Coffee to kick off Monday morning!
    Lily W.

Update 5mins after posting original 5-star review below: Apparently I spoke too soon. I asked for a coffee refill, free for Starbucks members but Sharon didn't know what buttons to push and kept repeating at me to pay. Sure I can pay the 50cents refill BUT it's discounted for members for free coffee refill. She simply would not listen when I asked her to check with another staff member to ring it up properly. Finally another staff member realized what Sharon was doing, came over, punched in the correct buttons on the register. Sharon said not a word of apology for wasting my time. She didn't even look at me as I walked out. So not all barristers are friendly. I was just lucky to have a nice barista who took my original order and wish I didn't have to deal with rude Sharon. ----- original review ------ Love it when I need to kill an hour and find a Starbucks that offers not just good coffee but also have friendly baristas! Lots of parking available in lot shared with Gelson's and other businesses. Also have a handful of pickup assigned spots tho people invariable park there even tho not doing Starbucks order for pickup. Ugh some people.

They always put stickers on my drinks. Extra love!!

This is MY FAV STARBUCKS!! I love the baristas here, they are kind, and make the drinks right on point. This Starbucks has been there for me, through rainy days, sunny ones, happy, sad, through corona time, and it really just feels like home. I love seeing the same friendly faces, and once in awhile new ones. I've come here with my nieces for a Starbucks date, Solo time, and some special yelpers for coffee and henna tattoos. (There's outdoor seating). It's located in same plaza as Gelsons Market, but hidden in a little corner. There is also 4 parking spaces for curbside service! Inside is really nice as well. I've always loved the wall art. So if I sit inside I'm admiring that. The baristas made their own version of pick up easier by alphabetical order. Smart!! Look for your letter amongst the 3 sections. Some favs include - 1) impossible breakfast sandwich 2) peach green tea lemonade 3) black tea lemonade 4) chai tea latte with soy milk 5) matcha green tea latte with soy milk or oat milk Can't wait for the seasonal to come back. This is my Starbucks spot! Love it! Gotta have it. Kinda can't live without it.

I've stopped a few times at this location and they were never busy which I LOVED. The customer service is good. Service is fairly quick. The drinks well made. Very clean inside and out. A few tables to sit at inside and a few outside. Wifi works pretty well. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot. Parking in front of the shop though is limited to a few minutes which is fine if you are just grabbing it to go. If you have a gift card, make sure to register it in order to earn points towards a free drink or pastry.

Oh and this is a cold brew with cold foam. Where's the foam?

Last time I'll go to this location. Clearly some new folks are working there but customers shouldn't have to train them. Two back to back botched drinks (pix included). I've got better consistency from La Colombe's latte in a CAN! Your employees will be your down fall Starbucks if you cannot ensure they can deliver. Too much competition out there to put up with this. Oh and I see Dunkin' Donuts is serving cold foam cold brew now too.

I have never been to Starbucks this slow.. No line what so ever.. But customer service is fantastic. Interior design is very classical but in a way have modern touches as well.

You have to spell and repeat your order they don't understand English and try and correct you then say sure to you. That's really rude.

Possibly about 3-4 years ago!! That's an estimated answer. It's still the newest one, compared to others in the area.

The matcha lavender latte is the star of the show. It's beautifully balanced: earthy matcha, a gentle floral note from the lavender, and just enough sweetness to tie everything together. It's the kind of drink you think about later in the day and wish you had another. And then there's the chocolate cake . The small ugly one that comes in a mini loaf, it was rich, moist, and deeply chocolatey without being overly heavy. It pairs perfectly with their drinks and feels like a little reward every time you order it.

PREVIOUS REVIEW2 It's been a while since I've been here the previous time. In addition to being very nice last time (except for the logistics of ordering and the non-functioning power outlets), the please remains a peaceful oasis and the ordering process has improved since. Most importantly, the coffee remains delicious, and the tomato basil tart was a wonderful quick lunch followed by a multi berry muffin. PREVIOUS REVIEW1 Cute little place in Atwater Village!! So cute with peaceful, relaxing and quiet atmosphere (inside/outside) that I thought I could get some work done (free WiFi). The concept is a bit confusing: There are a bunch of "menu items" such as sandwiches and wraps etc, but while they are listed on a big board behind the counter, you have to actually grab them premade/prepacked from a fridge ... The Vegan Smokey BBQ Wrap was very good except for the short and transient moment when I opened the container, but after all it was actually fresh, juicy and had a great flavor mix. The Mex Mocha with Almond milk (alternatives are available) was delicious, and I paired it with a GF Orange Chia Bread Loaf. PS: I'm neither Vegan nor GF fanatic... What really defied the purpose of coming here was the non-working power outlets, and the manager not taking care of it. My laptop unfortunately does not have a TESLA battery and hence I did not last for 2 hours... PS: I neither have a TESLA nor a Prius either ... Tip: Parking on this side of the street can be tough, look on the other side ...

I'm also not sure if Wynd is part of it as well (they were located on Virgil but moved elsewhere in the Arts District), but I did notice there was some sort of pop-up happening here too. I really love the location it's in, it's sort of hidden, and you might actually miss it if you're not looking for it. You park in the lot adjacent to it, and there's a sign that leads you to walk in. It really does feel like an oasis, like some people have described, tucked away from everything. Anyways, the coffee is amazing. The attention to detail these coffee shops put into everything is the cherry on top of it all. I'm a simple gal with my iced lattes with whole milk and no sweetener, and this place just knows how to get the ratio right, smooth, balanced, and not overpowering at all. Aside from it all, this location is definitely promising and I can see a lot of other businesses flourishing here. The vibe is so Zen.

The shop and coffee area have separate entrances, and drinks aren't allowed inside the store. There's a cart/rack near the entrance where you can leave your drinks while you shop, which is convenient. I've been looking for a matcha bowl for a while and came across one from Origami. It was labeled $26, which seemed like a great deal given the quality. Unfortunately, at checkout, the staff told me it had been mislabeled and was actually $45, and they couldn't honor the marked price. I understand mistakes happen, and I did overhear them saying it was someone else's error--they weren't sure how the $26 tag ended up there. It sounded like that price might have been the original Japanese yen price without markup. I guess it really was too good to be true. Still, it was a bit disappointing since I was excited to find it at that price in the U.S. Make sure you are charged the correct price during checkout in case they made the same mistake on other products and you get charged more than what you expect. Other than that, the staff was friendly. The coffee was decent, and the seating area had a really nice vibe. I would recommend this place if you are in the area and wanted to enjoy coffee without parking hassle. It's not exceptionally good coffee but it's still decent.

So anyways Heytea was completely off my radar because I figured I wasn't their target audience (which is fair) HOWEVERRR this new guava drink has me in a chokehold!! It's not thick and chunky like their other stuff. And it's actually good?? I hate that it's good because I went from a Heytea hater to a Heytea frequenter. It's floral, fragrant and it's a perfect mix of guava and milk/cream. Never would I have thought to pair guava and dairy together BUT IT WORKS SOMEHOW. Think strawberries and cream... but guava. The jasmine tea isn't prominent but it's there as a base layer and definitely smells soooo good. The guava taste is strong and I don't know what magic they put in there but it's not artificial and gross. The cream on top is nice too! I tend to drink from the lid the first and just enjoy the cream and then afterwards I'll mix it in with the drink. It's $8 which is pricey.... But I hate that I like it. I've gotten it like 5 times this month alone. They ran out of stickers but the drink is still just as good!
