Today's scam happened March 13 Friday. Been here a few times and had the same problem multiple times and today was the third and last strike for me. In the past I've bought drinks from the drive thru and it would cost around 10-15$ but then I'll see a 2nd charge in my bank account for the same amount. Before I would just be forgiving and say to myself they probably need the money more than I do. But today I actually parked and went inside with my daughter. Ordered 2 drinks around 1240-1245ish PM. The charge was around 13$. Sounds reasonable , but when I get home I see a second charge for 18$ which I never made. I'm tired of my money being stolen from this particular Starbucks branch. Definitely will not be coming back to this store. The lady from the register didn't even look at me after calling my name for the drinks. Anyone and everyone that orders here, always check your bank account right after, this needs to stop! read more

So we've been on a roadrtip for just slightly over 2 hrs with no STOPS were a lil tired so we wanted a starbiess and stretch our legs a bit. (We still have 3 more hours to go.... This was at 2:02pm 7/27/25 as I headed to the register the guys looked busy and instead of waiting around I asked for the bathroom code. Very rude and snotty he replies with Yeah you gotta buy something.... I said yes that why I'm here for and I said ok can I order ? Remember both employees were busy one was making drinks and the other taking out the trash. ... he proceeds to really loud say the code very annoyed by his tone. Kinda threw me off ok so don't take my order? Head to potty and when I come out both employees were staring at me as I came out ... it was weird on top of being rude 2x already. And one of our drinks was wrong. The guy who rung me up didn't let me use my starbies point (he's the one taking out the trash) . The other picture is the tall Caucasian who was rude . Ordered from DoorDash my regular lavender matcha. It came without any lavender and really plain. I only got back 2.23 of the 7.70 dollars I paid for. Be careful when ordering from here because it isn't the first time they do things wrong. I definitely will not be coming back here. Like come on. 1/10/2025, Friday, b/t 13:20 - 13:40- This Starbucks is located across 7/11, west of freeways 125 and 94 in La Mesa, CA. This Starbucks entrance FACES Spring St so you have to make an effort to enter as the narrow parking lot is behind the cafe. On Friday afternoon, I made the effort to walk inside the cafe; placed my order and used their facility. Upon returning to the counter, I asked the female employee whether or not my order was ready. She responded hastily stating that I was next. I waited, patiently. Minutes later, another customer (wt/m/tall/obese) walked in and did the same - placed order, restroom, and returned to counter. While waiting for my order, customer #2, who arrived after me, was handed his order first! Stunned as I placed and paid for my order before customer #2 stepped inside Starbucks, yet he received his order ahead of me, I asked the barista again. This time, female barista was increasingly annoyed. With her raised tone of voice and angry facial expression, she asked for my name. I gave it even though the barista/male cashier never asked for it. Annoyed with the train of events that unfolded, I asked for a refund. I asked the baristas whether it was my black hair and brown skin that caused the them to serve customer #2 ahead of me. Alex was the male cashier, Ariel was the female barista/supervisor. Ariel spoke to me, customer, in a condescending tone as if I had never ordered from SB! This was an unpleasant experience experience for all the reasons mentioned above! Okay so I had to try the latest Starbucks coffee beverage and wow what a wonderful surprise. My health won't like me so luckily I can have willpower. It is the new White Chocolate Macadamia cold brew. The cold foam is what makes this drink so delicious of course. Their sweet recipe they use to make it so tasty is what draws me in. To me, I feel it has a Coconut Macadamia taste to it. A friend tried it and said she didn't taste any Coconut but to each his/her own. So, if you want to be adventurous and are curious, give it a try. If you are a cold-brew fan this coffee is it! I usually get fast service at this Starbucks also. There are some great Starbucks Stars also if you are fortunate to have encountered one! read more

Stopped in this newly opened Starbucks on the corner of Spring St. & Palm, at the entrance of the city of La Mesa. The store offers a drive through and all the other typical offerings. I had a grande Caffè Misto in a mug and a sprouted wheat toasted bagel with butter. The misto was a little strong, with the Pikes, so I had them hit with a little Veranda and that seemed to mellow it out. The ratio of steamed milk to coffee could of been a little closer too. The toasted sprouted bagel was very good. It is one of my favorite items to eat at Starbucks. I like that they toasted it well, as I requested, but I still do not like that they have not gone back to Kerrygold butter made from grass fed cows. I miss it. Service was good. The young lady who took my order inside was very cool and had a good sense of humor. Nice addition. read more

Ordered a no foam latte and watched as they dumped foam onto the top of my drink and then immediately read the label that said it was a no foam latte so apparently they did not care. I didn't say anything because I didn't have time to wait for them to make another drink. My drink was also filled about 1 inch from the top. I would have hoped to have it a little fuller. Service is always really fast in the drive thru and everyone has been super friendly, which is important to me. This is a Fairly large Starbucks with indoor and outdoor seating, a few different styles of seating. The food is consistently decent-I have never had a problem with it. Updated my review from almost 2 years ago from 5 stars to 3 stars... 2 stars removed for accuracy of drink and service. This place is my go to, my only issue is that it's a hit or miss. I am not a morning person and don't have time to make my own coffee in the am... so I literally order 5x a week before I head to work ( i know - it's bad ! ) but you'd think they memorize this drink by now or at least acknowledge my order and name. It's a hit or miss because the ones that I have seen there longer are more friendly and sociable but there's a few that don't greet you when you walk in for your pick up order or when at the drive thru, I've had a few times where they get my order wrong and give me a total cost when I always pay through the app ahead of time. I hope the service here changes. My SAME order every time I order is made differently each time. Either too much milk and no coffee or NOT completely filled to the top as if they poured some out. I appreciate you all for staying open for us but as a customer service manager, please genuinely acknowledge everyone coming in and not just look down making drinks while talking to each other. I usually say thank you out loud when I receive my drink when inside and no one responds or turns around so I stopped saying it out loud because it feels so odd that they all ignore me. read more

Today, there was an upset customer ahead of us in the drive-thru (dude was popping off-- it was a bit much for any possible drive-thru situation, imo) and the manager (with rad pink hair!) handled it graciously and was really sweet to us, even immediately after dealing with the pissed off dude. Drive-thru review - I'm not a walk in kind of customer if I'm out doing errands I like to just drive-thru and keep it moving!! This location is fairly new, the barista who took my order repeated it back to me and had everything correct, when you get to the window there is a sign requesting you wear a mask (at this point in time I don't understand or can't see why anyone wouldn't just wear the freaking mask make life easier for these people who working to serve YOU) which I always wear one and have a few extras on me just in case...you never know!! I always use touch less payment via my Starbucks app on my phone, super easy and safe. The barista placed my coffee into a coffee mug and handed the mug out the window so I could grab my coffee cup from her without having to touch her hand. Overal the barista was nice, got my order right and per usual coffee tastes good!! read more

Staff are always friendly and very helpful. The staff will make the experience feel like home away from home! Even during peak times, they are on top of the orders and continue to provide the best service. The staff are truly skilled in what the service they provide. My drinks and food always come out perfect. I truly enjoyed that they make each item to perfection. Often times I'm in a hurry, but this is not a problem at this location. Worst Starbucks I've been to! I'm used to the 5 star Starbucks treatment...don't expect to get that here! I went through the drive through and ordered my drink which was repeated back to me correctly. Not a difficult drink, just a venti iced cinnamon dulce latte. When I got up to the window the girl took my cash and handed me the wrong drink. I handed it back to her and told her what I had asked for. She didn't say a word, but she grabbed it, turned around and forcefully threw it in the sink and hurriedly made the new drink. When it was handed to me again, it was again wrong but I didn't wait so I took my drink and drove away. In short I ended up with a Venti iced coffee for the price of my Cinnamon dulce latte. The drive-through staff have always been so friendly and great service every time. However, I always order the same caramel macchiato (with no customization) and it's never been consistent. I keep ordering it with the hope it'd be the one time it's right? Maybe they forget the vanilla? Maybe the milk is different, who knows? This morning I got home, and realize I'd been handed a cappuccino. I added my own vanilla, caramel syrup and sugar at home and its drinkable.
