This is about the most pleasant experience we have ever had at a Walmart anywhere, and we have been customers for years. We were very impressed with the young lady who was our cashier. Her customer service was pure excellence, and she was efficient and quick. We observed her with the customer ahead of us, who was elderly, and she was very accommodating to him. It didn't stop there, as she was very friendly with us as well. The aisles were pretty clear and even the restroom was clean. It is very rare to find all these qualities at once. I saw Richard again in electronics tonight, He was rude, nosy, when my card wasn't working, I pulled it out and it cancelled, He raised his voice at me, talked to me sternly like I was a child, made comments saying "I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself". He asked about my mom's and I work history, why I left and what I do now. Then he just said "Oh" when I answered and didn't tell me to have a good night or anything. My husband bought a straight talk phone card here, and the cashier voided it. I guess he made a mistake, but proceeded to rescind the card. We found out after the purchase that doing what he did voids out the card. When he tried to enter the code when we got home, it wouldn't work. So we went back to Walmart the next day when we were off work to ask for help. Nobody knew what to do. We went back and forth 4 times between electronics and customer service. All we got was shrugs and a lot of attitude from Heather. They said to call, but we just wanted an exchange for the bought phone card. Tbh, he's willing to let it go, but I feel like he was robbed. Well, let's be honest today! Walmart is not exactly known nor is it synonymous with good customer service, hell it's not even known for mediocre customer service. Well, brace yourselves no shocker here. This store also does not have mediocre or good customer service help to say it's bad would be an upgrade from what they offer. Walmart, please explain to me how you're going to put everything under locking key and give nobody the key I got an idea if you're trying to prevent theft Get rid of self check out, open up those registers. It's a laughable joke to expect me to cashier my purchases, my purchases and play prevention to my purchases, asking for my receipt as I'm walking out the door is the only experience of Walmart that I truly enjoy. I just absolutely love looking another human being dead in the face and saying no. But my issue today wasn't with scanning my own purchases or bagging my own purchases. My issue today is for the last two weeks. I've been trying to get somebody to unlock it the door to either the tools electronics today again was the jewelry. I was told last week that there was no key for it because all of the lots were being changed over to the electronic ones yet the item I was looking at purchasing was no longer in the jewelry cabinet after I stood there waiting for over 45 minutes. Two visits to customer service to ask flagging down every employee. I can see just to send somebody with a key. I gotta say Walmart you even out Walmart, your self this one. The worst part is you come in you eliminate all of your competition just to increase your prices, and please don't use the economy or tariffs as an excuse. What with a record-breaking profits year over a year. cute sign by the way how you no longer price match funny how you do that after any real competitions close doors but not only do you eliminate anybody who could provide a smidge more professional, a smidge more helpful customer service but no Walmarts customer service is chasing someone down to let them know to don't go in the back and get the item themselves all the while providing no employees willing to do it. There's plenty of employees standing around congregating I can tell you what they're not doing unlocking locks, sweeping floors, putting stuff away cleaning cashiering you understand. I used to be an impulse buyer your company cured me of that, if it is not something that I need right now I'm willing to wait to have it delivered just to avoid doing business with your company. You have made it impossible to never be a customer of yours, but I never have to be a good one. The standard worker employee is good and all of your locations management leads upper management anybody in charge of anything keyholder etc. they all are overpaid under intelligent under motivated useless waste of my money read more

Ah Walmart you never disappoint. You seriously need a reality show. I just pulled into the parking lot and saw someone go to get into their vehicle, so I put my turn signal and wait. They finally pull out and in order to pull in I need to turn wide which causes my turn signal to go off. About that time another vehicle coming from the other way appears. I pull into the parking spot. After I grab stuff from the car I get out and the driver (an older gentleman with oxygen tube going into his nose, why he doesn't have handicap parking stuns me) from the other vehicle yells at me saying he waited to thank me for cutting him off. He proceeded to cuss at me and tell me to go back to Utah (rental vehicle). I guess your customers have nothing better to do than cuss at people for parking their vehicles. Thanks Walmart for the laugh. Man I wish there was a Target nearby, where you pay more for better clientele. Then I go inside and see someone drank some Cole and put it on the top shelf. my husband got a pair of glasses last february, he purchased the extra warratty for a year. in that year he had to replace one of the lenses twice. today we went in to the vision center again today, to learn his warratty did not cover new lens because the warratty expired the last part of february, i would think since it is the same lens that cracked twice before they should cover it because the lens has not been in the frames for a year and thats the warratty. i i am totally frustrated. i am beyond words, left with a very sour taste. feel free to contact me. scoring a one is still too high of a rating read more

Why offer family bathrooms when your employees use it to hide and get out of work. It's always either locked or lazy employees are hiding in there. They care more about trying to check receipts of self check out customers than they do holding their employees accountable and keeping bathrooms open for families. The public restrooms are disgusting with both men's and female's having paper towels and toilet paper littered all over the floor and had clogged toilets. It's ridiculous that this even needs to be reported. Having management in place to hold employees accountable is not that hard. You have employees who will walk right past you when you ask for help or become annoyed that you asked for assistance. Terrible location and terrible staff. read more

Decided to stop here with a concise list and get groceries for the week. I always start with toiletries and then move onto groceries, so I headed over to that side of the store. First item on my list was an OTC medication, which was right next to the extremely long line of customers waiting at the pharmacy, and they did have it, generic or name brand. Several empty slots right where it should be. So I move on to the makeup section, looking for the face lotion I get, an Equate product (Walmart's brand). Not only do they not have it, but the makeup section is so small I can barely squeeze past another customer to get in there. As I move through the rest of the home goods departments I notice that every shelf is in complete disarray, items have no visible price, and other customers are also struggling to find items Finally I get to the groceries, power through most of my list in the dry goods and dairy, and then find that the produce is slim pickings and looking rough. I pick out the saddest head of lettuce ever and head off to the checkout lanes. As I have a full cart I ignore the self checkout. This was a huge mistake. There were only 3 lanes open and at least 5 people in each lane. The cashier who helped me was very sweet, but incredibly slow, and I watched management look around, help a few customers and then close their lane again. Since 2012, this Walmart has become our main source for getting staples like bread, butter, eggs, almond milk, granola bars, Puff Plus, TP, coffee, sandwich bags, lunch meat, sliced cheese, bananas, ranch dressing, dog food & treats, shampoo, toothpaste, razors.... - what I am trying to say is - Groceries and the like. (Besides we like to try keep our $$ in the County we live in - hard to do when you shop but we try). Yep, they have competitively priced groceries, toiletries, dog food & treats and they have some things that are in bulk but not obnoxious like Costco that takes months to get through and then goes bad before we get to the bottom - besides there is only two of us. Meat is a hit or miss sometimes we get good deals and other times take it or leave it (and I mean it, literally sometimes the meat section is just YUCK) and we prefer Smiths or Costco for buying meat and poultry the majority of the time anyway. Toiletries, dog food and treats I tend to grab when I pick up my prescriptions, I also switched all my scripts here in 2012, plus it's just easy and convenient. It's definitely a pain with only a few cashier lines being open on any given day, like any other Walmart and it is what it is, so again we stand in the checkout line gazing at our cellphone with the rest of the folk then back out the door we go, dreading the next visit. On a plus they've recently opened self-checkout so for those quick visits that's definitely worthy of a THUMBS UP to Walmart and a thank you. The store for the most part is clean and stocked for what I come to get and it's rare that I go to reach for what I want and it's not there. Why the 3 stars - as my review of the south end aka Douglas County Walmart - I agree with the other reviewers the LONG checkout lines on any given day and the Bathrooms are barbaric, disgusting and gross - why do ALL Walmart public bathrooms have to be something that upon hitting the door or walking past it one must immediately have a tear come to their eye and you run for the hills. This is absolutely unacceptable and should never be okay for ANY person in the public or their employees to use. PRO TIP - As with my other Walmart review, if the Garden Center is open and you only have a few items or heck a cart full go there and checkout, you MAY get out of the store quicker than waiting inside those big long checkout lines. I am trying really hard to be ok with the fact that I just spent $90 on groceries here and 1. My order was delayed both the picking of the order and the service once I got there - people who got there after me were served ahead of me 2. I called customer service 5 TIMES because I got hung up on twice and got told "I don't know" the other 3X 3. the items that were out of stock did not get substituted. This Walmart does not keep their customers safe by maintaining the 6 ft rule and when I asked an associate about this I got told I was over reacting I brought this incident to the grocery pickup manager (I was doing my own shopping at the time) and he had utter disregard for how his employees acted. I WILL NOT shop at Walmart anymore. The grocery pick up from today was 1) giving them a last chance and 2) the last straw. read more

This is all to the credit of the optometrist named Rich! What a guy. Not at all like the smug, indignant, shrew of an optometrist at the Topsy Lane location. Rich, where to begin! He is very knowledgeable, takes the time to educate the ones who are inquisitive enough to ask, altruistic beyond what I have witnessed in 3 decades on this planet, has beautiful eyes that are known as "heterochromia" and is so very humble. He is the epitome of a good human and one that I enjoyed an intelligent conversation with for about 30-45 minutes. This is an abnormal experience for me as an antisocial, cynical misandrist, to have such pleasant things to say about a member of the male race. He gives me a new found hope for society as a whole and is now a reason to look forward to going to Walmart for whatever crap I don't need but buy weekly. Rich, if you are reading this: you deserve a happy, healthy, successful life with your family. I wish I could give a negative star. I am a disabled person recovering from brain cancer. This location keeps the disabled woman's changing room locked, and when asked if it can be used, they deny the disabled. Last year, it was being used for storage, and the walls had holes in them. I went to use it today,figured it had been a yr. Again, I was denied. The young woman working in the area said she was confused because a woman was just allowed to use it before i came to use it. Apparently, able bodied people are allowed to use the disabled dressing room, but the disabled are not allowed to use it. I was told by the floor manager to use a regular dressing room. My needed walker will not fit through the door of a regular room. Rude, abusive tone, and complete disrespect. This seems like discrimination to me... From what I'm seeing by all the other negative, horable reviews of how others have been treated and the low star, this location deserves to be closed. Or, at the very least, get new management. It's a black stain on the Carson City Valley. If you want to go to a WalMart, the North end of Carson City also has a Walmart. And you will not be disrespected as a disabled person needing a dressing room. They are professional and do not discriminate. The gentalmen working the ladies' dressing area is so kind. He makes sure the disabled dressing room is available for the disabled, not just the able bodied. read more

I advised them website said 11:00 yet they said they close the doors at 10:45. So I suggested they fix web site to say hours to 10:45 and they all gave me a look as if they could care less. This may be because if is a Sunday night and it may be slow, but this review is for the McDonald's inside the Walmart. But we just had the best service for our order. First off, when we ordered fries she let us know there was gonna be a three minute wait and then asked if that was ok. We were fine with it as we're in no rush. Once the fries were done, rather than calling out the number of the order and having us walk over, Neva (don't know how to spell it) walked through the McDonalds to bring us our fries. She didn't call out and we missed hearing her. She deserves kudos and quite possibly this written in on her review for a raise. She's a wonderful customer service giving individual and deserves to be recognized as such. read more

A regular happy customer. This review is about the tire center ONLY-! I ordered tires on-line and made the mistake of having the shop mount and balance. After waiting for my turn to get into the shop, the process took about 2 hours-! After an hour I stepped outside to see what was going on. It appeared at least 3 techs were involved in the disaster. The first gent disappeared after minor damage to my vehicle. Another gent struggled with mounting and I suggested that he may want to use some lube, which is standard. Then it appeared they did not have the proper adapter to mount my standard metal rims to balance my new tires. Finally they saved the WRONG tire for my spare. Next time for the great Walmart price - I will just take ten minutes to pick-up and load in my vehicle and take to a real tire shop with trained techs and proper equipment. This is the nicest Walmart and the employees are great. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely the worst delivery service I have ever dealt. Delivered items and groceries to the wrong apartment multiple times. Never follows delivery instructions. Nobody does anything about it ever. Market Street pickup never answers their phone and customer service is absolutely terrible. It's August 4th & after 2 customer service tickets & a guarantee that I would have my poster by Aug 3rd - went to both Carson City locations & neither have my poster. I put the order in to be picked up at the Topsy store, they did not have it. The customer service rep said she called & confirmed it was at the Market street store ready for pick up. Great experience. Last week, kind of hurrying and left some items at the store. Called and was expecting the worse, since I live over one hour from this Walmart. Nolan told me that I could come in at anytime and he would have my items. Two days later, went into store and the gold coat return manager did not know Nolan, no note and nothing to be picked up. Both Tim and Carol went over my receipt, let me know what I missed and was a very pleasant experience. People like Tim and Carol is what makes this store a nice place to shop.
