Located in a downtown area, place is pretty big, with a lot of cool seating. Woman working behind the counter was friendly and worked me through their coffee choices. I went with their house dark roast, they roast their own beans. They also use real mugs for customers that are staying to enjoy the coffee. That really adds to the experience. I have heard mixed reviews on their coffee-- some have told me their iced lattes are watery. I was also told the hot coffee was just alright. I also tried the dubai chocolate waffle which tasted great but was a little expensive for the size, but still yummy. The baristas were friendly, and you can choose to order from the counter or have someone take your order at the table which was interesting. I really liked the interior-- it was clean, modern and comfortable and would be a great place to do remote work, ready or study. The view of the lake dock is also nice. Overall a good cafe that I would go to again.

Found Common Grounds on Yelp and knew it was my kind of place! The shop is modern, clean, and bright. The staff was friendly and professional. They roast their own beans. My father in law and I went with Americanos and my wife had their cold brew. The Americano was robust yet smooth and my wife enjoyed the cold brew. Definitely glad we got to try Common Grounds!

Earlybird is a coffee shop that just opened in Briarcliff Manor and they have another location in Riverdale. I came by because I truly needed a pick me up after a busy day in the office. The space is super cute, and next time I return I definitely need to pick up some merchandise. I thought I was going to order a cold brew (though the Nutella latte also sounded tempting) but ended up ordering a cinnamon matcha latte. It really did hit the spot!

When I walked through the door the environment was cozy: local art and other goods were available for purchase, the baristas were friendly and shared their recommendations generously. I tried the Arnold Palmer which was a little bitter though I liked the real tea taste mixed with the lemonade (they had a solid selection of summer/seasonal drinks). I didn't stay for long but noticed they had a mix of indoor and outdoor seating options. They are located on Mainstreet - so the location is walkable but there are also street parking and municipal options available. A great spot!

I wanted to pick up a white elephant gift and get some birthday cards and was able to fulfill both objectives here. I also had a cooked and something to drink. It wasn't too crowded the day I was there but it's not a huge place. Prices are on the higher side, but what you'd expect at a quaint local shop. I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood (in Danbury, not Manhattan) so I could stop by regularly.

I was looking for a book, THERE'S ALWAYS THIS YEAR, and since I was in the area, was hoping I could stop by and pick up a copy. I called ahead and the staff could not have been more helpful. Although the system said they had a copy, they couldn't find it. Well, these folks searched up and down till they did and then called me back. That's A+ customer service. When I stopped by the shop was adorable. I hadn't known they do coffee as well and so had to enjoy a latte while I was there. I didn't get a chance to go upstairs, but I heard it's quite nice and the space for author events. Would highly recommend getting your books here. This place is what all bookshops should aspire to be.
