In December 2025, I visited this convenient Starbucks location at the corner of Route 206 and Gordon Ave (near the Lawrenceville School). Lots of pluses. First, it has a drive-thru window from its former life as a bank branch office. Second, the service here is friendly with a positive vibe. It's also a gathering location for the local community as well as a busy drive-thru option for commuters in the morning. Just ordered a matcha latte with an extra scoop of matcha which they apparently just put on top without blending it at all. Took a sip and gagged. All the matcha was on top, in chunks, not blended at all. I love matcha but straight matcha, undiluted powder is not anything you EVER want to consume. Incredibly bitter. Also I've ordered probably 100 matcha lattes from Starbucks and they always come with classic in them unless you specifically ask for it unsweetened. I asked for one pump of brown sugar syrup (to me it is implicit that this is in addition to the classic)... and the drink I received had absolutely no sweetener. Unfortunately this as a drive through and we were already down the road by the time I discovered how badly they had messed up my drink so we didn't return. I've been going to Starbucks for probably 20 years and they've never actually royally screwed up a drink like this. They didn't blend the matcha at all. Incredibly lazy and honestly feels like a big FU to the customer. AVOID. read more

So, when I first came to this place, the customer service and the quality of the drinks were pretty good. Since I have been coming here for the past couple of months for my mom's drink, it seems as though the quality of customer service and the drinks has gone down. I understand that working at a fast food place can get hectic at times and a person can get stressed out but that's not an excuse to trash talk the customers in the lobby or to make a no foam latte terribly every time I come here (there's either too much foam or the espresso is burnt, like they didn't clean the espresso machine prior to making the drinks). Two baristas in particular, Isabella and the dude with the khaki-colored hat, really need more extensive training before they can be at a drive through store because their customer service is really abysmal. It's like they are treating this place like it's some sort of assembly line with no care for the customers. Ambiance is okay. Just the customer service and drinks need to get better than this. read more

The made my venti coffee with steamed oat milk and liquid sugar so good and it was ready in a timely fashion. This location was not so packed and their bathrooms were cleaned. Although I got my coffee to go, the seating area was cute. Def would return! read more

I want to love this lil Starbucks because it's a great space to work, there's a real close tie to the community here...knitting clubs, compost bags of coffee grounds, community tables. I work in the area and typically stop here on my way to work. I used to stop in about 3 times per week but this has to be the slowest Starbucks on the planet. I use mobile ordering when I'm about 5-8 mins away (per the app, I'm not that precise about time) and then by the time I park and walk in it's been about 10 mins (sometimes longer). Inevitably when I get inside either none or only part of my order is ready. On average I'm left waiting another 10 mins for my drink. I mean, this place is super busy but 20 mins for a chai latte or a vanilla latte is crazy. I agree with another reviewer, customer service is non-existent here. They barely say names when they put drinks out so there's a rush of people manhandling all the cups looking for theirs. If you're stopping here make sure you have the time to wait and don't expect that old school Starbucks experience where they call your name or greet you. read more

This Starbucks location is by far one of my favorite locations! the drive thru lines go by extremely fast. The employees are always super nice, friendly, and engaging and my order is right 99% of the time. Make sure to get there a little early because they do tend to run out of some of their bakery treats quite fast depending on what day it is! This is my favorite Starbucks location at the moment. Just want to give a HUGE thanks to the folks at this location. My car died right in the drive thru(yay ). The manager and a few employees went above and beyond and helped move my car out of the way in 90+ degree heat. They were even kind enough to provide me with a coffee. This is in downtown Lawrenceville right on Rt 206 South. Went for a lunch on a Sunday. Was a little crowded, but the food was very delicious and the staff were very friendly---one of them helped us with the critical decision of choosing a sandwich for my wife who is very picky about food---and the sandwich was so good that the kids were fighting with their mom for it. Overall, very happy with our meal. Will definitely go back there. read more

It's still very new, but I'm a fan of this Starbucks. Great large space, super clean, generally positive staff. The open structure is great for kids who want to wander around. I wish there were more sockets, and the backup in the drive thru can slow down drinks for people in the store, but that's really not a big deal. read more

RE-TRAIN YOUR BARISTAS. One of the MOST ordered drinks, they can't get right. Got milk macchiato and managed to give me the wrong receipt. Perfect. I hate to say it but it ruined my day, almost went inside to get a refund but didn't want to be "rude". If someone is dropping $10 bucks on two cups of coffee, you need to get it right, especially when it's not rocket science. I went to this Starbucks location two days ago. I normally order an Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte and a warmed slice of banana bread and warmed pumpkin bread. My normal location always delivers quality. This location was suggested to me by a peer so I decided to give it a try. My iced latte was TERRIBLE. All of my Matcha powder was clumped together on the bottom of my Venti cup. I was drinking clumps of Matcha powder. My banana bread and pumpkin bread weren't warmed. This is all during COVID 19 so I was trying to keep my distance and not keep coming back and forth. I will never go back to this Starbucks ever again. read more

For some reason almost every time I order something with milk, the milk is bad and curdled at the bottom of my drink. I've told them a numerous amount of times about this problem and it has yet to be fixed. This location is only good for the drive thru and honestly that sucks too. read more

This is your typical Starbucks location but with a small town feel. It's 100% better than my last experience in Englewood, NJ. This place has a beautiful little patio on the Main Street of Lawrenceville. It is awesome for sitting outside and enjoying your cold drink on a good day. read more

A much bigger, newer, more modern location in the heart of Lawrenceville right across from Lawrence prep. They accept mobile orders here and there's a lot more seating/outlets than the ones in Princeton or WW. They also have a drive-thru here, two gender-neutral bathrooms, and a selection of "rare" roasts. I think only select Starbucks carry that new brand (it looks like a capital R with a star above it), and this has been the only one that I've visited that carries them. They had one from Brazil and one from Ethiopia, and I believe more are coming. Great location to study, mingle, or work (indoors AND outdoors). read more

Staff is great. Space is great. Products are, well, what you'd expect. Good and consistent. BUT...THE NOISE! YIKES! The floors are heavy duty engineered wood, and most of the chairs are metal frame with wood seats and back supports. Every time someone moves a chair, the scrapping of the metal legs against the floor is HORRENDOUS! And it reverberates because of the large, open space and high ceilings that makes this location unique. It makes it hard to relax, work, or converse, all the things we love to do at Starbucks! And what is SO FRUSTRATING is the fix is SO SIMPLE! Affix small felt pads to the bottom of the chairs! PRESTO! No NAILS ON THE BLACKBOARD LIKE SCRAPING THAT MAKES YOUR HAIR STAND UP ON END! I start every day with a stop at this Starbucks and have come to admire the employees professionalism and legitimate positive energy. Today I ordered coffee boxes to take to a flag football game over the phone. When I got there they had made bags of sweeteners, cups, large cups or milk and cream, napkins, the whole shabang without being asked for any of it. To top it off they had decorated the coffee boxes. This Starbucks is nice, with a great staff. However, the drive through tends to back things up inside big-time, and they usually only have 1 barista making the drinks! I have had to wait as long as 15 minutes for my drink, and as little as 5 minutes. If you want to come to this Starbucks I would suggest using the drive-through, as the indoor service tends to be slightly slower. As to the drink quality, I would say that it's decent. I had a frappachino once that had barely any ice and almost no flavor, but other times they've been outstanding. Overall, it's a great little place. read more
