Stopped by on Friday night with a group of friends. I have always loved Baskin-Robbin's since childhood. The shop was empty but people started rolling in overtime. It wasn't in the most pristine condition - front door with sign saying "we don't have cash overnight", plenty of stains on the window shades, etc. The service wasn't terrible but the worker that helped me was a bit judgmental. I asked for cotton candy, and he said "are you sure?? that's just melted sugar. kids like it for the color." i proceeded to change my order to strawberry based on the comment (which i know shouldn't have influenced me but did). the strawberry was alright but had a slightly icy taste potentially from sitting in the freezer for a while. personally will not be returning to this location. read more

Came here on 10/11 during the evening. And the guy working did not attend us well at all. While the girl was clearly busy working on a task he just stood there staring at us from the corner distance. Went here to redeem my birthday scoop and the worker scans my app and says that its not working. He could clearly see the app and that it said it was for a free birthday scoop. Scans it again and says it doesn't work and that I should call customer service. I ask him what am i supposed to do now. And he says in the smuggest manner well you need to pay. I understand that but all he had to do was have some human empathy see that it is an error ok the apps part and put something in the computer and wish the customer a happy day. We just love Baskin-Robbins. It is always great. This one located on Western has very nice service and it is not usually too crowded. Like all B&R they have 31 flavors from which to choose, we have not tried them all. They have some great chocolate offerings. My favorite is World Class Chocolate. My grandson likes the sweeter ones, like bubble gum and rainbow. All of it is good. You can also order cakes there and you can have one made the way you want, that takes a couple of days or you can pick from the good selection they have there and they will write on it for you. They also have dairy free ice cream now. I have not tried it. Parking is easy on the street or the lot. Have fun. read more

Came here the other the night because the bf was craving a banana split. We've passed by this baskin robbins several times. Especially since it's on a busy street like Western. I've notice a lot of these places have closed down but some how this one has survived. I've had other "gourmet" ice cream in Los Feliz and Larchmont. But, i guess since baskin robbins is part of my childhood i always think it's better. I go for my usual one scoop of the chocolate chip cookie dough and the bf got his banana split. We were pretty satisfied and the staff was nice and friendly. The inside has changed, you can't sit inside from when we visited. Who doesn't love a long standing ice cream parlor place. I remember enjoying some birthday ice creams and/or ice cream cakes all throughout my youth before I became non-dairy, plant based and vegan, but even still Baskin-Robbins has kept up with the times... More of less but definitely regressed a little in 2020... Especially the B.R. of East Hollywood/Loz Feliz. I stopped in between errands to enjoy a scoop of hopefully some sorbet, but was told all the sorbet contained milk and even noticed they almost had zero dairy free options compared to other locations I've been to or even their competitors. The 'Scoops-AHoy" kind enough lass on duty let me know they now only had one dairy-free flavor Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (almond based)... I was really hoping for the Daquiri Ice or even the Watermelon Splash Ice... I've had the Daquiri a few times and am a fan.. I'm not big on their take on non-dairy cookie dough so it was a hard and easy pass. There were a group of customers when I walked in all together who got helped pretty fast. Not everyone had on their mask in the group... Hoping to get a bite or two in before stepping outside... I get that it's hard to enforce regulations, but ever little bit helps for places including Baskin-Robbins being able to operate in a more open capacity. I do appreciate the kind customer service and the health and safety practices they are following including signs, sanitizer, having a barrier "roped" off between customers and the glass displaces into those epic vats of ice cream, but if I can go to Ben & Jerry's and choose from 3 or more non dairy flavors of ice cream in person and like ten plus in the grocer store less than half a block away...I'm good. The parking lot is laughable, but then again it's frozen dessert so you really shouldn't be there forever. This is a long standing location with some sprinkles of charm and epic flavors that most would and will enjoy... Who know what the future might scoop up for the rest of us... read more

We order from here a lot. I got a premium sundae. Not even opened not a bite taken. Very inconsistent when it comes to what they put into the orders. Sometimes it's good and ice cream is at least to the bottom of the lid or more. Sometimes you get this where it is less than the bare minimum. In this situation half of the premium cup. Will stop ordering if this continues. When you go in person they fill it up but when you order for delivery they jip you. They don't take the brunt of it. The parking lot is trash - filthy, cramped, and populated by riffraff. I always somehow crash into the curb because the entrance area is the width of a Fiat. There's a new problem every visit - the credit card machine is down for the night, one of the freezers is broken and they have no ice cream, someone in the lobby is clearly considering a robbery. It seems filthy, the employees are miserable. Last night, my gf and I went and there was a new girl working who took several minutes to make each of our sundaes? She somehow struggled with the whip cream, then possibly (I couldn't tell for sure) used her finger to try to reposition the whip cream after it slid down the dome of ice cream? Just squirt on more whip cream? She then added hot fudge on top of the whip cream? Who doesn't know whip cream comes last?? Also our scoops required a magnifying glass to see, but as others have mentioned, we were not charged accordingly. And because it took so long for the employee to make the sundaes (as two more experienced employees stood by doing nothing), our "treats" were soup by the time we arrived to my half-destroyed car in the parking lot. So to sum it up, if you like to be ripped off, grossed out, tear the front bumper off your car, pay only in cash, and the idea of possibly even being murdered while getting ice cream on a Friday night sounds appealing to you, this is the place for you! read more

I hadn't been to Baskin-Robbins in at least 20 years, but then I noticed a sign advertising vegan options (or "non-dairy" to use their term) and had to give it a shot. This particular location has the brightest fluorescent lights you've ever seen. Make sure you have sunglasses while you're in there. I got a double scoop of their two vegan options ($5): chocolate extreme and cookie dough. The chocolate extreme tasted artificial while the cookie dough was tolerable, if slightly too sweet. Both had good texture, though. While I couldn't ever recommend Baskin-Robbins over a place like Van Leeuwen, Gelato-Go, Craig's, Small Batch or Yoga-Urt, it's a sign of the times that the old BR is becoming vegan-friendly. read more

STAY AWAY! I arrived at the Baskin Robbins on western at 6:45 to get the cake I ordered and paid for online to receive the image below. I understand that sometimes the picture can be grainy. However, I called the location and asked if the picture sent was ok, and she said "if there's a problem we'll call you." I said "thank you" so you would imagine how I felt when I came to pick it up an hour before the bday party. It has no writing on it?! Someone printed this picture and thought this was acceptable?  Anyways, as I waited there for the employee to call up Farid and find a resolution, the manager explained that "I could pick up the cake tomorrow." Walked into this store and the cashier immediately asked "how can I help you?" A really weird way of welcoming customers. I felt really awkward walking into this store just a block away from my place. I asked the server about some items on the menu and kept asking "excuse me?" like she has a hearing problem or something. She was very unhelpful and she had this really sad attitude like she didn't belong there and that she hated her work. I was appalled by the treatment I received and will also post this on other web review sites as I will be unwilling to come back to this business establishment location. On top of having what I would consider higher pricings for smoothies as I would assume due to inflationary prices, I still do not believe that my purchase was worthy of a good review in terms of the lack of customer service received from the store associate and the high price ranges of the product being sold with substandard quality deems necessary to place this on the low review range. So it was a real surprise to walk in, order ice cream, and have the owner who has worked with me on many occasions accuse me of bringing in a duplicated credit card because it wasn't working with his really old and broken down card reader. He acted as though he was catching me doing something. I'm not sure what the point of this was - as I've said I've bought ice cream there on and off for 6 years. He looked very smug and proud of himself and when I said 'This is rude, the problem is your card reader, not my card,' he refused to apologize. I was there today with my sister 09/28/17 around 5:30 - 6:00 pm, we each ordered ice cream to go and we each had different 2 cups and we ate it in the store. While eating i noticed something really heavy and i almost shocked while eating!! I looked it was a piece of METAL!!! Not a small one a big one!! I have absolutely no clue how this thing happened! How a clip of metal end up in my cup!! I went and i talked to the girl who was the cashier at that time, she said that she doesn't know how can this happen and I barely heard her since there was another client in the store!! I told her i almost shocked and I could've died if it was stuck in my throat.. she told her coworker and he quickly knew that it felt from the screw inside the fridge and into the ice cream bowl... 1-it is really surprising how fast he knew about it and how fast he figured it out.. as if he knew that it was there in the first place but didn't bother himself and removed it!! 2-the girl said that she can only refund me the price that i payed for that specific 1 scoop cup and give me another one.. she cant do anything else because her manager isn't there!! What kind of management is this!! I haven't heard of such a thing she didn't even bother herself and called the manager to see whats going to happen and find a solution!! And she didn't even took my name and my phone number so the manager can discuss with me regarding this issue!! 3- when i told her i want to take the metal clip piece with me they refused and didn't let me take it!!!
