The staff was very friendly and took me and my friends order fairly quickly and accurately. We ordered 5 drinks, all refreshers and teas. There were only 2 baristas, one taking orders, the other was making drinks. We barely waited for our drinks. After we ordered, the drinks were pretty much ready. Came for a quick pit stop before going on a short road trip home. This was the only Starbucks near where our hotel was so we went despite the low ratings for this place. There was around 5 people/parties ahead of us making the wait dreadful but the line went relatively quick. Prices were definitely a little bit more pricy than your typical Starbucks. At first I noticed there was only one cashier working the entire stand but was relieved when two more employees came. The time between ordering and picking up our drinks was surprisingly fast despite how busy it kind of was. I ordered a iced peppermint mocha and it was great. It sounds like many out of these out of towners can't fathom the idea of waiting for their beverage. This is not the big city so wait times are to be expected when coming to a small town for your coffee. Even though this is a large corporation, we have small town employees working here. I've noticed how rude customers can be so naturally the baristas will become frustrated too. I've never had a poor customer service experience here and that could simply be because I'm nice to the workers even though I've waited in the same long line as everyone else. As far as the beverages go, they are as usual delicious & expensive. I would like to point out to corporate that giving 10 cents off for bringing my own reusable cup is not an incentive AT ALL & i think they should reconsider that discount. read more

Honestly I am not shocked that this Starbucks inside Safeway has bad reviews. There were 2 girls working there when I went and about 5 people in line. The line went verrrrrrrry slowly. I pulled up the Starbucks app and asked what a few different drinks were in which they had no idea about. I ended up just getting a frappachino and a hot chocolate. The order took quite some time to be finished. The snack case was pretty empty also. I would recommend going to the IV Coffee lab. The employees there are very friendly and personable. read more

Super Starbucks Fan here! However, the service here is not good at all. The ladies get annoyed with you real quick. The espresso machine is always breaking down so we have to drive four miles up the road. The prices are more than what you would pay at other Safeway Starbucks. They make your drinks within the average wait time when there's a lot of people waiting. Although the Starbucks location is conveniently located near our cabin, it still is an inconvenience when they can't make your espresso drinks consistently. Yes, I will be back here in the future because I am a loyal fan and since this place is closer. Would like to feel like I am more appreciated for shopping there and not like I am interrupting the baristas' day. I do also enjoy the fact that this Starbucks is located inside a Safeway, too! read more

Super duper slow but when it's the closest Sbux to you sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! There is usually one person working here, maybe if you're lucky there will be two people, but either way they are SLOW. I was here when I was the ONLY person in line and it took 15 minutes for me to get my order processed and made. I would hate to be here when there are more people in line. As another reviewer said, thanks googlemaps for being yet again, wrong. The service was okay, slightly tired and not really bubbly, but quick enough where it didn't matter. My Venti Caramel Frap was a little substandard due to it's wateryness and lack of caffeine (large usually means bouncing off the walls), but it had enough to do the trick. We always go to this location everytime we visit. A family friend owns a cabin nearby. Sadly I believe the last few times we've been here the service has gotten worse and worse. If that's possible. We went earlier i the week. After ordering we questioned what was given to us because we usually get the drink over ice. The cashier literally ran to us and said that's what you ordered... you asked for a Frappuccino! If you wanted it over ice you should have just said caramel macchiato. We understood but there was no reason for her to come over and yell at us about it. We weren't even talking to her. We were talking to the young lady making the drink. She was explained it to us very nicely. Even offered to make the drink again. No.. we took the drink she made no reason to replace since it was our mistake. Then today we went back... it was 10 minutes before 6 pm. My daughter ordered 6 drinks. She forgot to ask for SOY milk on the macchiato. After realizing the mistake she offered to PURCHASE another drink with SOY (her aunt can't drink milk). The young man very rudely said NO! I can't! Why??? There was no one else behind her. My poor husband came here to get our drinks on Christmas Eve and got met by a real Scrooge. I sent him for three items, all of which apparently are not served at "licensed Starbucks." Instead of kindly telling my husband they don't offer those items and suggesting substitutes, the manager tore him apart. Look, Lady. Not everybody knows that "licensed stores" don't have 1% milk or won't put a grande tea in a venti cup to help you avoid burning yourself. It's no wonder the Yelp reviews say terrible customer service, because it sounds like the manager is setting the tone. She couldn't believe it when we ordered a reduced fat turkey bacon sandwich, because that had (*eye roll*) been discontinued. Well, you know what else has been discontinued? If you find yourself in need of a Starbucks, do not go to this location. We are up the street and have been here multiple times over the last two years. The service at this Starbucks is abysmal. There are rude, almost never get your order right and the wait takes forever. They don't look at you and roll their eye all the time. If you want extra room, they charge you a dairy fee that's like 80 cents. This time my sale item didn't ring up on sale, evidently it's my problem. Terrible is the best word that can best describe this Starbucks location. I would give half a star if possible. I don't like to make any opinions before having my own experience at any establishment. I read the several horrible reviews by Yelpers but was still willing to give this place a shot. I mean there are Starbucks everywhere so how far off can the overall quality be? It wasn't so much the taste of the coffee but the lack of good customer service, availability and variety of coffee beverages. I don't even expect too much variety from a Starbucks located in Safeways because it is in fact much smaller in size but, come on people...only regular coffee is available? For real? Even 7-11 stores and McDonalds have more choices and their specialty is not coffee. Dear sweet lord you silly "Starbucks" employees! I guess these aren't real Starbucks employees. These are faux employees, as they really work for Safeway. We went there on Sunday morning after my friends and I woke up. Damn. Seriously...damn. How long does it take? Apparently they don't know how a queue works, or that usually you keep the drinks in the order they are in the queue, not whatever you feel willy-nilly enough to make. This isn't just me saying this...I was with a Starbucks employee and that was what she said. Furthermore, how long does it take someone to pour two shots of espresso into a cup, and then fill it up from there with coffee? A good question you might ask. It takes about 10 minutes, or the same amount of time it takes them to make two lattes, an Americano, three blended Frap drinks, and to pour two coffees. Nice, huh? Aside from the horribly long wait time, the staff was incredibly rude and pretty mean. When I made my order, I was shouted at twice to speak up. I was told after she got my order, that I wasn't being that loud. I told her that perhaps it was because the steamer was in her ear and that was why she couldn't hear me. She shook her head and said to me, "No, it's because you're not loud enough." I might not be loud enough for you, but I certainly am bitchy enough to give you one star. read more

Don't ask me for my order, act like you're ready for the rest of it, and then say 'hold on'. Is it your first day? In a fight with your boyfriend? Or girlfriend, hard to tell. Sorry, just being honest. Maybe you're not "Starbucks" material. 2. If I order a coffee drink with caramel in the name, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it should have caramel in it. 3. Pick up the pace. Really. I realize it's Saturday morning. At the only Starbucks in town. Inside a grocery store. In a resort community. And you may or may not be an actual employee. But either call corporate and get two more machines in that bee-yotch, or you had better go back to the pharmacy inside Safeway, grab a few syringes and needles, and start mainlining quad shots. I'm not one to write a below average review. Everyone has bad days or maybe it's a fluke. However, as a local, I have given this Starbucks many chances to prove themselves, and I can tell you that it isn't a fluke or a bad day... The line is always long, which is understanding. Starbucks is a popular and familiar place! But it wouldn't be so out of control if the service was quicker and employees were trained better. This place has a VERY high turnover which results in getting orders wrong, customers having to repeat their order 3 times, lots of arguing behind the counter...etc. Staff isn't so friendly, they don't accept Starbucks rewards, and they don't have breakfast sandwiches (don't even think about getting in line for Safeway's sandwich station. It's even worse over there). Today the worker really did me in when she saw a friend in line, let him jump the line, and made him a free drink while a handful of customers were waiting for their orders that they've already waited in line 10 minutes before ordering and paying for. Extremely rude and unprofessional during such a busy time. Spend your money at Java Hut or if you're headed East, stop at the Starbucks in Incline. They're awesome! read more

Horrible costumer service by an employee call margarita. We were trying to get a refill on 2 drinks. She jumped from behind the espresso machine and yell to the cash register how the charged should have been made. She was extremely aggressive and without hesitation she started going on about how refills work. It was simple ice tea refill and coffee. We told her that it wasn't a big deal if the coffee refill was so complicated just to process the ice tea. She continue to yelled and screamed and stoped the line while all costumers behind witness the show. We continue to tell her that it was okay & no big deal and she continue to argue even after we left harassing us as we walked out the store. She was trying to be defying and intimidating and ask that we could speak with her manager and screamed her name was margarita. It was such an unpleasant and horrible experience to be treated like that. My stomach just dropped after having someone over react and try to be so intimidating for a cup of coffee. I will never again visit that Starbucks or store. I hope management finds out about this since I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened to a costumer. read more

The only thing they did right was make the drinks correctly. That's why they are getting 2 stars. The service was horrible this morning. She was so rude. She was unbelievably unhelpful when it came to my gold card. I spent over $40 on drinks and mugs and none of the star rewards went onto my card because she was so unhelpful. Before giving her my drink order, I handed her two gift cards to add on to my gold card, as there is no internet connection in the store. She said they weren't able to do that and i would have to go outside. I then pulled 2 $20's out of my wallet to put on my card and said so to her. She proceeded to take our drink order and ring up the mug. Once she was done, I handed the money and my gold card to her, she sighed heavily and informed me that it had to be done before I ordered. I told her to rering it up, as it was her mistake. She huffed again and said they had to get a manager. There was a line forming behind me who were getting annoyed, and the service had already taken longer than my children could withstand, so I just handed her the money and did my best to not be rude back to her. This is obviously the norm at this location based on the bad reviews. Maybe Starbucks needs to reevaluate this location. read more
