I'm not sure I have the worst eye sight lol But she was super sweet and we were just chatting it up while she was taking my order! i'm usually a drive-through person because I normally have toddler with me and I'm in a rush but this time I chose to go inside because I had a little bit more time, and the drive-through line was very long. Once again this location has gotten even worse, from the attitude to the inappropriate language and conversations on the floor. I worked at this location for 6 years. I left about 5 years ago and the place was under great management but I'm not sure how Starbucks could allow this location with it being a high volume store to continue like this. I would advise any other Starbucks. The one down the street by McDonald's is amazing, has amazing partners(employees), great attitudes and the quality is actually to the standards and the standards you should get when going to a Starbucks. read more

I love this location! They are very popular, and even with a long drive thru line, they are pretty quick! Every visit, I am gifted with excellent customer service. Today I called and asked if they had any more Chicken Double Smoked Bacon Paninis in stock (I'm 9 months pregnant and craving that panini!!). The sweet worker who answered the phone told me they had two left and would hold one for me. When I got there to get it, I was given great customer service by Jace through the drive through. So I went to this location today not very hopeful that they would make my iced shaken espresso correctly. I have order this drink 20 plus times in the past at various locations and only once had it right. Grande Iced Shaken espresso with a splash of sweet cream. Usually it gets a good poor of cream and I want the coffee flavor to over power. Well as luck would have it Courtni asked as she handed it to me "does the color look right?" Wow I am amazed. Service was terrible today 07/20/23. Visited store 5824 at 1:36 pm and the lady taking my order was very rude. I order the same drink every day or so and for the first time ever they asked me a question about how I wanted the drink made. I have no idea how they do it every other time and don't ask any questions... she had an attitude because I didn't get her question. The line was a bit long even with the lobby now open to customers to walk in and grab Mobil orders. During the COVID-19 they were the only Starbucks open in town so the line was always long but they were very friendly and professional, getting people their orders quickly. After a good 12 years of being a Starbucks regular, & with too many visits to possibly count, I can say that this location is the slowest location I've visited. Anywhere. Ever. How frequent a customer am I? So frequent that my Starbucks gold card is good through 2019. For those unfamiliar w the card, gold status is dependent on how often you visit, not how much you spend. It's strictly a rewards card, & the more often you go, the sooner your gold status will be extended for another year. It's all done automatically. Look, I get how sometimes it's unusually busy. Peak times. That can't be helped. And in SF, btw, peak times are pretty much all day. So you learn to roll w it, right? Right. But, when there's NO ONE ahead of me in line to order, & NO ONE ahead of me waiting for the drink that they already ordered to be made, I don't expect my very simple menu drink to take more than 10 minutes. This has happened TWICE. Totally unacceptable. And completely avoidable, had the baristas been working instead of using company floor time to chit chat amongst themselves. I still love Starbucks. Just not this one. Lesson here? Drive thru only. Unless you can skip it altogether. One star. read more

Not sure what's been going on here lately, whether it's new staff, understaffed, or just what? But this place, especially in the drive-through, has slowed to a crawl. Used to be able to get through the drive-through efficiently but not anymore. The folks inside are still nice enough. But there just doesn't seem to be any urgency to speed things up. This morning, it would appear one effort was made to speed things up. Ordered the egg bites for breakfast and to be expedient, they decided to just drop them into the bag without the brown carrier they normally come in. So nice and squashed up in the bottom of the bag. This has to be the worst Starbucks in California! Twice this week I've ordered coffee and had my son pick up, and both times wrong! Today I ordered a white mocha and received a hot chocolate!! Every time I go in I never know if they are going to get my order right or not. They seem to go through staff fast it is like a revaluing door.
