UNREAL Ordered doordash from starbucks vail gate. Ordered a strawberry acai, PAID EXTRA for no water to be added and extra strawberry acai. I get my drink and I can clearly tell water was added, I've gotten this drink 50 times or more. I call to complain and they tell me to go through doordash! HUH?! Doordash didnt mess up my order. They did and you know what doordash gave me back $1.50 for a $9 drink that taste like water. I can't make this crap up. Insane and terrible customer service. Manager was an extremely rude to the girl she was training and us in return. The girl was sweet and trying to help us with our order since we were waiting over 10 minutes for one drink. When we told her she could have delivered her words kinder to her employee she came at us saying we don't know her and she went one for about 2 minutes arguing her tone with us. Large place with plenty of seating. Perfect for solo or groups gathering. Every single time I've tried the drive thru the waiting time was just ridiculous, so I would recommend ordering ahead of time and just picking it up inside if you are rushed on time. I decided to go to the drive thru of the Vails Gate, NY location on a Tuesday morning because my birthday was on that past weekend. I was hoping that they would honor the fact that I didn't leave the house on my birthday and was passing by and remembered I had a birthday reward. Every location I have gone to in the State of Florida honors your reward if missed within the same week and some in the same month. Not Vails Gate, NY. When they would not honor it I reached to pay for it with a $50 bill and was then told that they didn't want to break a $50 because they didn't have change. I said thank you and vowed never to return with such horrible customer service. I have now vowed to never purchase Starbucks again. I was an avid customer, purchasing Starbucks coffee weekly at several stores as well as supermarkets. Never again. I can see why this location only has two stars. Please retrain your crew. read more

I frequent this Starbucks quite often in the morning. Upon entering on certain mornings a young lady,Abby, enthusiastically greets me and consistently has a very pleasant attitude (which at 6 am is much needed lol) I have also found when she is working counter or on rare occasion I frequent the drive thru my order is correct. If I was basing this review solely on this young lady I would give it 5 stars. However, I have found that a lot of times the workspace and tables are dirty. And there have been fruit flys in the display case. I really think management at this location needs to better address these concerns. read more

I can't speak for other people, and neither can I relate to the negative reviews below, but fortunately I have never had a bad experience here. They have always seemed to get my order right. And everyone who has ever attended me has been very friendly and efficient. The only thing about this location is that it's in a very busy area, and in a plaza, and the lines can get really long sometimes... especially since the line starts out at one end of the building and Starbucks is at the other end. But it also seems to get moving rather quickly... read more

Never really had a problem here. Yeah, sometimes they seem slow but that's usually because they're swamped. I see the staff all running around getting shit done. It's not like they're not working. There's usually just a lot of orders to fill. I usually use the app to order ahead and it's always ready when I get there. The negative reviews are just angry people imho. One of the workers there let me return a full pound of coffee a half hour after I bought it because I mistakenly got decaf. I was fully prepared to have to pay for a new pound since I had opened the bag already. But she said "no problem, just grab the right one." This location is solid. I personally really like this starbucks because its in a very convenient location. All the baristas ive come into contact with have been more than pleasant and while i usually do the drive-thru, i actually went into the store a couple nights ago and it was very clean and well kept. My main reason for giving 5 stars is because my dog is a big fan of puppicinos, and they never have a problem just giving me a literal cup of whipped cream for free, even if i dont order anything else. Never had a problem at the Starbucks at New Windsor, NY. One young woman always remembers my order, and has it ready before I get there and hands it to me with a smile. I have always been happy coming here. But his morning, and I think I was also having a bad day just like the Barista. The line outside was very long, and they were rushing. I waited a long time for just a hot coffee with cream, and I wanted to suggest to the girls that if they get the hot coffee right away like at other Starbucks, they won't forget since they are rushing to heat up pastries and other things. The Barista was so rude to me. Kept yelling at me that they were very busy, and she kept defending the girl that took my order. She didn't let me speak. She got angry, when I told my husband she was upset and wouldn't let me explain. The worst thing is when they laugh when you walk away among themselves and high five each other for defending each other. It is very immature, and they need better training in customer service. I am right that the girl that took my order should have gotten the hot coffee out of the way first, but the Barista was too busy getting defensive to say to me, "yes, ma'am that's a great idea. We are very busy right now, but it is a very good suggestion." I would have given the place a 3 star and maybe a 4 star for the young woman who is so attentive usually she comes in late afternoon. This was this morning July 12th, and the morning Barista at New Windsor (or the one making the drinks) was very rude to me. Just to answer the reviewer named Todd: No, it is not just angry people. I agree that they are busy and getting orders filled. I agree with you, but I am not an angry person, and I am not angry when I am saying that the girls taking orders were very busy but rude. They take the fast out of fast food. If you're going to order from them I suggest using the drive through. I have been the only person in the store and had ordered a single coffee and had to wait 30 minutes. I've been to this location about 8 times all at different times of the day. The WORST Starbucks I've ever been to. Everyday they open at different times and close sometimes at 2. Some days they don't open at all. One day you go in the lobby to pick up a mobile order. They next day you can only walk up to the door. The following day they put a sign on the door saying mobile orders have to be picked up in the drive thru line (with 25 cars on line)! This place is terrible. The staff is largely incompetent. It's dirty. There's a good half dozen people working here and the trash is literally overflowing. Dirty dishes by the condiment/cream station. Outdoor tables were not dried after the rain stopped and sun came out. AND the coffee tastes burned. Dunkin Donuts is next door and while their coffee is awful, I should've gone there. This is, hands down, the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. read more

Was so happy to have a Starbucks put in so close to home! Well now I drive to the old one again 25 mins away from this one, this is the SLOWEST not only Starbucks but drive-thru I have ever encountered! I have given them about 10-15 chances and not once was a good experience. I wait 45mins stuck in this drive-thru because once you are in you're in and there's no getting out! 45 mins with 3 cards in front of me. The shortest I've aver wait there is 15 mins no matter how little cars there are. So I thought hey let's just order ahead from now on and go in... nope! Ignored, disorganized, sticky and messy.
