Starbucks is now a hardcore caffeine delivery system with little time for leisure and idle chit chat. In that vein, this very busy location in Lawrenceville moves the liquid merchandise with ferocious efficiency. The conga line moves in real time and my burnt, bitter java is in my hand and out the door in under ten minutes. That my friends is entirely worthy of four stars. They seem to always get my drink order wrong. I get a cold drink when i order hot. i always use almond milk since i am lactose intolerant and had my drink made with milk one time. I feel the employees rush to make the drinks and do not pay close attention to the order as it prints out. read more

This Star$$$ sits in the Mercer Mall next to the Verizon Wireless store. It is a small café with limited indoor seating offset in nice weather by the outdoor option. However, like many of this franchise, the tables are often occupied for long stretches by folks claiming them as personal property. Thus, most of us are plumb out of luck if we want to enjoy our Chai Lattes on site for a few minutes. Add the restricted parking, and this place becomes an inconvenience. The product is as good (or bad) as any other Green Mermaid. To me, that means the regular coffee is undrinkable due to the harshness of the bean; requiring a perverse upsell to make it potable. Yes. I succumb to it, too. The bakery stuff is pretty good, as is the breakfast menu. If you are lucky enough to find a place to park, and a place to sit, this is not a bad location due to its proximity to many other retail shops. Quite nice to shop and sip. DONT be fooled by Social Distancing because you have a Drive -thru. My experience This morning (sat. May 23,2020) between 7:35 -7:50 am. MANAGEMENT PLEASE LOOK AT VIDEO The Attendant was using a mask and gloves .. GREAT .. My concern is on what followed.... BLACK Jaguar - Using no gloves nor mask placed order . I was the white car behind. I ordered a venti coffee . The Jaguar receives a Venti cup (Cup 1) ... After 10 -15 seconds they return it and the attendant accepts it . (Cross contamination opportunity #1) A cup is returned to the Jaguar about 15 seconds later . As second Venti cup is given to the Gloveless and Mask-less Jag driver .. who after 10 seconds AGAIN returns the Venti cup to the attendant who accepts it .... (Second cross contamination opportunity) .. did the persons in the car cough on it , taste it ?????? Seconds later a venti cup is handed back to the car ... My turn to pick up my Venti Cup (I would have to be Crazy .. to accept it or Anything) ... I approached the window to INFORM the attendant that what was done was wrong and that I was not interested in any coffee...... The response I got was .... "the problem with them was that THEY GOT THE the wrong order" ( Probably mine) ... BUT I can prepare you a new one ...... WHAT if I would have not said anything .....WHOOOO and behold .. I was almost about to get the BLACK JAGUAR BREW and who knows if COVID-19 on the side ...... STARBUCKS ....... I blame 1) the driver for not wearing protection .... I also blame him for returning the items in a disregard for the employees health AND THAT OF OTHERS - TOTAL SNOB . I lost a heirloom necklace in this store. As soon as I walked out the door and realized it was not on my neck I turned around and went back to the store. They had locked the door behind me and refused to let me in. The next day the manager called to let me know they found it and to stop by later to come pick it up. When I came by later the next day, they couldn't find it and the woman behind the counter said she thought she saw a co-worker leave with it claiming it to be hers. They are thieves! read more

I go here pretttty often. As previously stated, a solid Starbucks. Like fine wine, a good Starbucks is aged... past it's younger years and mature. The baristas here are very friendly and make the drinks well. They also don't fuss when you walk in 2 minutes before they close... which is a rarity these days. Sometimes if the line at the Starbucks in QB Mall is too long, I'll stop at this location on my way home to get my fix. read more

Just stopped by for my birthday beverage and breakfast. I had the feta cheese wrap and caramel mocha with soy, and caramel drizzle. This was the Best feta wrap ive had so far!!! The service was excellent and everyone was nice. My drink Perfect! I love this location. The parking lot doesnt have much parking but you can always park near shop rite. read more

Just wasted just about a half hour of our life waiting for our drinks. My husband and I ordered 2 grande double chocolate chip Frappuccino's. I knew something was wrong when I seen the color but didn't taste it until we got to the car. They made us a Java chip. I hate coffee so the taste was repulsive. My husband went back in and had them remake our drinks. This time they came out the right color but again they put coffee in it. Totally disgusting. If my husband didn't have to go to work I would have went back in a 3rd time and demanded a refund. Instead we wasted our time and money on 2 nasty drinks we won't even drink. read more

The service here is one of the slowest I have experienced. I have been to this location a few times, each time I am amazed by how long everything takes. One afternoon not too long ago, I entered the store and saw a line, so I expected to wait for sometime. After placing my simple order for 1 beverage, I waited towards the pick-up counter. As people who ordered before me received their orders I began to get excited thinking "Mine must be next". The barista must have gotten the cups confused because 6 people who ordered after me received their beverages before me. After the 6th person received their order (which was similar to my order) I asked the barista if my cup was misplaced. He said "I know its here, I'm getting to it". He made 3 other drinks prior to making mine. People who walked in the store after me received their drinks before me. I've been in there a few times since and the service is always slow. Don't expect to run in and out of this store if you're in a hurry. Always plan to be in the store for at least 10 or more minutes. read more

Just like any Starbucks; usually fast and accurate service except for when there is a rush. But the staff, however, is not the most respectful and catering crowd. Usually when I go to Starbucks, the staff is so catering and nice to me beyond my expectations. On a particular day that I went, I asked the cashier for a more special request and he told me they could not do it(in not the nicest way possible), which is not a problem, but he is besides the point. The young man next to him said, quickly, "just ignore him". That comment is one of the most disrespectful comments I have ever encountered in a retail establishment. I am more used to encountering something like that in a McDonald's when the people there talk bad about me in Spanish unknowing that I understand what they are saying. But in a Starbucks of all places, which is seen typically at the pinnacle of class in a coffee shop. Now, I could understand more if the young man said quietly or in the back to the cashier to ignore me next time , which you should not anyway, but he did it right in front of me. For some reason he thinks that I did not hear him but I hope he hears the day from his boss after this inquiry. I am very displeased with this Starbucks experience and probably will not be back to this particular one. You can get a superb experience at either the market fair or Princeton Starbucks. Plus, Princeton Starbucks is open till 12:30 everyday so if your a night person like me, this is your bet. read more

This location suffers from poor parking, a cramped, uncomfortable interior and poor management. 530pm on a Saturday. The place is hopping. They consistently choose not to brew Dark Roast coffee (despite advertising it on their urns) and when you order it and they try to stick you with an awful Pike. No offer to do a pour over or brew a fresh dose of Gold Coast (my $2.45 will cover the cost of the whole thing...). Just a blank stare and shoulder shrug. And they let you say "No thanks. Forget it." and watch you walk out the door. Alternatives: Whole Foods has great cafe; Dunkin Donuts is NOT my favorite but their Dark Roast in good in a jam. I won't NOT go to Starbucks as I live in NYC but perhaps since they run things a bit different in Jersey...I'll just skip it when I visit. read more

This is probably one of the slowest Starbucks in the country. I went to starbucks at around 9 pm and there were only 2 people ahead of me. Yet, they took 15 minutes to take my order. There seems to be no sense of urgency in baristas. Tom makes good drinks but is so very slow. He is also very rude. He often makes the drinks out of order and when you correct him, he'll be rude and says It's coming. The baristas are not aware of the recipes of a lot of uncommon drinks but when someone corrects them they argue. My drink is usually no whipped cream but despite the fact that its written on the cup, I have to remind them. A barista named Katie never smiles at anyone, even when I am a regular and I say hi everytime. However, the redemption quality is that some baristas are the friendliest ever. Go there only if you have enough time. They'll make you wait to order and then double time to get your drink (that is if they get it right).
