No multiple swipes or taps, just wave it on front of the scanner once and it's done, get to pumping! I was surprised there weren't huge lines here, like most of the Costco gas stations. I think this is one of the least crowded Costcos, the store included, well, compared to any big city Costco. All gassed up and then the pump asks by default, is no receipt OK? If you want one, then it will print one, but just go online to your Costco account page and see all your purchases, including the gas! I like this Costco Gas station!

There was a time when only cash was accepted. Then debit cards were accepted for a fee. Same today, I had some coffee and some snacks for my kids that were swimming. There was a $.35 fee for using my debit card? It would be understandable if the prices here were cheaper than anywhere else. But they are not. Maveriks of the road is cheaper for gas, cheaper for coffee, and they don't charge a ATM or debit fee. That being said, the counter person was really friendly. I did like the coffee. And I did not buy gas here lol. So overall it was a pleasant experience. I do like how friendly the cashier was. I would definitely come back.

This station is not one of them. The old ARCO (or should I say British Petroleum) only accepted cash or debit cards, had clean restrooms, and featured a decent AM-PM mini-mart model. But the times they are a changing, which you'll see at the North Carson Arco near the Carson-Tahoe Medical Center. They now take credit cards, while maintaining their business model. I stopped in this Arco to fill up a couple weeks ago and when my credit card was rejected, I went inside, only to receive a scolding that this was still a debit card joynt. Did I expect attitude with self-service? No, and having their preferred debit card was besides the point.

When you live in Genoa, there's really nothing close-by and the best choices were this Chevron station or maybe Terribles just past the US 50 turnoff (to Reno) from US 395. I chose the former as it was just a bit South of the Jacks Valley Road/US 395 junction. My customer experience is that it was an uneventful (yet appreciated) self-serve fill-up on a dark and cold morning. What I saw, is what I got, including a little higher pump price than what I would have received at Mavericks, Costco, etc. But sometimes you have to pay for the convenience when time is short.
