This has been one of my go-to Starbucks locations for 5+ years. I've never encountered any issues with my orders or staff. I do find the staff here warmly welcoming and accommodating compared to other branches, they're really lovely folks whose small interactions of kindness brighten up the day. I recall a time a drink I requested was sold out, and an employee quickly responded with making a similarly-tasting duplicate. I also appreciate that they let me know which ingredients have changed and kindly offer to re-make the drink if the taste wasn't to my liking. read more

It used to an Arby's many years ago. Wonder why it closed. Must be due to the fact Arby's didn't own the land. Anyway, it's a large location that is the closest to Newark Memorial. It is right next door. They obviously get plenty of teens coming over during both lunch and after school. I'm glad that I haven't come when it's packed. It's pretty busy now on a Sunday afternoon with people enjoying their coffee/tea and doing their work. There is just one negative about this place. There are only a couple of power outlets especially those closest to the drive thru area. Easily taken over by fellow customers with more than one devices. So it's not the ideal location to do work on your computer. I would suggest the two Starbucks on the Fremont side if you must get something done. Also avoid it on Monday through Friday either during lunch or afterwards. read more

I was craving coffee so I decided to drop by to get a drink. I ordered the venti iced crème brûlée latte. It wasn't busy so my drink only took a few minutes to be done. I waited an hour later before drinking the coffee due to an orthodontist appointment nearby and the drink was still delicious. It satisfied my coffee and sweet cravings simultaneously. By far one of the best Starbucks locations in the tri city area! The staff are great here, the drinks are consistent, the facilities are clean, and the location is perfect for any occasion. I especially like this spot due to how quiet it typically is unless they're hosting interviews for their staff. With a drive through and plenty of spots in the parking lot, this Starbucks is conveniently accessible. Given that it's close to the highway, it's great for folks who are on the go but because it's also close to schools and the mall, it's also great for folks looking for a place to relax a bit before the next errand. If you'll be here for a while, you'll have a few options where you can station. The outdoor patio is great to soak in some fresh air or take calls and not be disturbed by ambient noise. You may also consider the standing tables to minimize the sitting. Or perhaps you could grab a chair or booth and be among the coffee shop energy while you work or study. In any case, the free wifi is very much appreciated. Furthermore, their bathroom setup is by far the best I have seen. There are a total of four stalls and each stall is individually locked in its own room. There is a communal sink area that includes all automated fixtures for soap, water, and air. Also, from time to time, the staff will serve up some drink samples for their features drinks. Great way to try something new and perhaps find a new favorite! As always, their drinks are great but they are creeping up in price. If I had the choice, I'd brew my coffee at home but if I'm on the go and need a place to coast for a bit, I'll likely seek out a coffee shop. I personally would prefer the small businesses and self roasters but in a pinch, you'll know Starbucks, being an established chain, will have all the amenities for you in addition to fairly priced coffee. Overall, Starbucks is what you'd expect but this location goes the extra mile to do better than just banking on the name. The staff are always friendly and quick to fulfill orders. The place is clean and maintained pretty well. The amenities and local shops sharing the space is also a big plus. If you're looking for a Starbucks, this is the one to go to, even if it's a little out of the way. read more

The baristas are super friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in :^) I think this is one of the fewer starbucks with more seating and wide space. Not packed either so it's a gem of a place to study at. The only thing is that its super close to a highschool so during certain times (like lunch or after school hours), it get really crowded with teenagers for a brief moment of time. The bathrooms are nice as well! Individual stalls. Would come more often as a place to study. Also would recommend trying their new drink: "Paradise". Mads was absolutely incredible. I was looking forward to a fall beverage but they were out of chai. When I wasn't super sold on a pumpkin spice latte Mads offered to make me a custom creation of an iced caramel apple latte with the salted caramel cold foam (not on the menu) and if I didn't like it that they would gladly make me something else. This Starbucks location is amazing!!! The staff is super nice and welcoming :) Okay let's talk about the "new" drinks I ordered... the Golden Ginger and Matcha Pineapple.... they were SO BOMBBBB! I'm so used to other Starbucks making the drinks waaaay too diluted and watery so I always ask for light ice but usually even then the drinks are too diluted. However, this Starbucks location GOT ME RIGHTTTT!!!!!! Once I took a sip I was SO IMPRESSED!!! The ginger and the spices were so strong and so yummy!!! I loved it so much, if you like ginger and turmeric and spice I highly recommend this drink! The matcha pineapple was also made to PERFECTION! My loooord just look at the colors of my drinks.... #nofilter You can taste the delicious strong matcha mixed in with the refreshing pineapple juice, this drink is such a delight!!! I also have gotten these drinks from other Starbucks locations and they were always so diluted. I'm glad I didn't give up on these drinks haha. Kudos to the staff here for their contribution in making Newark community a better place! Don't let the long line of cars at drive thru scare you if you want to get coffee at their drive thru window. The line moves fast because the staff moves fast. I usually take the drive thru, but today I was feeling adventurous and went inside. Adam was very helpful and friendly. My Starbucks app was acting very "quirky" and unresponsive on my phone. Adam helped me get it working again in no time and I was able to get all my points and stars for my order. My 2 hot drinks came out in less than 5mins even though they had a drive-thru full of 10 or more cars. The drinks were made well, as usual and at a reasonable wait time of a few minutes. The only negative thing I can say about this location is that their parking lot is too small. Because of the COVID, the drive-thru is often packed with cars extending down the parking lot and the line of cars are blocking other customers' cars that are parked in front of the Starbucks store. Sometimes Starbucks customers can be impatient with this problem and sometimes they can be gracious. Just be careful here if/when you see the long line of cars at the drive thru and try to park far away if you plan to go inside. read more

Great Starbucks with tons of seating! First time coming to this location and was shocked to see how spacious the interior was. There were also lots of seats to choose from and to my surprise, it was pretty empty. This Starbucks is located right next to Newark High School in the Lions Plaza so it will get really crowded and noisy after school hours or maybe even during lunchtime. The staff were super friendly and greeted my friend and me as soon as we came in. I ordered my usual Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso which is never a miss! My friend ordered one of their new drinks called Paradise and boooiii was it good!! It tasted just like a Pina Colada but with freeze-dried pineapple on top which was super good! This is absolutely my LEAST favorite location, as someone with anxiety, they should know how to treat people with disabilities in a decent matter. I drove here today at 4:57pm, I have over 600 stars saved up and wanted to learn how to use them. I asked in the drive through (not a single car in front or behind me) and I immediately got attitude. I got upset because I was getting one worded rude answers which is not like Starbucks at all, I've always for the most part (90%) have had positive experiences. I got frustrated and left the drive through to figure it out alone. Once I came back I had the same chick giving me attitude and making me feel super uncomfortable. Once I got up there to pay shes still giving me attitude and proceeds to spill water all over me and says oops sorry. Obviously I'm heated so I then go and call the store to speak to the manager and I get this shift manager who's completely not interested, as I'm telling him the story he goes "mhm mhm, is that it???" Before I give my review, I want to say that Marcus and Sarah are two AMAZING baristas that work here. The customer service they provide here is simply the BEST! Both of them are super friendly and courteous, you can tell they really care about their customers that they serve. If I was rating my review on just them alone, it would be a 5 star rating, however, I'm judging this location as a whole. So, shou-out to Marcus and Sarah, thanks for the AMAZING and AWESOME service! Now onto my review: This Starbucks is newish, only been open for less than a year so far. It is a former Arby's fast food establishment remolded and transformed into a Starbucks, so it is pretty decent sized location. Follow them on Instagram @SBuxMowryCedar! There is plenty of seating within the location, but I think the inside was ot quite designed correctly. They should have put better seating and tables, rather than a lounge style in the middle. They should have out a long table instead. Also, the little outside seating patio area is also not really needed. Should of extended the store itself, rather than leave that tiny sapce for outside seating. Also, the WiFi here is extremely slow. They currently only have 1 router, which makes absolutely zero sense since this is such a big store with plenty of seating. Called Customer Service to complain, and theyv said they will address this with the district manager in regards to getting an additonal router for this location. The inside of the place is not as clean as it should or even could be. You can even tell just from the trash all around the parking lot that the people who work here do not care about the cleaniness of the location. There is trash all over front parking lot and even inside the trash bins are overfilling and they do not seem to empty them out. The tables could use a good wipedown as well. Overall, the location itself needs some improvements, but Marcus and Sarah are AMAZING! read more

I can and asked for no ice and there was a surcharge for 1.80. No problem so I go up to the window not knowing if the surcharge and asked what it was for. So I declined the surcharge for NO ICE. And said you can just put ice in the cup. So I already knew they were gonna fill my drink to the freakin top with ice. And to my surprise YES ALL FILLED WITH ICE. This may be my favorite Starbucks. I have one next to my house and the lines are always long, seems like there is no urgency and the line crawls. It has taken me 20 minutes to get through. This is a place also with just drive tru available at the time. This Starbucks is the best. Don't believe the yelp that it is temporarily closed because it is not. I would give this place a zero rating if I could. My second visit here was today, and both times the staff has been quite unwelcoming and rude. I made the decision to order a drink, and when it arrived, I could tell by the color that it hadn't been made properly, but I still gave it a try. When I tried it, it tasted odd, so I politely requested that one of the baristas, Emoly, correct it for me--not remake it. She was very harsh about it not being helpful at all and gave me a lot of attitude. She changed my drink after much of going back and forth, but the flavor was still awful. I have never had worse customer service at a Starbucks than this. Particularly Emoly, the staff members here need to be friendlier and more welcoming to the costumers.
