I wrote the last review of this Pacific Gasoline station a little less than a year ago, and didn't…read moregive it much thought afterwards. Growing up, my Father and Grandfather owned and operated an APCO station in Estherville, Iowa, hence my tendency to review every gas station I come across. Gasoline is a commodity, so things like price, clean restrooms (as applicable), and convenience are my key interests in what is usually an unremarkable customer experience. Hence, a 3 Star "A-OK" rating is the most common. That's what this Pacific Gasoline Station received then and right now. I have filled up several times since the review, and what I wrote remains true today. So yesterday, I'm attending a Genoa Western Heritage Day event, look at my phone, and see that a comment had been added to my review. I've pasted it in below, and I'll have to say that it's rare to be personally attacked that way for a middle-of-the-road "A-OK" review. Looking at similar (and lower) Yelp reviews, it appears that I'm not the only one in this "owner's" crosshairs, who might not take such realistic comments well. Since this is a self-serve station and he/she isn't normally around to police customer experiences, I'll be sending knowing smiles and optimism his/her way every time I fill up. SMH. "Our business does not cater to the entitlement that you clearly displayed here in your review. Being a customer does not give you a right to patronize businesses because your ego has less than accommodating expectations. All businesses should be vigilant towards narcissistic customers like you. Thank you for saving our customers from the grief you carry around with you by passing on by."

Lately, the prices have equaled out but it's a nice adventure to travel to. Before or after our visit. That's part of the beauty of open 24 hours. Plus, there's not many options for gas at two a.m. in Carson, should the need arise. Like most petro stations, there's a mini mart available. While I've never been in there, I see a small casino, too. They tell me the pizza was killer, unfortunately it has been discontinued. I wanted to stop in cause I saw as I was browsing the internet, that Costco has changed up the…read morebagel selection. They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to buy two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! I saw the big sign on the wall, "water boiled". What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York, I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking at each store. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. Try them out!
