I needed a late night hot dog and I got what was labeled as a quarter pound big bite. Got out to the car and took a bite of it and it was not a quarter pound big bite. It was a spicy bite and I cannot eat it. I took it back in and tried to explain to the gentleman that I could not eat it but he would not refund my money. And there was no other hot dogs on the grill other than the spicy bite. I make the trip up here two times a month and I will never, ever go back to this 7-Eleven. Yesterday was my fourth visit to this store in the last 4 months. No improvement since my last stop. Overflowing garbage cans outside should have been a sign that nothing has changed. Empty Gatorade display outside has been there since June. Floors are dirty and trash items in several areas of the store. Mostly napkins, straws, and plastic donut bags that customers must have dropped. Want coffee? Don't bother! Empty coffee pots are left burning on coffee machine. The smell of burnt coffee should be a clue for the clerk to check the coffee bar. He's too busy watching videos on his phone. Hotdog on the grill were shriveled and looked like they'd been there all day. Had to pass on that "option". Friendly service at checkout? Umm. No. Clerk still watching a video on his phone. Sales counter was cluttered and dirty. It's apparent the owner and corporation are okay with this level of management. I feel sorry for the locals that support this business. This store is always busy, they need to check their stocks and attention to the cleanliness of the area.

One star goes to their coffee & coffee selections. They always have a clean counter, coffee brewing, & the best creamers! The other star goes to the Spanish gentleman working behind the counter who is always SO incredibly nice & helpful. He's always got a smile on his face and every day seems to be pretty great for him. I will purposely go to Chevron's snack store because i get judged by the older woman that works nights at 711. She is UNPLEASANT, rude, and a horror to have working at a store. I speak enough Spanish to understand when someone's talking crap & she was telling her friend that "i came in high and now i need food" as they laugh together. Who are you to judge anything i do. Like i said, i have stopped coming in here at night to avoid the negative energy so i go to Cox instead where the guys are super chill & don't make me feel uncomfortable for wanting munchies. read more

Disappointed in 7-11 during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is signage requiring customers to wear masks, however apparently the employees do not. Edee was talking loudly on her cellphone in the main area of the store not even behind the plexiglass and I could see her spit flying. I will not frequent this establishment so long as the employees do not protect us. I wear my mask to protect them and there is a California mandate requiring them, but Edee chooses not to have her employees follow them. Its a shame because this use to be my go-to spot. I came in this morning (02/18/2019 at 10:30am) and the Spanish guy behind the counter was BEYOND rude. I was waiting in line to make a purchase and he let his buddy skip in front of me which I ignored. So when it was my turn I wanted to make a couple purchases and he made me do them individually because he didn't know how to do everything at once. He then snapped at me saying I talk to fast. I will never shop here again. The owner is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. She was huffing and puffing the whole time we were in line. Then when I mentioned that I thought she was rude she said "Well, your kid threw shit all over the counter." Referring to a trinket looked at then replaced in the counter. I asked if she was the manager and she said, "No, I'm the owner!!". I said, "The owner curses in front of children?", to which she replied, "it goes both ways." The single worst business in all of Kings Beach, if not the Tahoe Basin! The independent owners are the least friendly people I have ever met, let alone patronized! Bad attitudes, even though it's clear that we are locals; they treat their employees like crap (even though some have been members of their family), and NEVER a kind word, hello, or any other pleasantry! I will occasionally go in to check a lottery ticket, and take delight in cashing winning tickets, but refuse to spend any of the money there. If I get a replay ticket, I'll take it to Annie's Chevron to redeem it, just in case it's a winner; I wouldn't want the owners to benefit from my winning! At one point recently, we were looking for a 2nd property as an investment and we found a favorable house in Incline. Upon learning that the selling agent was also the owner of the 7Eleven in Kings Beach, we immediately dropped our interest and went with a different house and agent! If you must do a convenience store run in the area, either go to Annie's Chevron down the street, or wait until you get to Incline, Dollar Hill, Carnelian Bay, Truckee or Squaw Valley! In short, don't patronize the Kings Beach 7Eleven as your business will not be appreciated! read more

The cashier got mad at my friend for paying for an ice cream in change. My friend even did this to be polite as she only had a 100$ bill and didn't want to ask the cashier to break it while she had others in the store! She then told us that "a little more common courtesy would have gone a long way"... We were at her register for less than a minute. read more

No complaints here! Basically your typical 7-11 but with some added local shirts and what not. We love getting slurpees here on a hot summer day. Never had a bad experience, not sure what other reviewers are talking about. read more
