You walk in and know exactly where you are, which is both the blessing and the curse of Starbucks. The bathrooms are clean. The seating is plentiful. The WiFi is free and reliable. Nobody cares if you stay longer than your Danish can justify. They have built a global empire on the principle that you can loiter with dignity. That is no small thing. The coffee tastes like it always does. Dark. Over roasted. Charred in a way that feels intentional. You either make peace with that or you do not. I ordered my usual. Grande flat white, no sugar. Cheese Danish warmed. It arrived exactly as expected. Which is to say it tasted exactly like the last one I had in another state, and the one before that, and the one before that. There is comfort in such predictability. There is also boredom. When I walked in, no one was at the counter. The store was not busy. Still, it took a few minutes before a barista appeared. She was cheerful once she did. Efficient. Friendly. In a world of rote transactions, friendliness matters. This is Starbucks. It is not transcendence. It is not revelation. It is scaffolding. Another cookie cutter Starbucks, this one in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Can't drink the regular coffee because it tastes so burnt, so end up spending $8 for a latte and slice of lemon pound cake (excellent). Now that it is clear that the corporation is anti union, I see little reason to launder my money here, except where it is the place a client wants to meet when we are coming from diverse locations to a middle ground. This part of Jersey is all highways and shopping centers, with the likes of this Starbucks the only accessible weigh station along the way. read more

I ordered online, so our drinks can be ready when we get there and we can just leave. She doesn't say "i'm sorry we're so busy, i'll get that right out for you" or anything, she prints the sticker and slaps it on the drink that was next to her. So when you're paying more then $5 a coffee you expect them to to be correct. I ordered a VENTI chai tea latte with cinnamon dolce, but what I got was one with Carmel brûlée. Which besides sounding nothing alike they also don't taste alike. I also grabbed a mobile order for another coworker of mine as well. Her lid wasn't on properly& when she took her first sip it spilled all over her. Another coworkers nitro cold brew was not available even though she was able to order on her app. If this had been one mistake I would be much more understanding but this was 3 separate orders all of which had some type of issue. No real complaints but it isn't one of the 'best' with awesome baristas. The baristas are pretty nice. There are always a ton of people in here, like another reviewer said- if you're looking to study good luck. It can be sporadic with the amount of people sitting and usually the counter is free to sit. There's always a line and it's awkward depending on what door you come through and where the line is. It is a little disorganized with seating arrangements and where things are. Service can be slow because it is so busy but I guess that's expected, but still annoying. They don't always call out your name for your drink so sometimes you have to really pay attention to what you got and who was in front/behind you to know when your drink is going to be ready. Lots of parking is a plus. Not a bad Starbucks, it's got good chai lattes so I'm a happy camper. read more

Lemme get the bad out of the way, this Starbucks is no longer 24-hours. With all the other economy cuts made by many corporations, it could have been worse... but it's still a loss. The good? There's still live music nights on Friday and Saturday! Yes, at a Starbucks. The crew still rocks shop, although they have a new manager that you get the feeling is not as hip as the one who made this place what it was. Many of the regulars, from Germans, to Italians, to Asian to suburbanite Christians, make for some awesome coffee conversation. The coffee, however, is still Starbucks. That means get an espresso, as the talent of the barista actually makes a difference with these drinks, whereas the drip may be as bad as a fast food chain these days. Hands down, it is amazing to find this place in South Jersey. It's no longer the haven for those of us who work thru the nights, but it is an impressive step and an accomplishment for Starbucks. read more

LJ, Mike, Kyle, Zac, Bethel and Sara never fail to serve me the perfect drink while also making genuine conversation with me. The store is always clean and usually pretty busy which I believe is due to the excellent service. I go out of my way to make time to go to this store everyday because of the staff. Not only does the staff know my usual drink but when I feel like switching it up they give me spot on honest recommendations. Purchased 3 drinks today - 2 strawberry açaí refreshers and a passion tea. All 3 drinks were so watered down they were nearly tasteless. My passion tea didn't have the lemonade in it that I requested. At $5(ish) a drink, it's really frustrating when they aren't made well. First thing let me point out that the ones on the turnpike do not open till 6am. So when I have to go on set early. I take 5 minutes to drive out of my way to stop here first thing. They are open 24 hours a day. Nice to know they are there when I need my starbucks fix. They have a few tables outside so it is a great place for me to hang out with one of my dogs or one that is in for boarding school. Busy place so great for training purposes. I go through the drive through at the SB in Delran a lot and they have outdoor seating too. Just not as good of set up as this one. Commercialization is everywhere in this area of South Jersey, but it's almost necessary to talk up the recent Centerton Square businesses and particularly Starbucks. Three words: Twenty-four. hour. caffeine. 24-hour caffeine served in a comfortable setting (although all Starbucks could use more counches/comfy chairs) with the New York Times at your finger tips and muffins and cookies of all sorts. Granted it's pretty cold inside for whatever reason and it IS Starbucks (hence 4 stars instead of 5) but it's nice to have around. And, in attempts to mutate into something with a more personal appeal perhaps, this Starbucks hosted a night of local musical performances the evening before Thanksgiving. Doubtful that Corporate came up with the idea, but they agreed to it! Kudos for that at least, as perverse as it seems. read more

Standard Starbucks. Good amount of parking. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating and smoking is no longer allowed outside. Seating inside is also good. The staff is very friendly and there is an open mic night every Thursday if you're into that. read more

This is my new preferred Starbucks location. The staff are friendly and helpful. I used to work for Starbucks, so I know how to craft a decent beverage while still focusing on the customer, and these folks do an excellent job. They really have the 'coffee culture' thing down at this store. Customers ask about beverages and receive accurate information. They never roll their eyes at my extensive/strange drink requests and they were great about customizing beverages before Starbucks went on the customization kick. If something's wrong, they go out of their way to make it right with a sincere apology. I would enjoy the store more if it had a drive-thru or later hours, but I do think that could change the culture of the store. They're pretty fast here, too. Occasionally I meet my friend out here on her lunch hour as she works nearby and we make good use of her hour lunch because everything is quick. read more

I have only been to this Starbucks location once or twice when I happened to be in the shopping center. It's your typical Starbucks, except I don't love the set up. When you walk in the door there is a table right in front of you, and it seems that the entrance area could get very crowded and confusing during busy time. While I didn't sit down with my drink, I noticed the few tables around, none appearing to be particularly comfortable or private. Also, the area where the barista will hand you your finished drink is kind of in the middle of the store, leaving you to stand awkwardly in someone's way. I have on about 5 different occasions explained in specific detail what I want in my drink and have not once received the correct order. All of the service and staff here are amazing including but not limited too; LJ, Kevin, Kyle & Zac. I wanted an salted Caramel Iced Coffee with almond milk. The cashier said they could do an iced coffee with salted caramel syrup on top because the syrup had mocha toffee all combined for this season. Instead they made it with the syrup inside. I moved to NJ last summer to look for work. Staying with family, it was tough to have a place to do the job search without distractions, and in February, we had our first kid to boot... I saw this Starbucks during a shopping trip and decided to come see how it would work as an unofficial 'office'. I would come in once or twice a week, grab a coffee and find a seat, sitting for a few hours each time and doing my thing. The employees soon knew me by name, then caught on to what drink I usually ordered, and I never had a bad experience there. The staff are friendly and accommadating. I have been a Starbucks customer for years and this Starbucks in centerton square is closest to my work so I go there 3 times a week at a minimum. I have been increasingly disgruntled with this location. The layout stinks, the staff are fast but they seemed to have lost their friendlier baristas, and I hate that I have to ask for milk for my coffee because they only put out half in half...I know that's corporate but when I go to the Starbucks on main street they are so much cooler about it.
