It's such a shame that I had a bad experience here. I just moved in down the street and will be frequenting this location now, so I hope I won't have the same problem again. I came in on my way to work on Father's Day around 810am-ish. It was busy, of course. All of the baristas were working hard except for the lady working the frapp side of the bar. She kept stopping what she was doing to walk over to the other baristas, who continued working, to talk loudly with her hands on her hips while the cold cups kept piling up to be filled, guests waiting for their drinks. The worst part of the whole experience was when the lady's friend came in and she stopped, hugged him, and went outside to pet his dog. Seriously? I waited longer than I should have for my drink, even though I understand they were busy. I don't mind waiting if every barista is clearly working hard to get drinks out, but this lady didn't seem to care at all. Get a grip, please. read more

Ok so i went to this Starbucks today and I ordered a mango, orange, banana smoothie. (the usual) When I got my drink it only tasted like banana so i told the barista about it and she just said sorry and didn't even offer me another drink. I decided to let it go because it's not worth making a scene about but what really bugged me was that just a few minutes later a man complained about him not liking his coffee and the barista made him another one, took it to his seat, and said that if he still didn't like it she would make him whatever else he ordered. I was so pissed off and i'm never going there again. Not sure if the barista didn't like me or if it was just plain racism. Not to mention that I'm Latino and the man was White. Just saying that the baristas should treat everyone the same. read more

I love their Chai, but the emotion stops there. It's a convenient location in the middle of Belmont Shore, but if you want real coffee, check out the Peet's kitty corner. The seating is fairly nice though: they have some seating outside, and seating indoors of course. I recommend their peppermint mocha: it's definitely unique and you can only get it at this time of year. read more

I can't complain! My drink was made perfectly and deliciously. The employees were nice. I used my Starbucks App. to pay and tip, which makes it so much easier. It didn't take long before my drink was in my hand after I ordered it... and it's a Saturday! Fairly busy. So, five stars! Always crowded. I only come here if I get a gift card. I don't really like the "burnt" typical Starbucks flavor. I usually just order a blonde or light coffee but sometimes I get an iced tea which is really good. Everyone that works there is pretty friendly. If I had to choose I would go across the street to Pete's. Less crowded and better coffee. read more

I came here the other day after going Kayaking @ Alamitos Bay. I'm addicted to starbucks for some reason or another...so I am always attracted to Starbucks instead of other coffee shops even though I still go to others as well. This one was quite spacious...no outdoor seating, except for a bench on the outside...the thing i liked was that they have stool seats at the windows and u can people watch while drinking your coffee:) I ordered a vanilla frappuccino with a banana and whip cream. The lady helping me was very nice, but the guy making the drink forgot my whip cream...however when I told him, he was really nice about it and gave it to me. I would come here again. read more

Rudest Starbucks staff I've ever encountered. After waiting more than 10 minutes for an iced tea lemonade the barista handed me a green tea. When I told him it was supposed to be an iced tea lemonade he didn't even acknowledge me. He just looked at what was written on the cup and took it back, making me wait another 5 minutes for the correct drink while he made other drinks for people who had come after me. When he finally got around to making my drink he put it in the counter and threw down a straw saying 'iced tea lemonade' as if he didn't know who it belonged to. The rest of the staff were ambivalent at best and clearly didn't care to provide a good experience for their guests. Not coming back to this location, that's for sure. read more

Pretty nice Starbucks compared to most, cool design and in a prime location. With that being said its always always busy. There are hardly any places to stand when you are waiting for your drink. There's a patio outside, however this is a popular spot for people to post up at with their dogs. It's a popular study spot as well, to say the least I get my drink and go. Took over an hour to get my order. They 'forgot' a couple dozen orders and neglected to tell us.

my local starbucks. i spend way too much money here... pros: the service the fact that i always get my table with the outlet how i am a "regular" and the employees remember my boyfriend and i the delicious bagels, oatmeal, and coffee/tea... as much as you hate on starbucks, you have to admit it's freking delicious!! cons: how busy it is. its annoying because people are approaching me to ask me questions anywhere from hitting on me to a tutorial on how to use a mac computer... i guess the location of my favorite table has a lot of foot traffic... the pros outweigh the cons, for sure. the baristas are the best. they have been moral support for me while i spend countless hours and full days there getting work done. thanks for the internet and caffeine, starbucks! read more

I've never been a fan of Starbucks. I feel the prices are too high and the portions are too small. And I never walk away with my coffee satisfied. Plus, it's always crazy busy inside not only in this Starbucks, but EVERY Starbucks and I can't understand what the big deal is. I'll go here if there are no seats available at any other coffee place, but it's honestly my last resort. read more

I like this location more, now that they have redone the interior. The space is a little more open. There are some comfortable chairs at the front for reading. There are not very many tables and the high table with stools is not a great working space. But the patio area is spacious and great because the views and weather are always nice in Belmont Shores. The service is pretty good. Sometimes take a little longer then other locations, but I would go back because it is clean. There isn't much parking, so expect to do some walking. read more

I always like this location of Starbucks on 2nd St. Don't know why there's 2 of them on 2nd St.,but oh well this one is remodeled and has more seats in-store and out. I also don't know how people can be there hours at a time either studying or staring at their computers and pretending to be in deep thought.lol I also like that they have a good sized bathroom. Really poor service. Being in the food industry service I understand how it is but there's still certain amount of respect you need to have for your customers. Don't leave them hanging at the register and just walk off without acknowledging you're doing so, and don't leave them hanging at the register waiting around to be noticed. I would have rather had good short conversation at the register or have been asked how's your day going then to have waited less than a minute for my drink. Management please pay attention to who you are hiring! You have a good location and a name brand to lure customers in but you still need to have beyond great customer service to really exceed your sales. read more

I like this Starbucks. It is conveniently located close to where I live. There is a nice area outside to sit and people watch. I usually get the grande breve caramel macchiato with extra whip in the morning and the peppermint hot chocolate in the evening so I am not awake all night long. Ordered a medium latte with hazel nut and whipped cream. When I got my coffee I sat down and took off the lid. Errr...there was no whip cream! I decided not to mention it because they were really busy. I did ask one of the girl for ice water. She responded that I would have to wait cause she's making drinks and get my water at the end of the rotation. She disappeared and 10 minutes later I'm standing in the long as line again for ice water. Customer service sucks! read more

As a regular daily user I feel I have a big enough sample size to give a warranted review. Say what you want about the , but for me it's the constant familiar fix I'm looking for to stay my day. What makes this Crackbucks stand out is the customer service. Even with lines of people constantly bombarding the baristas, they keep the lines moving with a smile on their faces. I'm not going to sit here and stamp and pout about the obvious problem here, nor am I going to pretend like taking my business will in turn hurt the company, let alone this store. At this store alone, I've had mobile orders completely forgotten, waited 25 mins for a drink, had endless drinks messed up, and to that I say, it happens. I will however agree with the masses on this one that the overall attitude of the baristas at this store is unacceptable. I'm not asking for you to remember my name or even my drink. I'm asking you to treat me like a human being, a paying customer, a fellow customer service worker. I've seen some customers step way out of line, and I go out of my way to be nicer than the nicest customer I've ever served for this very reason. Word of advice for management: prioritize engagement, bring back the third place environment, and for siren's sake, hold your staff accountable for customer service interactions. This Starbucks location is pretty great. I've visited this location multiple times. It's in the heart of 2nd street in Long Beach, so parking can be a bit cumbersome depending on when you come here. If you find parking in the evening, parking is free after 7PM (I think), or else your stuck having to pay metered parking. Once in the venue, it offers limited seating inside and outside. Charging ports are also limited, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if your laptop isn't already charged. Service is usually pretty quick and efficient. I've noticed that the evening team is a little short staffed, but they get orders out pretty quick. That part that I love about this location is that t hey serve Starbucks reserve coffees, which are seasonal rich premium blend coffees. Not all locations carry this coffee, so it's pretty nice to have this one near me. Overall a great Starbucks, will be back here many times! read more

Bad vibe here, and poor service. This place is always overcrowded. It takes forever to get coffee or breakfast, and none of the baristas seems to be very happy. There are a ton of other coffee places more deserving of business than these guys and I will definitely be frequenting them more often. read more
