We ordered two drinks: a salted caramel cold brew for my wife and a flat white for myself. The cashier accidentally rang up my wife's drink as a salted caramel matcha instead, which wasn't a major issue since she enjoys matcha anyway, but I do wish they had read the order back to us to avoid the mix-up. Fortunately, the salted caramel matcha turned out to be a happy surprise, and the flat white was solid, if a bit ordinary. Since we visited on a weekday, it wasn't too crowded, and we were able to find a comfortable spot to sit. We really liked the branding and appreciated having this cozy little nook inside the largest mall in the region.

I haven't been to a location in almost 10 years so suffice to say I was very excited to come back! I got my usual signature berry bliss waffle and it was delightful. However it was outshined by the strawberry colada smoothie that was DEMOLISHED. My husband killed the cookie dough waffle, he got an espresso, and I ordered a side of bacon and another smoothie to go it was THAT GOOD!! I'm pretty sure we were greeted by the manager and assistant manager. Great service, great and BUSY location (I suspect they all are like this. They're just wonderful!) My husband said I didn't overhype it (even though I was drooling while I was describing this place to him lol) that it was a good call and he would go again. :) We'll see you next time! Our Experience was good, not great…read more We did some research about all of the local ice cream places and our kids picked Kurimu because it seemed to be the most unique. Initial impression wasn't great... The smell was really the main reason why. The shop itself definitely had a smell, I can't really describe what it was but it was not pleasant. There was one person working, he was polite but did not have much personality. Most of our questions were met with him telling us that we ordered "over there" as he points to the register. It just did not have a very welcoming energy. Only of our kids got ice cream as the flavors did not catch them like they had hoped it would. My Youngest got a coconut ice cream with waffle cone (she loved it), it was a subtle coconut flavor but very refreshing. My oldest daughter got a match drink w boba, hers was also good but not her favorite. I ended up getting the soft serve mix (Tofu/Black Sesame) which was definitely unique and I did enjoy it but no one else i was with did. After checking out, we were offered free stickers which was a nice gesture and I talked about their Japanese Car theme which seemed to liven up the man working momentarily. My family was not impressed but I enjoyed the experience. Very unique compared to what we are used to seeing. I would most likely return, but I am not confident my family would follow.

However, we came back because we've been the other first watch locations and truly enjoyed the food. Our waiter this day was super nice and friendly, so no complaints whatsoever and the food came out very quickly. My only complaints here have been perhaps I've only realized it now is that they give you the coffee carafe they give you the water Kara and then you have to further serve yourself for the rest of the meal. Then, if you have leftovers, they give you the box and you have to go pack it yourself. If I have to do this amount of work myself, then why am I tipping a server who only came to actually take my order because I completely different group of people actually brought my plates and a completely different group of people cleaned off the table and the plates. Wow, this is not necessarily a crime or unique to first watch. I will say that delicious food is only enhanced by incredible service and experience. So they really need to up their game.
