They have the best food it's never overcooked. It's perfect, and they have snacks and their own gas station.

Great personal service. The staff is polite and smiling. Emille is the funniest cashier I've ever encountered.

It's not the place I go to when looking for a life-altering culinary experience--I go there when looking to feed my face fast and move along with my mission. I usually get one of their savory pastries or a croissant, or perhaps a pain au chocolat if the urge hits me. They all taste okay, and they get the job done. The only thing I've had there that was a definite "Never Again" was the hot dog--a desiccated disaster in every way imaginable. On the flip side, the cheese quiche has been a winner those times I had it. It didn't take me back to the Alsace, but it was better than average. I had some cake from here recently. Visually, it looked fantastic, and the interior was moist (dry cake is a crime!), and it had all kinds of chocolate on it and in it, but the flavor was just "good". My socks remained on after tasting it. It was like they left the something special out that would have taken it from good to memorable. It looked great, but the taste didn't quite live up to the visuals. I'd eat it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it for someone's birthday. The people working there are nice, but it can be a bit slow sometimes to make it through the register during the breakfast or lunch hours, especially if there's an indecisive person in front of you who changes their mind every fifteen seconds while picking up some pastries for the office, and she's oblivious to the five people waiting in line behind her. Although it's not the sort of place that's going to me primary destination, I'll keep on going here when I'm starving and need something to get me through my trip to the Home Depot. It gets the job done.

It's been around for several years, but I had never gotten around to visiting since it's in an odd location of a shopping complex that I rarely think of visiting for a meal. Unfortunately, I visited on a Sunday afternoon when they had taped a message up on the door that they didn't have a cook, so their kitchen was closed. Staff looked bewildered, explaining to me and several others that they were short staffed and couldn't serve food, but can do drinks & pastries. I figured I'd order a croissant to try them out, but the cashier refused to accept payment via the Inkind app, saying that all the other Bluestone Lane locations would take it, but they stopped accepting it. The encounter had all the hallmarks or a poorly managed business on the verge of shutting down. After my visit, I reached out to Inkind customer service, which must have followed up with the business and they insisted that Inkind is accepted at the Princeton location, so their employee who refused it was misinformed or just made up her own rules. Regardless, I won't be returning or recommending them to others due to such a poor first impression. There are better options for coffee and quick meal within a few minutes radius.

I was tired, slightly grumpy, and in need of caffeine the way a Midwestern city is in need of zoning laws. I ordered a flat white. It arrived eventually. The place was nearly empty, yet time still passed in a leisurely and philosophical way behind the counter. The staff, to their credit, were friendly and kind, as if they too understood that none of us had chosen this system so much as wandered into it. The drink tasted exactly like a flat white from any other Starbucks on Earth. Consistency is their miracle and their curse. One does not come here for revelation. One comes here to be caffeinated, and that mission was accomplished. I paid more than I wanted to for the experience, which is also a core part of the brand promise. I left warmer, more awake, and faintly disappointed.

It is located in the corner between Lowe's and Trader Joe's, the two anchoring stores in the strip mall. They share a spacious and free parking lot within the strip mall. Normally, I find most Starbucks to be aggressively average, but this location was better than what I've come to expect. I walked in and found a comfortable place to sit. Using their free Wi-Fi, I placed my order through the app and simply waited for my name to be called. While waiting, I took in the ambiance. This location felt warmer and more thoughtfully designed than many others I've visited. Some Starbucks feel like tables and chairs were simply dropped into a sterile space, almost like a hospital cafeteria. Here, there were comfortable chairs with cushions, warm lighting, and clean, inviting aesthetics that made it easy to relax. Here's what I ordered: A) Iced Banana Bread Matcha - 5/5 stars I requested no caramel syrup and substituted soy milk for regular milk. The result was smooth, balanced, and very enjoyable. B) Chocolate Pistachio Loaf - 5/5 stars I asked for it to be warmed. Often when pastries are heated, they can turn rubbery, but this one was beautifully toasted. The warming actually elevated the chocolate and pistachio flavors. The employees were generally pleasant. However, when I asked about a particular mug they had for sale, one employee seemed more absorbed in his electronic device than the customer in front of him. Without really looking up, he simply said, "I don't know." His dismissive manner put me off, so I placed the mug back, said "thank you," and left. Perhaps it was a one-off moment, but that interaction is why this visit earns 4 stars instead of 5.
