SB in a prime location Figueroa and Exposition across from USC. Negatives are small size, too busy outside, crazy bums(I had to stand outside because one kept checking out my bicycle and I had a bag of merchandise, I just bought on it)and lack of seating. Also a security guard was just standing in the Starbucks ignoring another bum asking for money inside the SB(what's the point of the guard if he ignores customers being harassed). Note: I ran a food bank and been homeless myself. The issue is behavior not homelessness(I actually don't know if either bum was homeless as the govt. gives alot of lowlifes, drug addicts, "migrants" free housing in LA, while deserving veterans don't get housing). Love this location! I was really hot after the hurricane and a lot of people have been ordering drinks, but I got my delicious drink within a reasonable time of ordering in person. However, I do agree with the comments saying that mobile orders are a priority, as I saw an insane amount of drinks/food in the mobile order pickup section (pictured) on a Monday at 1:30pm. Not a lot of people study there because of a lack of seats, its more of a grab and go situation. If you go to USC and need quick service, go to this starbucks. read more

This is one of the Starbucks close to USC. There's one on campus and one a little further on fig on 28th I believe. I would say the one on 28th is better. Not only because of the size of the place but because they have their own parking lot. This Starbucks is small (as most are, so that's ok), but they don't have bike parking outside and to park you have to park under the Icon plaza which is in between Pizza Studio and the Radisson. I always get a venti green tea frappe wherever I go just because it's the drink I always get. Hot or cold, don't matter. But the one that this place makes tends to always be more watery than a smoothie like form so it melts faster..... You need a code to use their bathroom, but if you just ask the cashier they are more than happy to give it to you. read more

This particular Starbucks is located right on the corner of Figueroa and Exposition close to the Marshall School of Business. It's great for USC students, as well as others in the university area. Starbucks is never my first choice for coffee, but it's very convenient and the mobile app is great. I frequent this Starbucks almost every day, because it's close to my parking garage and close to my classes in Fertitta. Everyone who works here is pretty friendly, and manage to remain friendly, especially for how busy they are at all times of the day. However, sometimes I'll be at the bar waiting for a mobile order for a LONG time and no one even approaches me or asks my name, which is frustrating because I've seen other patrons experience the same thing. In this regard, they could be a little more attentive or just say the mobile order isn't ready yet instead of what feels like ignoring paying customers. I really wanted to write this review to give a shoutout to Stephanie. The drink I always order is not on the menu and it's essentially a double shot of espresso with vanilla, but a lot of baristas do not know how to make it. I was here the other day and had mobile ordered my drink. Stephanie (who is ALWAYS working) knows me/my order and realized it was made incorrectly. She re-made it for me before even handing it to me and asking if it was correct. It meant a lot to me that she took the time to do that and she displayed awesome customer service. She's a wonderful addition to this Starbucks. Thank you, Stephanie! I wish they had more seating besides just the bar stools, however I do realize it's a very busy location and it's not necessarily meant for sitting and hanging out for a long time. If I have time before class, I will sit at one of the bar stools and do work. It's not one of the warmest/homiest Starbucks I've been to, but it's fine for what it is and they play good music. I live upstairs in so having a quaint Starbucks just down the elevator (no, i don't take the stairs) is absolutely grand. Since the seats are mostly facing out the window, this is not a place to "people watch" necessarily unless you're concerned about the people passing by USC outside. It's more of a study spot, and it tends to be more quiet than the Starbucks at University Village. There's a cool little outdoor area that faces the corner of Fig and Expo, so you can probably People Watch there if that's your thing. I give this place 3 stars because the baristas, though VERY friendly, don't know how to steam the milk for my foamy cappuccinos. read more

This Starbucks is located near USC and is a great addition for students and non students alike! There isn't too much seating but there was definitely some seats in which I saw students diligently working. The overall ambiance was very good compared to other Starbucks I've been to. There is a lot of open light with high ceilings to create an inviting environment. The service is very fast and friendly! The drinks were made pretty well, so no complaints there. This is really your average Starbucks, but because it's right across the street from USC, it's constantly under heavy foot traffic. While this is good for business, it's not ideal as a customer, especially being such a small location with a less than ideal floor plan. I've never felt like there's enough seating/outlets to sit & do work. It feels cramped & it's loud, so I always get my food to go & head onto campus to find a study space. The service is consistently pretty solid. I've yet to have this location mess up one of my orders. And despite the heavy foot traffic, they tend to get your order out faster than one would expect from Starbucks. The décor is clean, modern, with rustic touches, much like any other Starbucks. The huge windows let in a lot of light, but also a lot of noise. The Exposition & Figueroa intersection is large & busy, so it feels a lot noisier & more hectic than it probably actually is. If you need to grab a quick drink/snack, this will meet your needs, but don't expect to spend much time here. read more
