Northport Books is such a welcome and wonderful addition to our community!! It's perfectly situated…read moreright at the middle of Main Street, inside the old La Mantia gallery. They do such a great job of utilizing the building's unique layout, with the front half of the store dedicated to literature (adult and YA on the right, children's on the left) and the back half functioning as a space for people of all ages to sit, read, and hang out. In the back on the right side of the store, there are plenty of comfy chairs to settle into and read, and over on the left side is an adorable children's storytime space! In terms of titles, they have a wide and impressive variety- especially considering how new they are! I bought Amy Tan's "The Backyard Bird Chronicles," and was definitely intrigued by other titles from authors I hadn't seen before. They have new indie, works in translation, cloth bound classics, and book tok favorites. Everything is so well organized and clean as well! Finally, the owner, Jennifer, and her family, are so incredibly kind and helpful!! They clearly care so much about what they do, and about their role in the community- as evidenced by their showcasing local art from the nearby firefly gallery, and potentially partnering with a local coffee shop in their bar towards the back of the store! Overall I think I speak for everyone when I say that I am so excited to see Northport Books grow, as a book store and thriving community center!!

The space is stunning and has so many new and classic books! There is SO much space for gathering whether it's for kids or adults and she shared her ideas for book clubs and events, and I for one cannot wait! Supporting independent book clubs is a passion of mine and I am so excited for Northport Books to thrive!

I ordered a premade chicken salad stuffed into Granny Smith apples and it was fresh and delicious. Also had a fresh baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that was fabulous. I'll definitely be stopping when in the area again.

They had a bunch of different types of pastries as well as sandwiches, soups, and comfort foods. We were in line waiting on our order to be completed by a staff member and there was a customer behind us that rudely cut in to get his order from another staff member. The customer did not care and I confronted him about it since we were in line first. When the one that was helping us came back, she was very surprised that there was another staff member was at the register instead of her. It was busy and I get that it's a popular place in the area for customers to come in for a coffee and a bite to eat. I find that it was hectic behind the counter with the staff members and how customers were being handled that were waiting in line since it wasn't organized. It has a nice view of the water if you want to sit outside across the street from the bakery instead of inside the bakery itself.

The women working were so nice in offering suggestions and giving me time to decide since it was my first time there. I settled on their Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte, Apple Cider Loaf, and Vegan Blondie. The latte was really good. I've never had a latte with pieces of cereal in it. It was surprisingly delightful. The Apple Cider Loaf was good. I loved the cinnamon sugar topping and the loaf was perfectly baked. Now, this Vegan Blondie... Holy Cannoli. You need to run here and get this!!! You will thank me later. The flavor is just phenomenal and one of the best blondies I've ever had vegan or otherwise. -Clapping. I will be buying more of these.

The two girls behind the counter were so sweet, welcoming and helpful. I told them I've never been and they took the time to go over the menu and make suggestions. I ordered a toasted marshmallow latte and an açaí bowl. I didn't get a toasted marshmallow taste, but it was still good. The açaí bowl was very good. They have a little menu that you can pick and choose what you want in your bowl. I added some chocolate chips and coconut. It was so fresh, flavorful and filling. There's ample seating and WiFi available. I was able to get some work done while in a peaceful environment. For my medium latte and açaí bowl it was about $15. I'd say that's very reasonable. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

We stopped by on Christmas Eve Eve, and it was such a fun, low-key way to kick off the holiday. The vibe was super chill the second we walked in. A solid neighborhood brewery with good energy. The bartender was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference, especially during a busy holiday week. It felt like the kind of place where regulars hang out, but newcomers are just as welcome. They had live music going that night, which added to the cozy, festive feel without being overwhelming. You could still talk, laugh, and actually enjoy your beer, which I appreciate! It felt more like background vibes than a full-on concert, in the best way. I ordered the Lindy Light, and it was exactly what I wanted: crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink lager. Perfect if you're not looking for something super heavy or complicated. The tap list had a nice mix overall, so whether you're into lighter beers or want something with a little more character, there's definitely something for you. They also have NA and cocktail options. The space itself is casual and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. It's the kind of place you can pop into for one beer and end up staying longer than planned. Friendly staff, good beer, live music, and an easygoing vibe. I'd absolutely come back, especially around the holidays or anytime I'm in the area looking for a relaxed hang.
