They hired a new store manager, who fired all the decent employees who had been there for years. They've been replaced with kids who have no idea what they're doing. The store looks like a bomb went off inside - empty shelves, clutter, carts and bins of merchandise just sitting in the aisle for days at a time. The cash register at the front of the store has been broken for over a year, so you have to always check out at the photo counter. It's just a dump. There is a collection of old, junk cars in their parking lot that they let people live in, sell drugs out of, turn tricks....wtf knows what's going on. Broken windows, flat tires, random people wandering around, yelling at all hours of the night. Went in to get a flu shot and after waiting in line for over 20 minutes. Get to the front of the line, I'm told to check in by scanning a QR code. 'I don't want to scan the QR code. Can't you just check me in?' 'No, scan the QR code or no shot.' And I guess at this point I just sort of had it, and left. Sorry I'm not interested in scanning your code so that Walgreens can get all the data off my phone and sell it to 3rd parties. You just watched me stand here for 20 minutes....you seriously can't check me in on your computer? You're telling me that no old folks walk in here and don't have smart phones? Get real, and get f'd. It sucks because this place is literally right next door and convenient - I go there almost daily, but at this point I'm done with this store.

I have seen all the updates and makeovers and will stay with them as long as they are there. I have had some tough technicians and some amazing technicians. Right now, every single person working in there are incredible humans and treat us with respect and kindness. To name a few, Ethan, Kimberly, Reese, Sadie and Angela. I have been in a long line and have watched some customers berate the pharmacists and the pharmacy technicians. These people have been yelled at through the gate because they closed and the customer missed getting in there on time. Thank you for all you do! Every time they take her meds to the med tech where she lives and then the medication is lost. When we call to get a status update and Lisa answers the phone she is rude and short with you. We are now waiting on the delivery driver from dahls to bring back the paperwork to the office at dahls to see who signed for the medication and if in fact it was delivered. I will not be using dahls ever for my own personal use after seeing month after month the struggle just to get her medications delivered to her properly as requested each time and the rudeness of some of the staff is appalling. Luckily for them I'm nice even though they are extremely rude over the phone.

The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! I saw the big sign on the wall, "water boiled". What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York, I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking at each store. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. I go up to the little kiosk thingy and tap in 5 hot dogs and sodas ... $7.50 the feed the whole crew! plus a little tax of course. The staff whips those out in no time and we fill our sodas. I like they switched back to coke products, I like them better than Pepsi products. Over at the condiments, we all squeeze out the mustard, relish and catsup on our dogs and sit at the open tables. These are a little messy to eat, so better make a mess at tables, than inside the Suburban! This was a nice tasty treat in the morning to keep everybody happy till we get to Sacramento.
