Happy Holidays. While I live in the area, I often don't find the time unfortunately to stop here. Out tonight with some time to sit and actually enjoy a coffee. This location is small but full of warmth. Staff is super nice and friendly. Coffee to heat you up as the temperatures drops. I did walk in right before closing not aware of when they shut the doors. Staff showed incredible patience and kindness to an elderly woman who struggled with her order in front of me. Just what you'd hope for during this season. Cheers!

Not a big fan of Starbucks. And this one is so... Sub-urban. Just got 2 flat whites (because the SB lattes are horrible) Each one made by a different "barista". One decent, the other horrible. So, this is what you should expect when coming to this location of SB. Unfortunately, it's the only game near my next appointment. Sad face.

Venti sized cold brew. More like Iced cold brew. Took three sips and it was gone. Make sure to ask for no ice

This is my least favorite Starbucks in the greater Princeton area. The staff is kind of irksome.

Great Starbucks with friendly staff! I come here at least once a week. Lots of seating options, even for a small-ish store.

The avocado toast here doesn't just come with a side of pretension, it comes with a full dissertation on the spiritual journey of the avocado from tree to plate, and here's where this bougie fever dream takes a turn into the Twilight Zone: I ordered a latte and it came with a complimentary spritz bottle of hair spray. Not as a mistake. Not as a prank. As if the barista thought, "You know what this oat milk cortado needs? A little Aqua Net for volume." I'm talking actual aerosol hair product, like they confused the espresso machine with a salon chair. The truly maddening part? The hair spray latte was genuinely delicious. It was like discovering your car runs better on maple syrup. So naturally, I returned, desperate to recreate this bizarre caffeinated styling experience, only to receive lattes so aggressively sweet they could put a hummingbird in a diabetic coma and tragically, hair spray-free. Apparently, achieving the perfect balance of espresso and Aussie Scrunch Spray is an art form that cannot be replicated. I'm now stuck in this kafkaesque loop, forever chasing the dragon of that one perfect chemically-enhanced coffee, while surrounded by women named Brynleigh discussing their juice cleanses.

But I have eaten at this chain while traveling in New Jersey several other times. I receive coupons in the email, and just happened to have a five dollar off coupon that expired in a few days, that arrived in my email shortly before my travel occurred, which is why I chose to visit this location. I came on a busy Saturday at about 11:45 and because I was by myself I was able to get the last seat at the counter, otherwise the wait was 35 minutes or more for groups of two or more people. I ordered the kale juice which was kale, apple, lemon & was yummy. I ordered the summer special lobster avocado toast with 2 eggs over easy. The servers & all staff were very busy but pleasant. My meal was good, no complaints & they did have 2 nice chunks of real lobster meat on the thick whole grain toast. The only problem came when I went to use my coupon, they asked for my phone number which I gave them. And then they told me I was not in the system. Then they asked me if I could login on the app in which I told them I didn't know if I had the app because I don't have this restaurant locally and I only eat here maybe once a year but clearly the coupon had come to me in my email, and was due to expire on July 31 and this was July 25. Even though it was only five dollars it was the principle of I would've eaten somewhere else if I could not use this coupon. So although they were busy, I could tell that they were kind of annoyed that they had to go in the back and asked the manager and then there was some big production of having to enter my email and phone number into the app. This all seemed rather ridiculous considering most places if you have a coupon and it doesn't work and it's legitimate they can just take five dollars off your bill at the register not sure why that was not possible? Anyway, in the meantime of them going to the back, I managed to find the app get into it. Enter my phone number and email reset a password and then it showed that my coupon was in the app. Long story short I did get the five dollars off of the meal and then handed a five dollar bill to my server as her tip. This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch and I believe it closes at 3 PM. It does get very busy weekend mornings. It's similar to a First Watch cafe if you are familiar with those.

One of the eggs oozed uncooked egg whites, which you can kinda of see in the picture, but translucent whites were very apparent upon first cut. Potatoes were very salty, likely from heavily salted water. My partner had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and only ate one of three because it was dry and dense. On the flip side, my in laws enjoyed their french toast and waffle. Overall food was very hit or miss, okay for some, but wouldn't go out of my way to brunch here.

It's not the place I go to when looking for a life-altering culinary experience--I go there when looking to feed my face fast and move along with my mission. I usually get one of their savory pastries or a croissant, or perhaps a pain au chocolat if the urge hits me. They all taste okay, and they get the job done. The only thing I've had there that was a definite "Never Again" was the hot dog--a desiccated disaster in every way imaginable. On the flip side, the cheese quiche has been a winner those times I had it. It didn't take me back to the Alsace, but it was better than average. I had some cake from here recently. Visually, it looked fantastic, and the interior was moist (dry cake is a crime!), and it had all kinds of chocolate on it and in it, but the flavor was just "good". My socks remained on after tasting it. It was like they left the something special out that would have taken it from good to memorable. It looked great, but the taste didn't quite live up to the visuals. I'd eat it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it for someone's birthday. The people working there are nice, but it can be a bit slow sometimes to make it through the register during the breakfast or lunch hours, especially if there's an indecisive person in front of you who changes their mind every fifteen seconds while picking up some pastries for the office, and she's oblivious to the five people waiting in line behind her. Although it's not the sort of place that's going to me primary destination, I'll keep on going here when I'm starving and need something to get me through my trip to the Home Depot. It gets the job done.
