11/9/24- Beautiful day for a fall drive- My first time visit to this location.. On the way home, I needed some beef for my recipe- tomato beef chow mein- Crazy busy, (weekend and mid afternoon).. Parking cramped and people coming and going- I like how the carts are on the right side upon entry- ) the Summit location- is different because it's to the right- Found my piece of steak- Staff was helpful when I asked for a specific salad dressing- they did not have. I'm happy as my dinner turned out amazing! Thanks TJ!

I'm in Carson City for work and prior to my trip, the first thing I looked up was if there was a TJ's nearby. Still no TJ's in the islands so it's always a must stop on any mainland trip. Fortunately, this location was just a 10-minute drive from my hotel. Ended up stopping here twice during my four day trip; loading the suitcase full with snacks to take home. All the same great snacks I've grown accustomed to at incredible prices. Service is also great too. Only negative was that they ran out of the white cheddar puffs :( Still very happy with what I got and also can't beat $1 greeting cards. And for the record, the pics are just a fraction of the total haul lol.

I love our Carson City Trader Joe's. It's not as crowded as other locations like Sac or Reno and if you're smart, and get here early, there not much of a crowd and it's easy parking. Tip on the parking: if you can back into the spot, so you don't have to back out in a narrow lot with tons of people walking and driving. , it's way safer. One holiday product I found that is actually pretty good is the Trader Joe's frozen turkey pot pie. Give it a try if you don't wanna make a whole turkey for just yourself this holiday. It's in the frozen food section.

What a breath of fresh air for grocery shopping. We happened upon this Trader Joe's by accident, not even knowing there was another one but the Reno one. This experience was night and day in comparison. Nothin wrong with the Reno store it is just overwhelmed. We came in here on an early afternoon on Sunday 11-27-22 and there was actually room to walk down the aisles, a lot of room. We got our favorite golden potatoes and peppered salami so pretty much in and out but they had 7/8 registers open so it was even faster. Nice clean store. Great place in south Carson.

My favorite store!!!! Making coconut rice tonight and needed coconut milk. They were out but the helpful staff showed me the coconut cream and gave me the ratio I needed to achieve the consistency and taste of coconut milk. Store is always stocked and clean. Staff are always A+

She went on to say that I should move to Ca. because I probably loved Newsome. WTH. She doesn't know me or where I'm from. She has no personality, or manners, or professionalism. She is a cancer to an already substandard store. I'm 73 and it's hard enough to get out, but to have to deal with Mimi is a nightmare. I am sure I am not the first to report her. Not good, Smiths.

Maria, Marry, and Mimi are absolutely brilliant, courteous, and highly efficient. They have endured prolonged corporate restructuring, changes to the entire floor plan, loss of some of their best (RIP Trevis) and not reflected in any reviews. Their incredibly knowledgeable team operates with stellar performance that people completely take for granted, never mind a few peevish one-star reviews which bear no relation whatsoever to the professionalism benefiting the Carson community. These outstanding individuals assist hundreds of people every week and simply don't get enough credit for how much they have done right, making the difference nobody sees-- they are like front-end phantoms you might not even notice on a busy day- which seems to be every day! They have a working knowledge of every single product being sold, and where to find it. I have even been met at the register someone handing me the very product I couldn't even pronounce correctly to find that someone had gone out of their way to make sure I found what I needed and handed it to me while I was already in checkout! This is to set the review section straight, and you can ignore all peevish, resentful reviews bearing no reflection of what this great team has done to improve this location over the years!

The store seem like a typical Mexican supermarket. I go over to the deli counter. Seems like the person is taking orders and speaks English well enough. I ask what's inside a Burrito? She tells me beans, rice, onions cilantro and the meat you choose. What? NO cheese included? She answers, cheese is extra. What the hell, who ever heard of a burrito with no cheese included? OK, I add cheese for 50 cents more. The prices seem reasonable, compared to Playa Azul where cheese is included. It's $9.50 here plus 50 cents for the cheese. OK, I'm good with that. What brings the star rating way down, enough for me not to come back, is the order on one lousy burrito took like 20 minutes or more to come out and this was like at 10:15 in the morning! Slapping together a burrito and rollin it takes no more than a few minutes, I've seen it done (not here). Watching, looks like they have a lot of to go orders they're making first and tossing them under the counter to be picked up later. Makes more sense to make the orders of the people waiting at the counter BEFORE to go orders where the customer is not even here! Forget this stupid service waiting that long! The burrito on top of that was MISSING the damn cheese I paid extra for! It was rolled and wrapped kind loose and was not stable to eat like other burrito places. The dining area was fine to eat at, but just getting the food was the problem and it wasn't made correctly! Forget this Centuro Market for made deli food.

The quality is pretty good, good as any sushi bar in town at least. This sushi is waaay better than the pre packaged stuff at like Trader Joe's or Costco. US Foods, Chef store, as an overall company model is a net benefit to any community. If you think about it, the big players in hospitality have supply chain and distribution all figured out. US Foods supports the small independent businesses which are the backbone of the economy. Every business requires a level of proactivity and organization to be successful, but when it comes to having something ready to go in that last-minute pinch, US Foods solves many needs. If planned properly, with the "click and carry" option, everything can be ordered ahead for the week and picked up in one load. Prices are better than delivery overall. Many shelf stable items are on sale frequently and can be stock piled. Using US Foods chef store, and other direct to consumer stores for our supply chain during these pivotal years has allowed us to stockpile win, able, and order fewer items more often as necessary. Rough estimates for the five-year savings of using this method is close to $350,000. From 2021 to 2026. As compared to ordering from Sysco, US Foods direct, Chef's Warehouse, Bakemark, etc. While distribution companies are also extremely important for the private operator, the US Foods Chef store direct to consumer model requires no minimum, no surcharge, and allows for an individual operator to order as much or as little as needed. This morning I purchased a click and Karie order from the Carson City US Foods Chef store. I ordered it for Tuesday, but was told it wouldn't be until Friday. They communicated well and I had planned for the delay. I called them on Friday to verify that it had arrived, then went in on Saturday morning, super early to pick it up. Three people thanked me for my business. They each made me feel respected and appreciated. I'm happy to give them the business! Well, done, Team!
