My husband drinks black coffee, no syrup no sugar, no foam no whip no anything However, it is the best available drive-thru coffee (we have a McDonald's next to the Starbucks as well) Due to my lifelong Hindu vegan diet and naturally zero "sweet tooth," not even the new vegan Ben and Jerry's or Baskin-Robbins sorbet, I simply cannot put anything "mildly sweet in my mouth without being nauseous, but I bake Ed's perfect cookies, perfect Pecan Pie, perfect Morning Cake cake etc for him upon request. Always a vegan version. After roughly 40 years, I had my very first celebrated vegan "breakfast sandwich" I tried taking off the vegan sausage, egg and vegan cheese and it was basically microwaved bread, for which I believe EVERBODY prefers pan-fried or toasted for bread with butter Starbucks, simply for their "high status" and better coffee than McDonald's, has earned their one singular star Service at drive-thru BLOWS. One cannot or a simple Black Coffee without 1000 questions about what foam, what syrup, any whip and do you want to pay with the app etc etc etc Much easier for me to just park there while Ed goes in - drive-thru customers first nevermind actual physical customers thanks to Starbucks NEW new CFO Back in the 90s, I believe that Friends' TV show Central Perk was modeled after Starbucks, when they used to have sofas and sofa tables and the non-current key required restrooms. As a non caffeine beverage consumer, my husband could enjoy his coffee and I had a selection of my flavored sparkling water (to which I always added coka from Ed's flask from my purse lol) Plenty of room for others on the sofa (this was a landline only, pre-Internet age, and we always had very nice vocal conversations with total strangers. Traded many now-obsolete phone numbers and many friends whom I called and whom called my husband or I. 2026, and essentially still White-only customers and patrons. After being a LONG TIME Starbucks customer, I've consistently received incorrect orders even though my orders are simple (coffees with steamed milk and sugar). The sugars are usually forgotten. Not sure how that error occurs so consistently. Recently, customer service has taken a huge dive. I'm aiming to spend the last $0.30 on my rewards card before closing out my accounts for good. I'll instead be patronizing their competitor across the street, and other businesses who are enthusiastic about servicing customers. read more

I've been here several times this week and they are always backed up and if you order on the mobile app its no better. The service is slow. I waited close to 10 minutes here. I would only order here again if have the time. As far as the drinks, they're too strong. Don't go here if you have even the slightest modification to a drink order. One of my favorite drinks is a medicine ball tea, minus the mint. I'm happy to pay for the full drink. Every other Starbucks I've ever been to has had no problem with this request. Twice now I have been told that I buy it with the mint or not at all. I've asked if they could just give me the tea packs and I'll put the peach one in myself and toss the mint. I've clarified that I don't need two of the peach tea, one is fine. This is my favorite Starbucks ever I swear. I love being greeted by Danny at the drive-thru window. He has the perfect amount of energy that could pick me up even if I have a groggy morning. They know my order by heart and they cooperate well when menu changes happen. They are happy to give recommendations, I really am happy with the way I take care of me. I don't like their district manager, however. When Starbucks discontinued the hot passion Tango Tea, the team at the Starbucks was willing to make things work by steaming the ice version of the tea to help compensate for the discontinuation of the actual tea bag. After 2 weeks being that I'm a regular there, the team informed me they could no longer accommodate me and that the only alternative was to get the iced version. When it was blistering cold in December, I certainly don't want to drink an iced tea. I was very disappointed with the way the district manager stepped in. I wound up going to work having to drain my tea into a mug and heat it, only to pour it straight back into the cup I was provided. I pay for convenience. That's what this is all about. so the fact that the district manager made a big deal over his associates using a steamer for a customer is beyond me. So, I finally found a Starbucks on my way to work that isn't just a drive-thru, which means I can sit down and relax with my drink before venturing out in the cold again. Unfortunately for me, this is one of those locations that pays more attention to the drive-thru customers than the people who walk inside. I get it. The drive-thru line is looooong. But patrons that venture inside need equal attention! The few of us people that decided to order inside waited a loooong time. I even got my food before my drink, which is kind of unusual. And oh, actually, MY sandwich was placed in someone else's bag. They caught the error before she left. And both of us stood another three minutes waiting for a drink after the baristas asked us again what we ordered. Not cool. There wasn't enough time for me to sit down and take a few sips of my drink. Once I got my drink and my food, I rushed out the door to get to work on time. (Then my car died... but that's another story.) The location is OK. Plenty of seating. Quiet. Typical Starbucks. The wait inside and the drink mix-up wasn't cool. I'm guess it's better during less busier hours. read more

This Starbucks location is close to my work so I come here often and the service is always very fast whether I'm getting just a drink or food as well. The staff is always very friendly and try to have small talk if my order isn't ready right away even though it usually is. When I ask for light ice in my latte they always do it which some locations just ignore that and give a bunch of ice which is frustrating. read more

This Starbucks is the location closest to my home. It is a teeny Starbucks in a strip mall with a Heavenly Massage, Apollo Gyros, and some other stuff. They do have a drive-thru....which is always a positive in my book. During the summer there are tables to sit outside and listen to the North Ave traffic whiz by. I frequent this location because it is close to home, has free wifi, and normally isn't crowded. It is a great spot to get some work done on the laptop. The service here is friendly and I have never received an incorrect order at this location. Of course, I have some issues with this one. 1) The window for the drive-thru is the correct height for a semi or lifted truck. If you have a compact car, it is difficult. 2) This location is teeny tiny. If a couple of minivans full of girls going to dance competition show up....run away. 3) To be fair, this is an all Starbucks issue. How do you order a chai tea? Whenever I order it they assume I want a latte. Overall, I continue to come back. I especially love the $40 mug you can buy in December. You get free brewed coffee or tea (bag) fills for the month of January. WOOHOO! read more

I love Starbucks, and ever since I worked there awhile back, I have been addicted (probably literally). I live in Lombard, so the closest Starbucks is the one at North and Grace, like a mile from my apartment. It's pretty new, and is convenient to have. However, the service...is...so...slow. I have had a couple of drink mess-ups too, but the baristas are really friendly, so I'm not deterred from going there (and I'm not about to drive to Glen Ellyn just for a coffee when there's a Starbucks right here). I just know to leave an extra 10-15 minutes if I'm headed somewhere afterward. Also, they don't carry bagels! A nice substitute is a croissant with cream cheese. It sounds gross, but I promise it's great. Not a bagel, but great. read more

Not a lot of love for this location huh Yelpers? My experience (whether drive thru or sit in) has been just fine. The Baristas are pretty nice for the most part. Bad service? maybe once or twice during in all of my visits. There's a basket of crayons and stacks of paper/coloring pages for the kid to occupy himself so I can sit and enjoy my drink. Honestly every time I come here the baristas are sweet. I usually come in the evenings and they always are so nice! They have never gotten my order wrong and they always help if I have questions. I'm deducting one star because this drive thru is slow. It does take a while to get my drink even if I'm the only customer in the drive thru. Every time I go in there's always 2-3 people just standing around & 1 person working their ass off to fulfill all the drink orders. On my latest visit the ginger at the register asked for my drink order then proceeded to tell me to hold on, walked to the back, & said "you have a customer!" So someone else walked up to the register, retook my order, & swiped my card. Really? The best part - whilst waiting for my drink, the ginger showed just how much he really hates his job & broke a glass. Super. Super disorganized & really rude/terrible/incompetent staff- especially "new" brownhaired bespectacled girl working register at 10am on Sun 3/3- please train your staff to exercise some thought- she doesn't know difference between tall & grande, or lemonade vs tea, or what teas have run out (store actually only had one available- at 10 in morn- super sad), & she had a patronizing, arrogant attitude to boot. Great combination! Will not be back! Hope y'all go outta business- Peet's & other companies waaaaaaay better. Never in my life would i think i would be a person to review a starbucks but then again Never in my life would i ever expect an americano to take 18 minutes. How hard is it to pull 2 shots of espresso. There were 4 drinks in queue prior to mine. 4! Seriously this location needs some major revamping. No one behind the counter was helping each other. I heard the only competent guy ask for someone to help with the register. And then he then helped with the bar. There was some chick behind the counter just walking around. Clueless i tell ya. The folks here are friendly and I haven't had any order slip-ups when I've gone to this location. My only issue is that it just seems to be super slow, even going through the drive-through. I do realize that drinks need to be made but I always experience a longer wait at this specific location than I have at the other location I go to frequently (Wheaton Town Square). I'll continue to go but I know that if I am in a hurry, I either have to leave more time or just not go to this location. read more
