This store has some great staff! The pharmacy is on top of my prescriptions. Recently, the manufacturer of my medication let me know that there had been a recall on it. CVS immediately took care of me! There is one particular girl in the pharmacy that is all over it, too! Her customer service is en pointe! I've relocated from Nevada to Oklahoma and even from Nevada, she helped me transfer my prescriptions to OKC.... She was so nice and made it seamless! I don't have her name unfortunately but CVS can access my info and figure that part out and thank her for me! I really appreciate good customer service and this store has it! read more

I exclusively go to CVS to pick up my prescriptions. Usually they're good about having the scrip ready when they notify the patient. I was notified yesterday. I stood in line, waiting, waiting and waiting. When I got to the counter I was given one scrip but not the one that was called in. I came back the next day. Waited, waited and then told my scrip would be ready after 2. No sorry for the inconvenience. I'm about done. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for over 3 years. I choose this location due to 1 employee that stands above the rest... I'm not sure what her last name is but her name is Marivel. She has to be the hardest working employee I've ever encountered at any CVS. She's kind, friendly, and extremely helpful and efficient. She goes above and beyond her duties. She has saved me so much money on prescriptions, she will find a code or a card that saves me money when the insurance doesn't come through like they should. I've seen her come in from her lunch or in for her shift and there will be a line of 10-12 ppl waiting. She will quickly jump on 1 or 2 registers at a time helping 2-3 people at once and the line will disappear in a matter of minutes! She's amazing. People like Marivel often go unnoticed in such a busy environment and I just wanted to make sure I took time to write this review so her employer knows they have a an irreplaceable valuable employee in their company and let her know how important her role is to our community. Gayle and I came here for our flu shots recently. Actually, the Fairview CVS is a lot closer to our home in Genoa, but their pharmacy (in line and drive through) has turned into a bit of a shit show (in our opinion), so we were happy to drive the extra couple of miles. Our wait was short, our shots were painless, and the CVS person doing the health-related deed was competent and friendly. I'm not sure we'll come here again (as the Carson City Costco is good and closer option), but you never know. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I'm so disgusted with the way I'm being tested by a pharmacist named Ed. I've been getting my prescription filled at this CVS since I moved out here over a year ago. I've never had an issue. I went in to get my script on 12/19. Showed my ID paid my bill, all the things I'm required to do. I didn't notice until I got home that my film was actually pills. I hadn't had pill form since 4/2021 of this med. I figured they were out and this is all I can get. No big deal. Well, cutting these pills has been HARD. Right after 12/19 I had a sick son, Christmas and then I was out of state until 1/8/23. I called in today to ask when my next refill is. I only have 6 days left because the dosage on these pills is stupid. I talked to a nice woman and she put me on the phone with Ed. He accused me of not calling the pharmacy soon enough and told me he was too busy, call tomorrow and talk to the manager Dylan. Listen I wasn't even complaining. I'm just wondering if I can get my script at 30 days which would be 1/16 if you actually count the days AND if I can get the film. He didn't believe that I didn't have the film because my script says I have film. Maybe they should audit their drugs. Maybe, someone there stole my drug? Since I'm honest and take my script as prescribed I'm trying to do what's right. Here's some pics, Ed. I'm not a liar. I went to get my prescription on 7-9-24 at 3:41 P.M. A nice girl named Kiera helped me at the front desk...she gets . The big pharmacist guy in the back is very efficient and has...in the past...asked me if he could help me from his back area and did. I give him 5 . However...when i called "5" times (2:53 P.M., 2:54 P.M., 2:58 P.M., 3:00 P.M., & 3:03 P.M.) on 7-12-24 to try and talk to someone in the Pharmacy...i had to talk to one of those lame "robots"...couldn't get through and was forced to leave a message! A business like a Pharmacy should pick up the phone...eventually! Why should i have to leave a message for a place that wants to do business with me?!...am i inconveniencing them and they'll get back to me?! I believe they have things turned around here. Anyway, after leaving a complaining message with their robotic answering message system... a man called me back fast at 3:05 P.M. i had asked for a duplicate receipt for my prescription the other day but the man on the phone said i couldn't get one...it was too late. I asked him why they don't have anyone to pick up their phone in their pharmacy like the other pharmacies. He said that they stopped doing that. Oh well...STRIKE 2. He also mentioned in so many words after i complained to him about their new system that i could go to one of those other pharmacies if i liked. Really?!...PITCH HITS MY ARM!...Okay!...No Problem. I can't thank the pharmacy staff enough. Dillon and the entire pharmacy staff at CVS always go above and beyond for my mother. My mother is 78 years old and she takes 5 medications monthly. The supply issues are always a hurtle, but the staff sees it through and makes sure my mother gets the care she needs no matter how difficult it can get. Thank you. read more

Broken Covid test purchase at the CVS in Carson City. Apparently it is common practice NOT to return these when they are defective. The customer is always wrong, apparently, at CVS. Wow, this place has gone down hill. Took my 76 year old, diabetic mother there for a prescription for an antibiotic from urgent care. The last time she had an infection like this it turned into a super bug and almost killed her. They were out of the medication and could have cared less. The worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. I'm a former retail manager from back in the day, so I understand how hard it is to juggle you duties while waiting on the public. That wasn't the problem, they just don't care. The pharmacy tech let out a moan when I asked if she could call the other CVS in town to see if they had it. She walked off and proceeded to give shots to the corona virus later comers leaving us at the counter for a solid hour! When I finally got her attention again, I asked to talk to the pharmacist. He was just as bad. He told us to go back to the urgent care to get a different prescription. I think he was just mad that he had to finally get off of the personal cell phone calls he had been on while I stared at him for an hour. We finally left, went to Walgreens and called the urgent care to get it transferred there. My mom is pulling all of her prescription s from that CVS and we'll never go there again. Sad I grew up in Carson and have been going there since I was a kid, but it just takes a bad manager taking over and there you go! read more

I understand that they are short staffed and I have been super empathetic to the poor pharmacy staff but today I have been sitting here for three hours waiting for a prescription that I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes that I have to have asap because it was out of stock for the last two weeks and now I have none left. The pharmacist on duty is losing her mind. She's being rude to customers and she's snapping at everyone. This will be the last time I will come to this location. Sadly I will not use the CVS at 2340 US Highway 50 in Carson City, NV ever again. Their pharmacy staff is rude, disrespectful and treats they customers like crap. I get places are understaffed, but that is not reason to treat people like they do. I went in yesterday afternoon after have 9 screws and metal plate put in my ankle. They said they were extremely behind, to come back tomorrow. So today I call at 11am to see if it's ready, as I live 30 miles from pharmacy. I get told give it 1.5 hours. So I advise my friend who is making this trip for me 2 hours. The time stamp on my script says promised at 3:48pm 1/27/22. It was recieved roughly 24 hour prior to that. Long story short they told her I never called and basically you need to wait, like everyone else. Not until I called my MD to ask to have my script moved was it actually filled. Then the pharmacist made her wait another hour before releasing my script. No reason except disrespect for that. Again I get places are short staffed and shift changes suck when the previous shift doesn't do their share. But you never make the customer suffer because your staff and co-workers can't or won't pull their weight. I will not recommend this location to anyone ever, which is sad since my room mate is actually the reason I went here in the first place. Sadly WalMart might have issues but at least I have never been treated so poorly by them, im going back there. Sorry CVS but you need to get this location straightened out because your customers are being treated very poorly by your pharmacy staff. read more

I'm shocked at the negative reviews I've seen for this store. I have been in several times to pick up over the counter meds and a variety of supplies. Staff could not have been any more friendly. Stop what they were doing, walked me to my item, great service! They seem to know a lot of customers by name. The store itself is bright, clean and well lit. This pharmacy seems horribly understaffed. I waited an hour after they told me it would be 20 minutes for my Rx. Then they let me know that they could NOT fill it, and had me wait another 1/2 hour to SEE if they could try to contact my doctor for an alternate. I went back several days later for the alternate (they said they would text me when they heard back but never did). I knew my doctor had phoned in a new one. After ANOTHER 1/2 hour wait to speak to an actual person, I was told they could have my Rx by 12 noon the next day. Really????? This was for abdominal pain, could they not work on their customer service just a TAD???? No one on the staff makes eye contact or tries to assure you that they want to help you soon. I have used this pharmacy once before over a year ago, and remember everything haven gone without issue. I recently moved back to the area and had my prescriptions moved over to this CVS. On my first attempts at calling to see if they were ready for pick-up I waited over 5 min without a single answer on 3 separate occasions, at the end of which I would get frustrated and hang up to try again. Well, on my 4th attempt I decided to try a little deception and press the option meant for prescribers to see if I could get through that way. Alas! An answer! And on the second ring no less! Imagine that. So, I immediately explain my journey thus far to the technician on the phone, only to have her deny any responsibility by telling me she had just clocked in and that her pharmacist had been on the phone for the last hour. How could she know this if she had just clocked in I wonder? Anyways, not such a great start so far. If my experience improves I will be happy to up my rating and amend my review accordingly. read more

We've been shopping here and using the pharmacy services for many years, even back when it was Long's Drugs and have never, ever had a bad experience. All the personnel have been courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The pharmacy personnel have changed over time but have remained top notch. Several of the store employees have been there since Long's and are fantastic! Lisa and the store manager, Kathy, come to mind right off. I agree with everyone, this pharmacy has gone WAY WAY down hill. The place behind the pharmacy counter is ABSOLUTELY FILTHY! They have a new middle eastern pharmacist who has no idea what's she's doing and the other little middle eastern tech also has NO IDEA what she is doing. January of this year is when this started. My husband just went in to pick up my scripts, (which are controlled substance) so if you know about controlled substance every day after the day it was written if you don't pick it up it pushes it out another day. So again my husband went to pick them up and they said I needed a referral for meds I have taken for years. They filled one but said I needed a referral for the other. I called and this pharmacist wanted to argue with me on the phone she acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and again they had run it under the wrong insurance provider. I told them I don't know why they continue to do this. She ran it again under my insurance and said "OH IT WAS APPROVED! My husband said she said " I'm too busy for this right now". There mix up, but now my problem. It was 5:30 and they close at 6. She wanted him to come back tomorrow which would push it out another day. NO WAY!!!! I switched to Walgreens. This is the CVS on Hwy 50 in Carson City, NV. Don't go there unless you enjoy a dirty business and incompetent people, if you do Good luck to you. read more

This pharmacy is a disaster. The service is awful, pharmacists are rude, slow and indifferent. I, along with a throng of other customers, waited for nearly an hour before Amanda W., the pharmacist, told me she had to "work the counter" and could not stop to fill prescriptions. When I asked her how much longer I would have to wait, she shrugged and replied, "I don't know." No effort was made to placate or sympathize, just a shrug. One highly frustrated man made a scene and left in anger. Other customers were mumbling and pacing. I will never return. read more

Whatever you do do not use money gram through them they give you a money order you can not cash anywhere And you end up paying fees on both ends, not to mention the money gram inside there is nothing more then a red phone that connects you to Their department in india. Of course they don't tell you they wont give you cash till its too late either, ended up costing me 45 bucks total in fees because of them! read more

This CVS is terrible. They don't even have adequate staff to answer the phone. I have had to go back 3 times to get one prescription filled and 4 times to get another one . I was told they had to order the medicine and it would be in on Monday. When I questioned the pharmacist he was talking about a different medicine. The last time I returned I was told that the doctor didn't include the ICD9 code and that they would call the doctor's office on Monday. During all my return trips I saw a least 6 people get sent away because their meds weren't ready. Never again to this pharmacy read more
