I can tell you what you could improve and it's so simple, you know you are constantly out of something in the condiment bar, yet there's stuff you never have to feel I got an idea this stuff you never have to feel cut in half the stuff you constantly have to fill double every time I go there if I want a breakfast burrito, you're out of pico de gallo. If I want a soda, you're out of them I want or ice if I have coffee you're out of creamer. I wonder if the employees understand that their job is more than sitting behind the counter, when there's nobody to help walk the store. Gayle and I filled up the car here yesterday on our way to Reno, on a very snowy and low visibility day. I checked GasBuddy before I left home, and while this Maverik didn't have the cheapest per gallon price, it was just off the College Parkway exit on US395/I580. That made it a fairly easy on and off the freeway drive, save for the relatively unplowed exit and entrance ramps. I'll see Maverik again when I return to Iowa, as they purchased the Kum & Go chain and that brand will be replaced with the Maverik name. My experience yesterday was what you'd expect from this chain experience: wide fueling aisles, competitive pricing, easy transactions, and a mini-mart or comfort stop inside if I wanted it. read more

This station was very clean outside and inside. They have plenty of pumps for cars & trucks since its right next to a highway. We were on a road trip and stopped to fill up here. The customer service received by Alana and Donna were very friendly and helpful. They have several items to choices from and even have a place to order simple Mexican food or premade foods as well. The tacos were great. Overall, this was a very impressable place and great on prices for gasoline and items from the store. read more

I don't know if it's Maverik, this particular Maverik, or if it has to do with being in Carson City, but I frequently find myself making this gas station a destination! For starters the prices here are typically .30-.40 or more lower than Reno. You can drive here in most cars and still save money! Next, it's massive! The lanes are wide, parking spaces aplenty, and a lot of pumps available too. It's always pretty clean, very well lit, and a comfortable experience every time. And one thing I love about all Maverik stations is the clean convenience store and cafe, and the very well kept bathrooms. read more

I go to the one on hwy 50 in Carson city. They have sticky buns and they make burritos and such. It has an island set up for trucks and RVs. There is easy access and the area is large and open. The atmosphere is good. The people are friendly. But the bathrooms. All the mavericks. After a years the bathrooms just get worse and worse. They spend a fortune creating a beautiful bathroom and don't have people come in and keep it clean. I went into the bathroom the other day the piss film built up on the floor at the base of the urinal was the worst. And the smell. Thing like that say a lot about the place. Gas station down the street from the Harley dealership? Excellent location! Gas prices were on par with the stations in the area. Now how do you follow up to that? You throw in bike friendly pumps. You also ensure that all of the paper towel dispensers are fully stocked. Paper towels are critical to fueling up a motorcycle so with them lacking, or missing completely, it makes the task nearly impossible. A plethora of tasty snacks and beverages? Score! Yes, it is a Gas Station, but Maverick is more than that... Wherever I am in their store, it feels like I am in for an adventure and usually I am there before a long road trip down Southern CA. they have great selection of everything and hot food section, a coffee bar, a Milk Shake station and very clean bathroom... In all appearances this gas station looks convenient, but there are some serious issues. The main problem is the gas pumps computer system. They often slow down considerably and will lag or clear the information you're attempting to enter. This has happened several times over the past few months, and talking to other customers, it's all of the pumps. To compound this issue I've noticed that they appear to have plenty of employees who are all very friendly, but only one ever manning the cash register. There may be three employees behind the counter, and a line of five customers, but only one cashier. It seems like management needs to step in and make some improvements. read more

I do not even think this place deserve a star. Everything about this place was horrible. I am an owner operator. I been to many truckstop and I can say I do not recommend this place. The place itself is pretty clean if you do not count the fact that everything is basically out. I went to the bathroom can you can tell they have not went around and clean the bathroom. The stall i was in had empty toilet paper roll. Then I couldn't dry my hands because the paper towel roll was empty. I tried getting a fresh cup of coffee but of course they were empty to. I was finally able to track a staff down to make a fresh pot. During the mean time I went to pump fuel in my truck. I came back and got my coffee. Have discovered that they were out of creamer. It seems like none of the staff keep track of everything running out. What really surprise me most was when i was at the register. The customer service is HORRIBLE. The cashier was too busy on the phone calling someone daddy instead of helping me ring up my coffee. No wonder why everything was out. Staff to busy being on the phone. Use to be great but now multiple pumps don't work for the last three weeks. It's the new norm for the card readers to not work either. You go to the register and tell the clerk the card reader on pump 15 isn't working and they say "go ahead and swipe your card here at the counter". They use to say something to the effect like thanks for letting us know and we will get that fixed. Now it's just routine for the employees to hear readers don't work and nothing is done about it. What a horrible inconvenience especially when their pump hoses are not long enough to reach to the other side of your car if you can't find a pump that is on the correct side. With that said, I'll likely only be stopping in here if I don't have any other options. read more

I've been purchasing gas from Maverik for some time and except for the all too frequent situation where some of the pumps were out of order and the receipt printers not working I kept on buying their gas. However, the other evening I needed to put air in one of my tires. So I used my credit card to buy some air. However, I couldn't get the pump to work so I went inside and asked the clerk about it. The response was "Oh, that's not working. A work order was submitted a couple of days ago". We used to gas up at a local card lock just to avoid the waiting lines you see at many of the local stations. Of course, there was a premium to pay, but I thought it was worth it. Enter the Maverick... We stopped in right after they opened the place and met the owner. Then we joined the Adventure Club to get the additional savings on our gas. I've never had to wait to fill up - ever. There's plenty of pumps and they're always working. What a concept! It helps that the day I usually fill up (every two weeks), I hit the station at around 3am. Gee, nobody there but me... I've only gone inside a couple times when I felt the uncontrollable need to buy some sort of junky snack. This is snack heaven! I can ALWAYS find something I 'need' to eat. If you use your debit card make sure to get the black rewards card because you get four cents off a gallon then if you hook up your debit card. If you get the regular rewards card you still get two cents off a gallon without hooking up any card to it they have the best prices around there always clean and they offer a lot in their store it's the best gas station in my opinion. read more
