    Breakfast Burrito with sausage
    Christopher V.

Found a new favorite place for a quick breakfast! The burrito was big and delicious, just wish it had a little more sausage in it. The place is small, but it is decorated really cool. The service was also great, the owner checked in to see how we had liked the food. I will definitely be coming back!

Super cute inside. Love the decor. Sandwich was good. The soup was tasty but I wish it was thicker/creamier. $16. I'll be back to try breakfast

    Great ambience very well decorated

This was our first time trying this local spot in town and their potato bowl and homemade pomegranate raspberry tea was delicious! Nice service, clean and fresh foods and enjoyable ocean ambiance. We recommend them if anyone is looking for a new spot!

My mother called in and ordered a breakfast burrito with egg whites and ham, dressing on the side, chicken pesto sandwich with aoli on the side and pesto pasta salad for the side. Then she ordered hers and that was a roasted veggie sandwich with garlic aoli on the side and chicken added and she wanted potato salad on the side with it too. The worker said it would be twenty minutes. We planned on having half of each sandwich to get to try both. We went to get it. The worker was masked and very kind. The order was ready. The restaurant was very clean. They have outside seating. No eating inside given these times. My pesto chicken sandwich was really great! Focaccia bread was fresh and delicious! Pesto chicken cooked perfectly! Very tasty aoli sauce too! Yum! The pesto pasta was OMG amazingly delicious! It has so much flavor! Cheesy gooey goodness! My mother said her veggie chicken sandwich was one of the best sandwiches! She said the potato salad was delicious and had a lot of flavor too! Fantastic lunch! Great service and delicious food! Highly recommended!!! They deserve every star!!! =)

You could easily share them between two people and they let you choose a sauce for the pancakes, whether that's syrup Nutella or condensed milk. The espresso shots were actually really good. I was shocked because they are literally shots of espresso. They are not alcoholic unless you ask for alcohol in them. This spot actually offers complementary soup before your meal. For us Mexicans, it's called Sopa de Fideo. This soup was actually authentic, and it was really flavorful and good and was basically an appetizer to the breakfast. The espresso shots did come with a side of bread. Personally, I'm not a big person on espresso by itself however, these espresso shots were really good! Now the actual service here was great. Our waiter was attentive She was constantly refilling our water cups and she was able to give us recommendations for what to eat. Also I will add her recommendations were spot on. The inside of this restaurant is really aesthetically cute. There's a bunch of green anywhere outside. They have a cute patio area where you can eat. If you decide to do that! Anyways, I would definitely come here again. It was reasonably priced and it was really good for a breakfast spot. I will say that and the soup was a nice touch because I love soup!

Wait staff was really nice. She managed both patio and inside tables on her own before another person came in. Recommend!

We were on our way to a hike…read morein Mariposa and wanted a Mexican breakfast that would actually power us through the trail--Scott's delivered in every way. We asked if they could do a special order: a burrito deconstructed, with over-easy eggs and the tortillas on the side. They were totally accommodating, and it was exactly what I was craving--fresh, filling, and seriously delicious. I went for the blueberry pancakes, and wow: they were enormous, fluffy, packed with real blueberries, and basically the perfect pre-hike fuel. And the coffee? Amazing, as always. I meant to take a picture of my food, but honestly I accidentally didn't--because everything looked so good that I dug in immediately. And even without the photo evidence, the presentation and plating were incredible, just like they always are. This place has my heart. I'd give it a hundred stars if I could--highly, highly recommend.

Staff here are friendly, there's a solid bit of history and kitsch in the very back on the way to the restrooms, giving character to what is otherwise a decidedly local, low-frills experience. The steak salad (was it a steak taco salad?) looked quite tasty but also ordinary so I skipped it and stuck with breakfast; the sausage and eggs were very much unremarkable, but at least the hashbrowns were nicely pan fried and the eggs were a large portion. Biscuit and gravy reinforced the former impression, but again, hard to complain-- did the job. This place is super affordable and the overall verdict is a solid local place that's easy to appreciate but hard for me to say I would actually get excited about.

For starters we had the pork belly app with bread and honey ricotta spread. Both were amazing! Best pork belly we have ever had. Then I had the scallops and my child had duck confit! There was also a double bourbon and a latte in there somewhere. I wanted to try everything on the menu and should have had some wine. There will have to be a next time, and another next time. The restaurant was not very busy and it took almost 20 mins just to be seated at our table. We then took our place at the table and we waited another 10-15 mins for someone to wait on us. We kindly flagged the young male server there and asked him if he could get our server to assist us. The young female server finally came out to assist us - she was not very welcoming but proceeded to take our drink order. It took almost 15 minutes to get our mimosas and water. She did not greet us, inquiry if it was our first time there or gave us suggestions on the menu. She then proceeded to take our order which took a while to get our food. The plus - everyone enjoyed our meals from the way they were prepared to the ingredients. No one ever came to our table and gave us any water nor did they ask for a refill on our drinks. During this time I peeked around the corner and saw staff just sitting in the back talking to one another. I tried to keep the experience positive for my group of friends but they were also growing concerned about the lack of hospitality. The lunch schedule was only until 2 pm but because of Rainbird's delay in seating us, taking our drink orders as well as the slight delay we felt we were now being rushed to finish our lunch, I also wanted to celebrate our friend's birthday and I brought a cake - the server proceeded to tell me it would be a $5 charge per person if I cut the cake there. She did offer to bring a complimentary dessert for our guest of honor. In my opinion, due to the service we were not receiving the cake fee should have been at least discounted or offset due to the lackluster enthusiasm and service. As we were trying to finish our lunch and take pictures at this beautiful establishment we could see the "side eyes" of staff rushing to get us out the door. I am a firm believer of supporting small businesses in Merced since I was born and raised there and let's face it - Merced has very limited fine dining and we wanted to do something nice for us. In order for small businesses to thrive in this town they need our consumerism to stay in business. As I read from all the exemplary reviews on this platform we unfortunately had a very bad experience with this lovely establishment. A group of us came from Madera so that we could meet our gals from Merced as a middle location. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the service as well as the treatment we received from Rainbird. Next year we will choose another location for our next gathering. Please do better Rainbird.

The line to order was wrapped around inside the shop and out the door. I would say the bagels are 100% worth the wait though. They offer a wide variety of fresh bagels, cream cheeses, and toppings. They even have a sandwich menu! I ordered the Beesting Bagel Sandwich which comes on your choice of bagel with egg, bacon, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and a hot honey drizzle. It was absolutely delicious! The bagels were super soft with a nice crust on the outside. The cream cheese was perfectly thick and creamy. The hot honey drizzle really tied everything together well! Because it was so busy, it did take a while to receive our food. The line to order, although long, did go by pretty quickly. There were some tables inside but it was too crowded to find a spot. Luckily we were able to find a table outside while we waited for our orders. Whenever an order was ready, the workers walked around both inside and outside shouting the name of the order which made it convenient for us to not have to fight the crowd to the counter. The only issue I felt there was was the cleanliness. When you are standing inside, you can quite literally see years of caked on dirt on some of the not frequently touched surfaces. The lamps probably had an inch of dust built up. Although this isn't the most important detail, it still makes me question the cleanliness of the whole establishment. Despite this, I won't be held back from revisiting if I am in the area again!

It's your average lox bagel with tomato, capers, and red onions. The wait was about 10-15 minutes but there was a small line shortly after I ordered. Overall, I wouldn't come back if I were craving a lox bagel to this place because the total for 1 lox bagel came out to be $15 with tip, but it was convenient as this store is located near the highway.

It had potatoes, eggs, and a couple pieces of bacon. First, I have to say the food was mediocre warm. I don't know what was mistaken so long but you know it came to our table just tempted second thing I noticed is they don't know how to make country fried potatoes. They gave me au gratin potatoes without the au gratin part just the potatoes sliced thin but yet they weren't able to cook them all the way through like Country fried potatoes there was no seasoning. No nothing. It was like eating in England and with the way the English I've been talking about the way their food is that's not all that great. I would really like to teach them how to make potatoes. A chorizo burrito was greasy. I would like to teach them how to make one of those two so just remember people the service may be OK but you know what kills a restaurant is there food so they should actually get somebody that knows how to cook and actually takes pride in their cooking because this person absolutely did not so I don't know who is a cook over there, but they need to go learn something useful.
