This facility acts like they care the first time in so they can hook you in to signing up for a 3 month contract and then they neglected to tell me that after I fulfill my contract that I have to physically tell them to cancel. Why should I need to when I signed up for three months only! They stole $79 from my bank account and when I disputed it they told the bank I owed it when I didn't! When I reached out for a refund I was told that they would give it to me however that was canceled in may and it's almost August as and they refuse to refund my money back! I keep getting some snotty person emailing me telling me there's nothing they need to do um hello refund what you stole! So buyer beware if you sign up ask for the fine print In writing or get screwed over! Not to mention that the only one I wanted to see who knew what he was doing was never there and when he was I was forced to use another adjuster that didn't quite cut it. They knew this review was coming. I tried to make the $79 a month work. I even cancelled my membership and came back because I had a great experience at the Livermore one. The Carson City location near 50 just can't handle the volume of customers they get. The only doctor I ever see working is DR. Edwards. This lack of staff comes into play when there are a lot of customers he tries to rush adjustments leading to a less than satisfactory adjustment compared to an appointment clinic. Today, I went in and there were three people in front of me, meaning I would not be seen for at least 45 minutes. A new customer was coming out from the back and I let him go ahead of me because I was cancelling. He asked why and I gave him the reason above minus the rushed adjustment. I told him the pay per visit was probably a better option. Dr. Edwards took it upon himself to come out and ask me not to bad mouth the clinic to customers. The front desk attendant also chose to get a bad attitude after this point shown by her throwing my cancellation down on the desk. Lack of professionalism by the Doctor and the front staff. I wished them luck and left. As a corporation they need to add Chiropractors to this clinic as it is obviously busy. Again, it's not all the Joint Chiropractic it's just this one. read more

First appointment I waited an hour after being told 20 minutes. Front desk was very rude and often not at their desk. After the receptionist was no where to be found, it had be over an hour, and four people walked in ahead of me, and I left. I came back to give it a second shot and the receptionist had the audacity to tell me I had rudely delayed them bc I didn't let them know before I left! Results are NOT typical and NOT guaranteed and I'm NEVER going again. I woke up with neck pain a couple days ago. My doctor gave me steroids, muscle relaxers, and 600mg ibuprofen. The pain was better but my range of motion was still bad. I went to the chiropractor wanting just a LITTLE more relief. A LITTLE more range of motion. We didn't finish my session, it hurt too much. I left in tears with an ice pack. I've been at urgent care trying to get a cortizone shot for the last 30 minutes. I'm in more pain now than I was before my session, and have less range of motion than I did. On the plus side, they (The Joint) gave me a courteousy ice pack on my way out the door and didn't charge me. Update #1: 1 hour later and I still have pain pulsating in my neck that wasn't this pronounced originally and a headache that was gone when I went into The Joint. Update # 2: 2 hours since I left the chiropractor and I am currently sitting in the e.r. crying and waiting to be seen because all urgent care could do was xray me. Update #3: After 4 hours at the ER, and two injections for pain and inflammation, I finally feel the exact way I did BEFORE I went to The Joint for help. Never. Again. I will NEVER go to a chiropractor EVER again EVER. read more

Dr. Keelog is the worst chiropractor I have ever been to. Doesn't count down breathes, hence choking mid breath and making it hurt. Feels like you are getting reverse CPR. So rough it didn't feel safe. When it came to my neck the problem area he jerked it without any consideration how tender and tense it was. Do not have regular back problems. Just the out of place vertebrae and needed a one time adjustment. But the program is to get you signed up for regular appointments to come in and I felt like the adjustment could've been completed but kind of got me halfway better so that I'd have to come back. I wasn't going to do this but youll see why in a few short sentences. I had a appiontmenton Tuesday because ive been dealing with a sciatica. That goes from my back all the way down to my foot hurts really bad. Had it for a month. I figured enough is enough. I'll make an appointment. So when I did show up, I was a 1 an hour early, and 2 doctors were in the back talking laughing with another client. After the other client leaves there's a lady who comes around the corner and asks me. What she can help me with? I said, I have an appointment. And she tells me Our receptionist has called out. We are not accepting new patients right now. Someone was supposed to contact you to let you know that your appointment has been canceled. I said, no. Nobody contacted me and I just drove 45 minutes to have the appointment at which time I got up and I left the next day. Evening time I receive a text message. Telling me that they are low staffed, and they gave me a bunch of different numbers for Reno. I was looking forward to getting my situation. Taken care of and not being in pain anymore, but that didn't happen. But I did hear great things about them.But I didn't experience anything great about it. read more

The people are great. It's nice to be able to see a chiropractor for $20. I've been coming here a year. And out of that year they have only had one chiropractor on sat practically the whole year. There is supposed to two people . And the month they did have two people they got you in and out. But with only one you are sitting there a half hour or more waiting for your turn. Which kinda kills the value of paying $20. Hope they decide to pull their heads out at the main office and start hiring that third chiropractor they are supposed ti have. I know of another chiropractor who does a thorough job and charges $50. May be better to see him rather than burning up my weekend sitting here waiting for my turn. read more

Yes, each chiropractor is different and has their own approach, BUT all of my experiences have been positive and I walk out feeling better than when I went in. What I like about the doctors at this practice is that they take the time to work on my neck to get it loosened up and it's easy to get to from Tahoe. I went in on Monday looking for some relief from tingling in my shoulder to my neck and pain in low back. I fractured my neck some years ago but had not been adjusted for over 6 years so I knew everything would be tight. Though Dr. Jerry Edwards was well advised of my history and current issues, and the length of time it had been since my last adjustment, he applied NO HEAT WHATSOEVER to my shoulder, my back or my neck. He had me lay on my stomach just so he could check things out. He commented several times on the tightness in my back. Then without warning, he pressed down on my right upper back so hard it frightened me. Immediately my ribs in the front started hurting. I should have gotten out of there right then but before I knew it he was trying to adjust my neck. The rt side went okay but three attempts on the lft side made me close my eyes and silently pray to God not to let this person break my neck. Somehow I relaxed enough for it to adjust. No heat. No preparation whatsoever and he forced my neck previously fractured, to make an adjustment. A person can actually have a stroke up to 31 days past an improper or forced neck adjustment. As I was leaving, I told Dr. Edwards and his receptionist my low back felt better but that was to make up for my ribcage hurting in the front. He told me to keep a pillow handy for the pain when I laugh, cough or sneeze and that it could take several weeks to heal. Five days later, I haven't slept, the pain in my neck & shoulder has increased and dear God I don't know what he did to my ribs but I am in excruciating pain. All I have is Tylenol. Dr. Edwards says there's nothing he can do for me. The only reason for an adjustment to cause pain is because it was done incorrectly. I can't even find any record of his chiropractic license with the Nevada Board. I've had to cancel my swim club, all of my appointments and have lost money because of it. Dr. Edwards refuses to give me anything for the pain he has caused me and my family. I have no insurance and a rib xray is $500 to $800 plus $220 to be seen at the clinic. But today is the worse day yet; I can't control my bladder and I feel something kind of sharp where my ribs are. I can't take a deep breath and I scream in pain everytime I move. I don't know what to do. Dr. Edwards wants nothing to do with this and yet he caused it. He could care less what extent of damage he has done. It hurts so back it's become unbearable. There is no way to get comfortable; it hurts regardless of what I do or how I lay down. Now my low back is killing me again. I can't go on like this any longer. My 63rd bday is coming up and I'm bedridden. This guy is no doctor. He is not to be trusted; he hurt me, he hurt a patient; I am in horrible pain and he's out to dinner or whatever he does. But me? I am crying and screaming from the pain. I've begged him to do something to help me. He's done nothing. His partners have done nothing. Corporate has done nothing. He adjusted my spine INCORRECTLY and now I'm paying the price for trusting me wellness to this man. I don't want him to ever hurt anyone else. I may need surgery to repair the damage he has done to my rib muscles & ligaments but he won't even acknowledge his fault. When he told me to hold a pillow for the pain I was going to experience, it was as if he was reading the weather. No compassion, no empathy and incompetent!! Oh myyyyyy... a business that is actually a chiropractic dream? Sign me up! Oh wait, I did! When your dog knocks you out of bed and you pop a rib out of place as well as your shoulder, neck, and a few verts, what's a soul to do since all your dog can do is look over the edge of said bed and wonder why mom has fallen and can't get up. And you know he's laughing. Like, belly rubs laughing. Did I mention it's a Saturday morning? Yeah. There's that. From start to finish, everyone at The Joint was ultra caring, compassionate, and masterful. I've had 2 adjustments and will have a third tomorrow. After each one, I felt better. But, don't get it as twisted as I did... it didn't feel better for at least 12 hours. Ice packs were involved as was a couple trips to the hot springs--- oh darn! I'm so grateful for Jasmine taking the time to process my paperwork although the computers were being computers. Every establishment in Carson needs someone like her interacting with the clientele. Dr. Rushing is awesome. He has a unique technique, 90% of the time adjusts my tight, tight neck manually, after massaging the area (what dr does that?) and uses an activator on 10% where it just won't budge. I ALWAYS leave feeling better. I have been a JOINT client since 2014, and will continue to buy the annual package until I'm 6 ft under. You can't get care at this price. I want to add that the front desk staff is the friendliest I've experienced. They know be by first name, before scanning in, and treat me so kindly. If I have to wait more than 20 mins, I scan in and come back. That's rare. I usually get in within 5 to 7 mins. I don't know what else to say, other than I love this clinic! You will too!
