I'm not sure why they can't pick up the chairs when they are cleaning up. And putting the chairs back in their place . But the employees like To drag them and it is irritating and loud. We come there to read , study and talk. Well it's like scratching a chalk board with metal object. I think I'd rather get my teeth drilled on than that. It's laziness and rude to your customers. Horrible experiences every time! The second and final time was it for me, I got mt order once again my cup was only half way full IF THAT. Very unsatisfied I called back to ask why my cup was once again not filled if that's what im paying for. The guy who answered had the audacity to tell me the other Starbucks were just "being nice" by filling my cup, the same order, to the top for me while this Starbucks did not more than once. Stopped going to Starbucks not only because every time I order a bagel toasted they instead burn it but now they are extremely bothered when I order a customized drink. Every once in a while you get a nice barista but I was going to Starbucks on a daily just to get rude side comments and stares? they started treating me, THE CUSTOMER! worse every single time and I know it's because they didn't think I knew the difference between a burnt bagel and a regular one or burnt espresso shots vs some on time, regular vanilla vs sfv, regular milk and half a half?! Is it bad that the paying customer orders a customized drink and knows when it isn't made the way they ordered? Or are you just mad you got called out and need to remake it? I just can't wait until the workers here get the drinks right. Today at the drive through they gave me the wrong size again. It's either the size is wrong or the drink is incorrectly made. Starbucks needs to explain to whomever is making Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappucinos that there's a Caramel Frappucino also. After having lunch at Panda, I felt the urge to get a "pick me up drink" so we walked over to Starbucks to order my usual drink of Mango Dragonfuit with water and passion tea base and liquid sugar cane. I can see how other reviewers say that this location seems to never get the orders right. Last time I came here for the same exact order, I saw that the barista used lemonade as the base, which made it too sour for my taste. This is after the fact that I ordered water and passion tea base. I felt bad and didn't want to complain and have them make it again. Fast forward to a few days after which is today... My drink seemed lighter in color, and I did see the lady use a "yellow juice," which turned out to be pineapple passion tea. We even asked when she called my name if it was passion tea base, and she said yes. Luckily, I tasted it, and it was actually good. Better than I expected. These employees deserve a raise! Super friendly and quick! They take the time to get to know you and are super welcoming. Ive been working remotely in their lobby for the past week and I've witnessed countless encounters with an uncooperative customer, and they've handled it well. Not many customers are educated on the California supply chain shortage, and these employees cannot control whether they are out of Java chips or impossible breakfast sandwiches. Also, they cannot control how many employees order through the app and how many order through the cafe especially with little labor. We need to give these employees credit for working so hard and fast to get us a cup of coffee. If you are running late to work or school, do not order 10/15 minutes before your shift starts, that is not their problem especially if you're running late to work. If you haven't worked customer service or worked with difficult customers yourself, then please be mindful and do not take your anger out on minimum wage employees. read more

The latte tasted of nothing but milk and I'm not one to be picky but this was really bad and as for the refresher IT WAS ALL ICE. I have had multiple problems with the employees. Firstly an employee overcharged me $20 extra. Very disappointing. I tried to go get reimbursed for the overcharged money but was told I would have to call higher heads about it, which was weird. Today's problem was their service once again. There was nobody in line behind me at the drive through yet I was told that I need to come inside to order for taking a few minutes. I ended up ordering due to them rushing me and had forgotten a drink, which I asked if it was okay that I order it when I got to the window to pay. She then replied yes that it was all good but once the drinks were ready I was told I would have to come inside to grab it because I was holding up the "line." This Starbucks is never busy and I now see why. So absolutely unprofessional. I usually frequent this one as it is close to my work. I normally do not have to deal with employees because I order online. The one time i had to deal with them they were very rude. It's very unusual for starbucks employees to be rude but this location has a bunch of them that need to be retrained on how to speak to customers. Very unfortunate because its a great location. Recently visited this location in the evening. Arrived at 8pm, from the parking lot the store looked closed by appearance. All the chairs and stools were already flipped and up on the tables, and crew was mopping and sweeping, but closing time isn't until 10pm? Walking in because every chair was up, there was no place to sit, not inviting at all. Going to the register, not greeted, I stood at the register well the baristas looked back and forth at each other until some told another worker she's on register. No smile or good energy from the girl that took our order. As my kids sat down, in the only 3 chairs closest to the register which can't be flipped onto the small table, the barista that was sweeping moved the small table and swept under the table and under the chairs while my 11yr olds were sitting down. I get that your trying to be ready for closing, but that itself is just rude. Kids or not. Thankfully the gentlemen barista that was working made the drinks PERFECT and had great energy, and for him alone, I gave it 3 stars. If not, definitely a 1 or 2. It has a lot of tables to work on homework, the WiFi is good no matter how many students, it's super close to the UC, power outlets all over, most of the UC students are here, there's local businesses around (in case your hungry), the baristas are extremely friendly, and overall feels very safe. My sister and i mobile ordered 3 drinks on 10/03/2023 , 2 Pumpkin Spice Chais and 1 Carmel Frap. Upon picking up I noticed both of my Pumpkin Chai Lattes had no pumpkin cold foam . I asked the girl making mobile orders if I could just get the cold foam on top (not even mentioning it looks like straight up milk.) Which I wouldn't have even cared if we had the foam on top. Which to which she responded " were out " . okay? after tasting one of the drinks it was literally milk i couldn't taste the chai at all . I politely asked if it was possible I could just make all the drinks caramel frappes because we weren't going to drink the chais anyway due to there being no foam in the first place. Service service service. I came here today to get my freebie birthday reward since I was traveling and without a Starbucks in the area. However apparently the reward expired!! Even though it's barely been a week yet... It's sad having a birthday gift expire and never would wish this upon my worst enemies. But I was saved by the nice lady here (maybe the manager?) and she comped my drink even though I wanted to pay, saying happy birthday to me. I mean come on, that's just too nice!! Very disappointed with my whole experience here at Starbucks on G street. Lady running the cash register (Katelynn) was so rude. She was too busy conversing to even take our name. We waited almost 30 minutes for a bagel and a croissant, just for the food to be cold. On top of that, when we asked for our order the man working the counter said he was too busy to help us and we'd have to wait for someone else. It was frustrating to see crew members standing around and not helping. Very disappointed will NOT be returning to this Starbucks .
