When I ordered a Venti of the new summer berry lemonade refresher, they gave it to me half full and then gave me a separate cup of ice to put in so I realize that Starbucks is charging more for less which is unacceptable and then they also gave us the wrong cup type and made me and made me ask them to redo it three times and I asked for no ice! Starbucks is convenient and always seems to be available when you need it wherever you seem to be. Late in the afternoon I realized I had some stars that were about to expire so I thought I'll get myself a baked good. This location on Oakland is small but still bright as it has a corner window so lots of sun coming in. Ordered the blueberry muffin, and I had to remind myself that I am always disappointed with the baked goods there. The quality is not very much different from a packaged supermarket variety. The muffin did indeed have quite a few blueberries, but was overshadowed with being super sweet. Further, they added extra sugar to the top of the muffin, totally unnecessary! The texture was also off, more like a cupcake than an actual muffin. Just all wrong :-( read more

As I've said before, I would not consider myself a coffee drinker. However, I definitely enjoy the limited-time-only special Starbucks drinks. So when they featured the Salted Caramel drink last fall, I just had to try it! My fiancée and I walked into this location, which has a tiny parking lot (maybe 5 spaces?) and it is smaller than most other Starbucks I have been at but it is also cleaner than most locations too. I've been here many times as it is within walking distance - I generally walk here so the tiny parking lot doesn't bother me - and the baristas are always friendly. I tell my fiancée I want the "fruffy salted caramel ooey gooey goodness" drink and he knew what I meant. But he didn't speak up and order it for me - you see, when it comes to Starbuck I am clueless. So I ordered a large... what is that a grande?... Salted Caramel... [had to look up at the menu]... mocha... for us to share. Well they were making the drink and I was chatting, and the order was up and it wasn't the "fruffy ooey gooey goodness" drink I wanted. I asked Joe, "why isn't this the cold one with the mound of whipped cream and drizzled caramel?" He said I ordered a mocha and what I wanted was a frappicino. I guess I got kind of loud (as in, almost cheerleader voice) and was frustrated that I ordered the wrong thing because he didn't assist me. The barista asked if they made the wrong item and I told them no, that I was the one that messed up because I don't know the difference between coffee drinks. The 2 baristas then proceeded to make me *the biggest* complimentary Salted Caramel Frappicino (I seriously didn't know they made cups that large!) and apologized for the confusion. It was so very nice of them to make what I actually wanted (I think they felt bad because I had a blonde moment), but I left SO embarrassed! I like this Starbucks, it's close to home. But a lot of times the drinks taste differently depending on whose working there which is a bummer because some days the drinks have way to much sugar. They are not suppose to be made that way. Hopefully Starbucks can teach all the workers the correct way to make a strawberry Frappuccino! read more

I enjoy Starbucks, but this location needs to be re-trained by the Starbucks on Silver Spring in Whitefish Bay. It took them 20 min to make my passion tea drink, which they made wrong...TWICE. Then, my friend ordered a warmed up cookie, and it took the barista 20 minutes to get ready. Keep in mind that the location was not very busy today. The baristas need to work on prioritizing orders and they should be re-trained on how to correctly make drink orders. They made the same drink 3 times, but they made it incorrectly 2 of those times. Just as good as any Starbucks, and they are EVERYWHERE in the Milwaukee area !! Love it. This one on Oakland Ave is nice because Shorewood has a very cute downtown. Lots of restaurants and shops. This Starbucks has a parking lot, which is ALWAYS appreciated. You really can't go wrong with Starbucks... Large selection, lots of convenient locations. Maybe a little pricey for the larger options- the Venti...I have also heard that Starbucks has gone "Supersize" with the "Trenta," although I must admit I have never felt the need for this much coffee! A Venti is just right :-) I am obsessed with the seasonal flavors... The pumpkin spice latte, chestnut praline, peppermint mocha, Carmel brûlée and gingerbread latte TO NAME A FEW :-) you can get all your favorites in a hot or iced version depending on your mood/the weather! Can also substitute various ingredients to tailor to your specific needs like getting a beverage "skinny" or using soy or almond milk products over dairy. Sometimes I feel like they could use more staff because it is always bustling! Which means Starbucks is doing something right! read more

Located in the adorable City of Shorewood, it's smaller than a lot of other Sbux's I've been in, but that just makes it quaint. My best friend and I go to this one and the baristas are friendly, expert drink-makers, and they have the most comfortable chairs out of seriously, all other Sbux. I don't live around this Starbucks so I am not a frequent patron. Whenever I do visit, its on a weekend morning. This location has a very nice, friendly atmosphere where the baristas know a lot of people by name. They tend to chat with the regulars. So it gives you more of a corner coffee shop feel than a big, corporate chain feel you get at some Starbucks. The beverages are consistent with what you'd expect at Starbucks and the service is fast, friendly and accurate. Parking is limited, but I observed a lot of the patrons walk here - even in this cold weather. Besides there is plenty of street parking around. Definitely one of the better Starbucks locations I have been to; and I have been to a lot. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I used to live near the location on Downer Ave and they were so fast in the morning, it was wonderful. Even if there was a long line. They were also incredibly pleasant and friendly. This one however, on Oakland, is SO SLOW. The line is ALWAYS going out the door and it takes at least 10-15 minutes to get the order. There are usually 3 baristas but only 1 makes the drinks, keeping things very slow. The baristas never seem to happy to be there either. There are 3 other coffee shops on Oakland, maybe I need to go to those instead if I'm looking to be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. read more

After waiting for staff to discuss personal schedules and personal wants with significant others that stopped by, I was given a cold danish and a cup of steamed milk with just a little drizzle on top. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the drinks are tasty, and the bakery case is delightful. The downsides are the small parking lot and store size -- I don't ever plan on getting any work done here because the limited number of tables are usually full. This is, however, a great grab-and-go Starbucks - a few cars will fit in the lot, but there's usually plenty of street parking nearby. read more

Starbucks is my favorite coffee, hands down. Nothing will ever convince me differently. This review is on the particular location. I love the staff here, they are always very friendly. If you want to try something new they will give you their opinion. I love that about this place. Even if it is busy they don't treat you like it is. Also this location is very clean, including the bathrooms. There is a decent size parking lot, but if you go during peak times, there will be a wait. read more

It's a cute little area, and even though there is a parking lot, you will never be able to get a spot during normal hours because there are only 5 spots. Most of the baristas are very friendly, but there is one barista that you can tell does not like doing her job and thinks it is a hassle to make any sort of drink. Very small starbucks as well so if you are trying to get work done, chances are you won't be able to find a seat. read more
