Today (June 24), I stopped into Jamba with a toddler, and it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. The cashier was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. I asked if there were kid-sized smoothies, and she simply said, "No." After I placed my order, she just stood there staring into space for several minutes without saying anything. I finally asked, "Am I all good?" after tapping my card, and she yelled, "Give me a minute!" Keep in mind, I was standing there with a toddler the entire time. Then I was told the register wasn't working and that they were going to call Linda, the manager. It honestly felt like they were stalling in hopes that I'd just leave because the store was completely empty, and the two employees seemed annoyed that someone had actually come in to order. When I said I'd wait, the cashier walked to the back, and the other employee reluctantly came over to help. Suddenly, the register was working just fine. The employee then angrily went back and forth making my smoothie. When she finally handed it to me, she casually said, "The protein tastes weird." Not exactly something you want to hear after you've already paid for your drink. To make things even stranger, I was initially told that a peanut butter smoothie and a bottle of water would cost $17. When I questioned the total, it was changed. The whole interaction left me feeling like I was being messed around while trying to manage a toddler. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, unfriendly, and frustrating from start to finish. It was painful to watch this girl moving at sloth speed while the other girl took all the orders and made all the bowls coming in. It was pretty busy but 35 minutes is unacceptable. Went in this afternoon to purchase a Jamba Juice and a $25 gift card. Jamba Juice was running a promo "Buy a $25 GC Get $5 Rewards Card" .. I purchased the $25 GC but didn't get the $5 Rewards Card as noted on the flyers and posters. I asked Luis about the promotion... after reading the fine print ...he said it's no longer valid and wouldn't honor the $5 Rewards Card...I asked if he could just apply the $5 towards my Jamba Juice order but he rudely said no. Even though the signs and posters were right next to the register for all customers to see and purchase. I get it having to deal with a problem or upset customers are the last thing that anyone wants to deal with but AS A PERSON IN CHARGE (Luis) your job is to calmly and effectively diffuse the situation and figure out a common ground to please the customer not add to their frustration all while not solving the situation. If you don't want to put in the time or energy GO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE? This just further illustrates how horrid corporate facilities are and operate! Maybe if the staff was happy and properly trained on these situations and instances they would much better know how to critical think and go about things. People are humans and humans have emotions and feelings and I think people at work forget that. It's not your job to coddle people but, it is your job duty to make that person feel welcomed and like you "attempted" to do any and everything in your power to rectify the situation. But clearly that wasn't an option. Had Jamba Juice removed the flyers and posters when the promotion ended ... none of this would have occurred! Ordered 2 drinks and while we waited for them to be made i asked about the restroom that was literally RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, and the employee snapped at me saying "we don't have one!" Then the store manager went to explain that customer restroom use is at the distraction of the franchise owner and they were told that the restroom is employees only. I always find convenient parking right in front despite the high traffic volume. All the large drinks were around $8 and we split 2 of them amongst 4 of us after a hike. We had the Açaí smoothie and Strawberry wild(?). Both were really good. Açaí is always a little tangier, but still good. Strawberry is definitely on the sweeter side. It's a clean space, and service was good. Definitely needs a few more chairs though. I'm an avid smoothie guy and make them at home all the time. Whatever juice you want this place will provide. You can have fruits or veggies. Jamba Juice also has bowls which is a blend of real whole fruits, fresh greek yogurt and /or soy milk topped with an assortment of dry toppings and fresh fruits. I have not had the bowls, but I always see customers ordering them. My go to menu items are great greens pure juice, Apple and greens smoothie, and Kale and greens smoothie. I will start off by saying I am a HUGE Jamba fan. Growing up, it's what I would get after a hot practice after school and I continue to go regardless of what area I'm in...because I have my go-to drink and I can always rely on it. I wanted so badly to have a good experience and give the workers the benefit of the doubt. I usually go to the Jamba in Irvine because it is on my way to work, but I happened to be in Hollywood this morning and wanted my Jamba fix. However, I walked in and proceeded to stand there in front of the cash register for three minutes while the employees were standing in front of me making the drinks. I realized people were waiting. But it felt odd to me to not get so much as a "we'll be right with you" or "sorry for the wait". I work in customer service, so I get how it can get busy...but it's also a little inconsiderate. Upon completing my order, the cashier was mid-making another drink, so I was left awkwardly standing at the register, not knowing if he was going to give me a receipt. He finished the other drink, and came back to the register and just overlooked me and onto the next person. Ok, I guess no receipt then (or even offering me one). I was hoping that the drink would just solve this experience, and again I kept a chipper attitude and smiling face because who knows what people are going through. But I got in my car with my drink, and it was VERY bland. Felt like a lot of ice. I get this drink on the regular and it was more watered-down and lacked the flavor I know every other Jamba has given me.
