Pump doesn't work no matter how hard I try. And the touch screen has way too many prompts. Maybe that's why it didn't work for me? Whatever.

Easy in and out. Recommend! The only place in town that remains open 24 hours. Thus, if you have an emergency. This is your go to.

The Alibi beer is listed at 12.99. He kept trying to charge 16.99 and wouldn't let me buy it for the listed price. Bad business 1 star!

Gas is wicked expensive, go to Carson or Reno before you come here and have to pay $ .50 more than anywhere else.

And yes, the "issue" has been fixed and Happy Tiers Bakery was allowed to reopen, but five months ago, they were shut down completely for rat droppings and no hot water in their three compartment sink (the one that you use in kitchens to wash dishes). This probably explains why there was no one in the entire place when we stopped in. Did the baked goods look amazing in the case? Yes. Did the cinnamon roll (which was buy one get one free) live up to the hype? NO. Did the woman who took my order, listen and get my order correct? Also no. Was the latte served extremely boiling hot with no coffee sleeve? Yes. We stopped here to support local, but would have been much happier with going to the big green corporation that specializes in coffee across the street. Health inspection history January 2023: The Washoe County Health District issued a public health alert, advising residents not to consume products from Happy Tiers Bakery because they were manufactured without inspection or a permit and the products were sold between October 1, 2022, and January 24, 2023. July 2025: The Reno Gazette Journal reported that the bakery was temporarily shut down for violations including rodent feces and lack of hot water at the three-compartment sink. July 2025 Follow-up: Happy Tiers Bakery passed a follow-up inspection after fixing the issues found in July.

Today my wife and I decided to drive to Lake Tahoe because we love to explore and so being from…read moreSacramento, we wanted to think outside the box, or the city for that matter. After finally arriving to Lake Tahoe we wanted to look for Food and so because we saw this place as a recommendation, we decided to stop in and see if the recommendation was a good or bad one. As we pulled in we could tell that this was going to be a great spot to eat at because it was busy and there were lots of people in line waiting to order food. After getting to the register I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and my wife ordered the Egg Muffin. The thing is that when you order the food, they ask you what Protein you want to put into it and so you have a choice of a couple of different items because the Breakfast item that you order wont come included with it. So I chose Ham and so did my wife for her Egg Muffin. So we both ordered Coffee to drink at the register and they handed us the cups. Went to the Coffee station and after getting there you have the option of either choosing Half & Half with Sugar or you could just take Simple Syrup and put that into your Coffee instead. After sitting down at our table, let me tell you that the place was decorated very beautiful inside but we decided to find a table closer to the outside since was already starting to be a beautiful day. After about 5 minutes the waitress came to the table with our food and to my amazement I stated "Wow, that was quick!" The Waitress said "Yeah, our Cooks are Turning and Burning the food today" Which at my delight the bite into my Breakfast burrito was great. We also ordered a side of Potatoes and while I'm not a big fan of Green Peppers, the Potatoes were soft and very delicious as well. I poured Ketchup on them to finish the topping and let me tell you they were fresh and very good as well. I took a sip of my Coffee and while it wasnt Hot, but it was warm I told the waitress about it and she brought over a cup of Hot Coffee. I then put Half & Half into it with the Simple Syrup again and AGAIN, the Coffee was wonderful. Overall this place simply deserves a 5 but I wish I had the opportunity to give it more. Thank you Tunnel Creek for such a wonderful experience. You're Food, Staff and Beauty inside the restaurant were wonderful for 2 people who decided to just come to Lake Tahoe for a random adventure today.

Pretty good day to visit the Monkey Trailhead so decided to have lunch at the Tunnel Creek Cafe…read more The line was long but service was pretty fast. The lady in the counter was systematic and knows what she's doing. The staff also answers questions and accommodating. Food was delicious, i had turkey pesto sandwich, pretty much like my fave Costco pesto turkey. I also had cranberry juice. The Cartwright hamburger was so-so. Not impressed really but for a tourist area , the prices are great and the place looks very nice.
