After that it's about $5 for every additional 30 minutes. The café itself is cozy -- I even noticed they have curtains, which makes the space feel warmer and more comfortable. Our drinks were tasty and prepared well. The only downside was that it was quite busy and a bit noisy, but that's understandable since it's close to the university. Very, very slow service. If you order food you have to wait until a basket of hot food fills up before they bring it over, so in a lot of cases the food is cold. This Starbucks sucks! I came the other day with my mom, the line was short which was surprising, but good. The service was fairly quick, but nothing about our order was good. First off, the girl making the drinks clearly was just winging it and didn't know what she was doing. I ordered a double chocolatey chip, and the drink didn't really look chocolatey, more so like cookies and cream. When I tried it, it didn't taste how it should've either. It was gross and just full of whipped cream, definitely should've at least added more chocolate. My mom ordered a mocha cookie crumble, and that was disappointing. Didn't even taste a lick of mocha in the drink. When the drinks did come out, the girl said the order but like quickly and walked away. I asked her if she could repeat the drink because if it wasn't mine I didn't want to just grab someone else's, so when she repeated it she seemed to have an attitude and acted like she didn't want to. Like girl have a sense of customer service. Cause your attitude was just as bad as those drinks. I also ordered a ham & cheese croissant and couldn't even really eat it. I understand this Starbucks in particular would have crowds since it's one of the few in the area that accepts mobile orders. I waited approx 45 mins for my drink which was expected but they were really unorganized and I didn't receive my drink for another 10 mins after it was made since they couldn't locate it. Also, I asked for light ice as you can see from the photo but the cup is 3/4 full of ice. I understand I went during a rush hour, but the least they can do is get my order right. I was already so upset about having to wait an additional 10 mins and them getting my order wrong was the last straw. I felt bad having them remake the drink since all the workers looked stressed and I didn't want to wait even longer than I already had to. When they team took the time to use my first name several times, ask me about the reason we're visiting the area, and be so kind (and let's not forget, HUMAN) about forgetting to make my coffee), it just all falls together to make a really nice experience. We've been traveling all over LA county over the last few weeks and there IS an absolutely stark difference between this location and the others we've visited. The friendliness here, the overall service, great energy as soon as you walk in (huge, friendly greeting to all!), the cleanliness and the HOT HOT coffee. My friend had a delicious lemonade that she indicated was spot on. My turkey and provolone sandwich was heated up and was so good. JT also put in lots of cream, just as I'd asked/hoped for. We did walk in order and on-site sitting. Parking here is the only downside, but let's be real... we are located in the heart of the university district. So pedestrian walk-ins or pay for street parking are the norm. Lots of tables to sit at facing outside to the surrounding activity, pedestrians etc is nice. Just realized today that USC village has 2 Starbucks. If you order pick up, it's gotta be this one, NOT the Target one. The vibe is very nice actually. They clean the seating every single time a customer left (at least that's what they did when I was there). The staff behind the bar were not very responsive though.. I have ordered in person before, and depending on how busy it is, your order can be ready in anytime between 5-20 minutes. The interior is beautiful, the bathrooms are clean and spacious and there are semi private "desks" to work on. I love the vibe of the space and the high ceiling and there are more outlets than most other Starbucks. My biggest complaint was that I ordered 2 of the same drinks (cold brew pumpkin cold foam) and they both were noticeably different colors and tasted very different. Perla's energy was exactly what I needed when I came in today. Mondays are already super draining starting out the week but her energy was up and at em. I was a bit unsure what to try because I'm always trying to find something new, so the barista named Jose told me to try the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai since I've never had Chai before and let me tell you, IT WAS DELICIOUS. Literally like drinking a horchata but BETTER! Room for improvement but we only have two to choose from on campus. I normally order drinks (my way) so it's never straight off the menu as is. Came in on Monday and ordered my "Hot Girl Summer Lemonade" I normally show a photo of the order sticker in efforts to have my drink made correctly but this time, even with the sticker it was made wrong. No worries, I wasn't in a time crunch and it was pretty dead since students are gone for the summer so I didn't mind waiting for it to get remade. I ordered a Trenta lemonade easy ice with extra strawberry base, mango dragon fruit base, passion tango tea on top with a pump of classic. This drink is amazing and refreshing, the Trenta lasts me for some hours as I sip throughout my day...The first time it was missing the base and a pump of classic, so when they remade it they added the strawberry base and classic but forgot the tea. It was 0/2 today for the campus starbs . I didn't worry much because the manager was on site and told me to take both drinks! I couldn't be mad at that. However on a busy day when school is in session, this location frequently messes up orders and it would be impossible to wait for a remake especially if your on your way to class. read more

This Starbucks location has great vibes at any tim of the day! During the morning and afternoon you can be sure to expect hoards of students working diligently(?)! At these peak times it's pretty noisy and difficult to get a spot. The staff does a great job of maintaining the cleanliness of the coffee shop, which greatly contributes to the pleasant experience. Located @ USC Village, this is a nice one to go to...especially if you want to take your laptop and get some work done. Why? Because they have a few electrical outlets for charging your laptop. Many of the Starbucks in this area have nice seating areas, but don't have outlets to charge anything. This is my go-to starbucks near USC (mostly because I live less than 500 feet from it) for meeting up with people, rather than studying. There's not that much seating besides one large group table and a long table along one of the walls, (which seems like a lot, but on a college campus, it isn't really.) Ambience is on the louder side, but it's a very cute starbucks with smaller tables for just sitting and chatting, and one of those neon light signs reminiscent of urban outfitters. For studying you're better off walking about 1,000 feet away to the starbucks where cafe 84 used to be, because it retained its dining hall look and there't a lot more seating (albeit a lack of seating near outlets). However, I think the baristas at the USC Village starbucks (the one this review is on) are better trained than the cafe 84 baristas, unless they've improved since I last went. read more

I absolutely love this Starbucks at the USC Village. They are very clean,friendly, restocked, and their pastries are always warm. Their drinks come out in a timely manner so you are never there more than 5minutes (unless you want to be ). Their mobile app orders is probably faster than the in person order. I really do appreciate that they take their time to make a good drink and provide good service. This place is popular so during the school year, it does get very busy and crowded with students.
